Chapter 12
"... thought you would never ask."
After Kevin left, I went out for a jog. I ran around the park until I was hungry. On my way back home I stopped buy a shop to get some congee for breakfast.
Placing the congee on the coffee table I turned on the TV and sat on the couch.
"...the line up at the box office is huge!" exclaimed the news reporter on TV.
Watching the news a mumbled to myself, "Who's the big star they are all lining up for this time." To my surprise, I see Raymond, Bosco, and Ron, walking out of the mall where they held an autograph session.
"R2B will be holding their concert in two weeks. If you want to come see these handsome young hunks live you better come and get your tickets now!" the news reporter finished.
I quickly called Tavia to ask her about this concert. Though I would usually pass on such outings, but this time these celebrities were my friends, one of whom being a very close friend who has helped me a lot.
I couldn't reach Tavia, I kept reaching her voicemail. I left a message telling her to call me back as soon as she could. I decided to walk over to Raymond's place to see how he was doing but suddenly I got a phone call. Thinking that it was Tavia I quickly picked up, "Hello Tavia?"
"Chamaine? It's Gigi," the person on the other side corrected me.
"Hey," I said. I haven't spoken to Gigi for a long time. After all that has happened, we grew apart, in my perspective. "What's up?"
"Oh, not much. I was just wondering if you wanted to go out tomorrow. I have a day off, and we haven't spent some girl time for a long while."
"Sure," I responded. After all she was my friend, how could I say no. Maybe we could mend things up.
"So we'll meet at the mall by your place then?"
"Okay."
"I'll see you tomorrow then, bye."
"Bye."
Just as I close my phone, I get another phone call. This time I checked my caller ID and I was sure that it was Tavia. "Hello? Tav?"
"Charmaine, you called me?" she asked.
"Yeah, I was wondering, I saw that Raymond and they have a concert..." I paused. Tavia's end of the line was really noisy.
"Charmaine, I can't hear you. I'm with the guys right now, and it's really noisy where we are. We're going over to Raymond's place right now, do you want to come? I have something to give to you," she shouted over the phone.
"Okay!" I yelled back.
Not too long after a car arrived outside my house honking to let me know of its arrival. I walked out to see Raymond sitting in the car.
He got out of his seat, walking over to the other side to open the door for me to go in.
I smiled at him, "Thanks."
"My pleasure," he said as I giggled at his comment.
"So where are the rest of them?" I asked as he started up his car.
"They are waiting at my place."
There was silence during the car ride until both of us said each other's name simultaneously.
"Charmaine/Raymond," Raymond and I both called out at the same time.
We both laughed at each other's silliness.
"You first," he insisted.
"Umm... I was wondering about your concert. I haven't heard you guys mention that it was so soon," I said a little disappointed and left out since I wasn't notified earlier.
"I was just going to ask-" he paused as we arrived in front of his house. "Charmaine are you free on the weekend two weeks from now? I was wondering if you had time to attend my concert," he finished off as he handed me a ticket with a VIP backstage pass.
I smiled at him, "Thought you would never ask."_____________________________________________
Hey you guys, I'm sorry for the SUPER late update. I'll warn you guys now, and won't lie about the fact that I know my next update won't be for a long time (probably in December during my winter break). Ever since school started, I've been piled with work, and I'm slowly falling behind. Thus, I am unable to update this story as often as I would like to. I'm really really sorry. BUT, I do intend on finishing it, and not leave everyone hanging in the middle of no where.
Well this chapter was actually written after my last update, but was not completed, so it kind of ended weird since it's been a while. I felt the need to post it since it seems like I've gone missing for the longest time.
Once again, very sorry for putting this story on hiatus, but I shall be back as soon as I can. And as always, I hope you guys enjoy and don't forget to comment =).
