Xiao Qiao stared at the girl standing in front of her. Who is she? What is she doing in Lee Hom's place? Jealousy spreads through her body.
"Who is she? Why is she in your house?" Xiao Qiao turned to Lee Hom and asked, pointing a slim, manicured finger at Hebe.
"Do I have to report to you whatever I have done?" Lee Hom retorted back, unhappy with her tone. Xiao Qiao's eyes raged with anger as she glared at Hebe.
"Wang Lee Hom! So you're just like the other guys I've known. You dump girls after using them. Don't ever let me see you again!" Xiao Qiao screamed at Lee Hom before making her way down the stairs angrily. She stopped beside Hebe and whispered into her ears.
"So you're one of his new girlfriends. Beware of him. You'll end up used just like me." She curled her lips into a smile and deliberately knocked her shoulders with Hebe before storming out of the house. Hebe grabbed her shoulder in her hand as she watched Xiao Qiao leave. Silence began to fill the whole house as Hebe stared at the ground, recalling everything that had happened.
To think that five minutes ago she was actually worried about Lee Hom having the wrong idea about Vanness and her. He seemed to be having a great time instead, Hebe thought in her mind, and she had actually ruined his great night. She wanted to run away and hide, she didn't think that Lee Hom would be such a person, but now she had seen it with her own eyes.
"I am so sorry to ruin your night." Hebe muttered sarcastically to Lee Hom before walking quickly up the steps. Lee Hom stared at Hebe as she approaches him.
"We didn't do anything..." He tried to explain. Hebe ignored him and continued up the stairs. As she was about to pass him, Lee Hom grabbed her wrist and repeated his words. "We really didn't do anything."
"Do you have to report to me whatever you've done? It's none of my business and I don't want to know what you have been doing with other women." Hebe retorted back, as if trying to reassure herself that she had no right to know what really happened.
"I don't...Why do you have to believe whatever Xiao Qiao said just now, I already said-" Lee Hom's words were interupted by Hebe.
"I saw it with my own eyes."
"But things are not what it seems..." Lee Hom tried in vain to make her listen and believe what she had just seen was just a misunderstanding.
Hebe looked away from him, she refused to listen to whatever he says, what's the use of explaining something when she had already seen it with her own eyes? For a moment she had actually thought that she had fallen in love with him. This is all so wrong...
"Enough. I really don't want to know whatever happened. You don't have to explain anything to me at all, it's your freedom to do whatever you like and be with any woman you want. It's none of my-" Hebe's words become muffled as her lips were sealed with his. Lee Hom's sudden action made Hebe freeze, her heart started racing and her mind turned blank. She had no idea how to react in that split second.
Lee Hom felt her warmth in his hands and the tender sweetness of her lips with his. He was not sure what made him pull her towards him, he felt that this was the only way to seal her mouth. This was the only way to make her listen, after all, action does speak louder than words. Well, maybe not.
Hebe pushed him away abruptly and covered her mouth with her own hands.
"What are you doing?" She stared at Lee Hom as her eyes turned watery. How could he do this? How could he kiss her after kissing another woman. She was so wrong about him. "I'm not one of your cheap girlfriends, so don't treat me like one!" Hebe shouted with all her might, but her words came out like a whimper. She ran into her room and locked herself inside.
Lee Hom watched as Hebe ran away from him, further and further away from him. He couldn't stop her, don't know how to. What had he done? He didn't mean to do it, he didn't know it would hurt her. He was sorry but he was not able to let her know that. Lee Hom inhaled deeply and leaned onto the railings.
He was sorry and he wanted her to understand. He wanted her to know that he was struggling because he had fallen in love with her.

Hebe leaned on her door and slid down slowly onto the floor. She hugged her knees towards her chest and buried her face into them. She was so confused and lost. That was her first kiss. Her first was meant to be for the right person. Was he? Was he the right person? No. How could he be? They were bounded together only by a deal. A silly deal she made. A silly deal he agreed to only because of a jade pendant that was rightfully his. Why didn't she just return it to him that time, then all of this wouldn't have happen. She had brought this upon herself. Once the deal is over, they would not have anything to do with each other ever again.
Now's the time the deal is over, Hebe decided. It's just a matter of time. She will leave tomorrow. Return the jade pendant and leave immediately. This is all a dream, and tomorrow she will wake up from this dream and pretend that it had never happen. No matter how much her looks have changed from the makeover, she's just herself at the end of the day. Hebe was so foolish to think that by looking prettier on the outside, her life will be better. She was so wrong. An ugly duckling will always be an ugly duckling.
It was a fairytale gone wrong.
