Lee Hom walked into the streets and headed for his car. Ever since he walked out of the place, his mind had been filled with nothing but her face. He struggled to shrug that suffocating feeling he had been feeling ever since dinner started. He stuck his keys into the car door and heard a voice from behind.
"Lee Hom!" Lee Hom turned around, half-expecting it was who he wanted it to be. He felt his heart drop in disappointment as a tall and slender woman stood in front of him. She was one of her father's business partner's only daughter, Xiao Qiao, whom he had once almost got engaged to. Lee Hom gave her a slight nod and got into his car. The last thing he wanted was to get involved with a wild party animal like her.
Xiao Qiao pouted her lips, used to that lack of attention Lee Hom gave her, but that was also what attracted her to him. She knew he was different from other men who showered her with too much attention. Lee Hom was perfect in her eyes and she wanted him more than any other men in the world. She trotted over to his car and got into the passenger seat and closed the car door. Xiao Qiao paused for a split second before raising her brows. Usually, Lee Hom would politely ask her to get out of his car and cook up whatever excuse possible to get her out of his way. But tonight was a little different. Lee Hom did not mutter any word of reluctance, he did not even seem to notice Xiao Qiao's presence in his car. Instead, Lee Hom just gripped his steering wheel and kept staring at it.
Right when Xiao Qiao was about to snap him out of his thoughts. Lee Hom started the engine and sped off the lot. Xiao Qiao observed the man beside her, her mouth formed a little smile as she leaned back into the seat, hoping tonight would be a change for the better between her and Lee Hom.

Vanness and Hebe sat by a river, enjoying their ice-cream. It felt good to be enjoying the breeze of the night wind, and having an interesting conversation with each other.
"...Lee Hom respected his father's decision to let him take over his company, although he was very reluctant at first, but he knew it was a part he had to play...and I really admired him for that, having to sacrifice a lot of his time to work is not easy. Look at me, I haven't been helping with my family's business at all. It's hard when you have a family burden on your shoulders." Vanness said and turned to Hebe to look at her reaction. She was staring at the dark river in her own thoughts. Vanness smiled, he could see heartache written all over her pretty face. He recalled the earlier encounter at dinner. Hebe may not have noticed, but having been friends with Lee Hom like forever, Vanness knew almost immediately that there was something else going between the two of them, but they were not aware of that. Lee Hom had always been much of a woodblock in love, and Vanness have never really seen Lee Hom look at other women the way he does to Hebe. Lee Hom must really love Hebe, Vanness thought to himself, but that fool is not even aware of his own feelings. And he could see that Hebe was feeling the same way for Lee Hom. Vanness gave a little laugh, maybe it's time he gave a little help to his pal.
"What are you laughing at?" Hebe broke his chain of thoughts. Vanness turned to her and shrugged.
"Nope, nothing in particular, just... thinking about the look on his face during dinner."
"You mean Lee Hom? What look on his face?" Hebe gave a confused look.
"Haha, you really didn't notice anything? He looked like he didn't like the way we talked to each other and left him out of it."
"...He did..felt that way?Haha, maybe he's too used to being in the limelight..." Hebe muttered and licked her spoon.
"You think that way? He's not that kinda person to care what others are doing, only to maybe some special person." Vanness look at Hebe. "You really don't know?" Vanness frowned a little, how could she not notice it?
"Know what?...I don't think so..." Hebe gave an uneasy laugh.
"Then do you know you've been asking about him ever since we left the restaurant just now?" Hebe was startled by Vanness's question. She...did? Hebe avoided Vanness's piercing glance and chose to ignore his question. What is he trying to say? Deep inside though, Hebe felt like she knew the answer to his question and the reason for that. Lee Hom's face floated into her mind, his eyes looking straight into hers. Just the thought of it made her heart skipped a bit. Hebe shook her head furiously, hoping to shake Lee Hom out of her mind.
Unknown to her, Vanness had noticed every action she had done and was watching in amusement.
"I guess the answers clear. It's whether you two decide to face it or not..." Vanness muttered matter-of-factly. He smiled at Hebe. "It's late, I guess I'll send you back to his house. Maybe...things will change tonight?"
