Chapter 2

Lost a Chance

That night, all of the students gathered in the theater hall for the event. All the students that are candidates for the play are excited except Ella. The truth is, she didn’t want to participate for the play. Just because of her best friend Charlene who join her in the play without her permission.

The play was different from the past school play because this event is "on the spot" acting, and the committee of the main event will choose among the candidates. As the event about to start, the president of the school, Mr. Jiang Si Le, surprisingly announce that the two candidates that will chosen for the play will win a two round trip ticket for two in Macau.

All the students are getting noisy and get excited when they heard the announcement.

"What? TRIP TO MACAU?" Ella and Charlene said.

"Char... tell me... it’s not true right?" Ella said unbelievable.

"You hear it right Elle..." said Charlene.

"Oh my god! I should be the one who choose for the female role!" Ella said

"Eh, I thought you don’t want to participate for the play?" Charlene looked at her with cross eye brows.

"Who told you?" she asked like Charlene doesn’t know.

"You!" said Charlene. "You told me when I joined you."

"Eh! I just want to win the prize...” said Ella while she was reading again her script. "One of my dreams is to have a roundtrip ticket to Macau. I search it in the internet and it said that Macau is the Las Vegas of Asia.

[Chun POV]

"Ahhh..trip to Macau..." He thought. As he heard the two girls are talking about the prize. Looks like he was thinking of something and he stood up.

[End of POV]

"Whei..." Charlene patens Ella.

"What..." she replied.

"Look..." said Charlene

"Char, can’t you see, I’m reading my script." said Ella

"Look!" Charlene said again.

"What!" Ella replied.

"Chun..." Charlene giggled. "Hayy...He’s so handsome..." with a sparkling eyes.

"Who?" said Ella looking at Charlene. "Char, I don’t have time for that okay? Not now." she continues reading.

"Eh, wait..." Charlene looks at her. "Do know him right?"

"Who?!" said Ella that is getting annoyed already to bestfriend.

"Wu Ji Zun!" said Charlene and point her fingers towards Chun while he was talking of one the committee’s.

"Char..." Ella rolled her eyes. "I don’t want to my night to be ruin just because of that stingky guy."

"Mr. Chou, can you change me for the male lead. said Chun.

"But Chun, it was already set up. You can’t back out." said Mr. Chou

"There is someone who is better than me." Chun said.

"Besides, I don’t want to messed the play."

"But, we already promised this to your Mom." said Mr. Chou

"Don’t worry about my mom, I’ll explain it to her okay?" said Chun

"But-"

"No buts Mr. Chou." said Chun. "It’s final." and he walk away to Mr. Chou and go back to his seat.

At the last minute before the play was going to start, the committee decided to replaced Joe Cheng for Chun and the female lead is Ariel Lin.

Ella felt sad of the decision. "Ella, your efforts are wasted." said Charlene.

"It’s okay.." said Ella smiling. "There always a second chance."

"But, Ella, this is only the chance." said Charlene.

"Don’t say that..." said Ella.”Maybe not now, and who knows, in other way right?". Charlene nodded. "I’ll just to the comfort room. I’ll just changed my clothes." Ella excused.

"Okay." said Charlene.

Chun saw Ella went outside. "Where she going?" and he stood up and followed her.

Ella was walking in the school compound under moonlight. She’s now wearing a black bubble dress with rhines stone ancient, that standing out her porcelain skin. She sat down in a bench under a tree and watching some leaves falling from the tree and watch over the stars from the sky. Then suddenly, a voice sound familiar to her broke the silence of the night.

"How many stars did God steal from sky when he made your eyes?"

She turn her head towards the voice and she saw a guy standing wearing a black tuxedo.

"You again!" she said and stand up.
