Hebe stood up from her bed and dragged the luggage quietly out of the room. She stopped outside Lee Hom's room and hesitated. His door was half-open and the room inside was dark, with only rays of the morning light streaming in through slits from the closed curtains. Hebe decided that it was just basic courtesy to leave a note and inform him that she was leaving. Leaving her luggage resting outside, she pushed open the door gently and walked into the room.
She scrutinised the room in the dim light and caught sight of a tiny table by the window.
"Morning." Hebe jumped at the sound coming from the side and turned towards it. She held her breath as she saw him, sitting on the carpeted floor against the side of his bed. Lee Hom glanced at Hebe's half-silhouetted face and turned back to face the window.
"You...why are you still here..." Hebe immediately realised what a stupid question she had asked.
"Because this is my room?"
"You..You're up so early?" Hebe laughed uneasily.
"Didn't sleep."
"Anyway, I'm leaving." Lee Hom, who had been avoiding eye contact with Hebe since the conversation started, finally turned and look at her in the eye.
"Leaving?" Lee Hom stood up slowly from the floor and walked towards her.
"Yeah...I was thinking. It's been 3 weeks already. You've completed your part of our deal. I should return you the jade pendant..." Hebe took the pendant off her neck and stretched out her hand.
"You're returning it to me..." Lee Hom stared at the pendant, unsure of how to react.
"It's rightfully yours. I'm sorry about the carvings on the jade..." Hebe shoved the pendant into his hand. "I gotta go, bye." Lee Hom held the pendant tightly in his hand. So, this is your decision, he thought to himself. But this is also what he wanted, right? He finally got the jade pendant back. Isn't this what he wanted? This is what should have happened, Lee Hom assured himself. He got back the pendant, now he would not have anything else to do with Hebe. Nothing else to do with her, he had no idea why his heart sank when he thought of that.
"I'll send you..." Lee Hom offered and walked after her. Hebe hesitated before accepting his offer.
"Erm..Ok."
"Can you please send me to the train station." Hebe asked as they got into his car.
"Train station? Why? Where are you going?" Lee Hom asked worriedly.
"I'm going back to my hometown. Since I've lost my job for not turning up for more than 3 weeks, i might as well take a little holiday and visit my aunt in Rui Shui."

Lee Hom and Hebe never said a word throughout the entire car ride to the train station. One concentrated on driving slowly while the latter looked out of the car window at the passing streets.
Lee Hom bit the inside of his cheek and tighten his grip on the steering wheel. Lee Hom, you jerk. He scolded himself, why didn't you tell her your true feelings? You wanted her to stay, why don't you say it? SAY IT! Stop being a coward and say it! Lee Hom pushed those thoughts out of his mind and tried in vain to concentrate on his driving.
They pulled up outside the train station. After what felt like an eternity of silence, Hebe finally spoke.
"Erm, thank you for sending me here." Hope we get to meet again, Hebe managed to swallow the last part of her words back into her stomach. "You don't have to send me in." Hebe stopped him as he tried to get out of his car. "Thanks. Bye."
Lee Hom remained quiet and watched as she walked into the station. His hand reached for the door handle and hesitated.
"Wang Lee Hom, you're such a coward. You don't even dare to tell a girl you like her." Lee Hom scolded himself. "Sh*t!" He cursed under his breath stepped hard on the gas and turned out of the station.

Lee Hom had been driving aimlessly on the streets when his mobile phone rang. It rang for a few times before he reluctantly put on his hands-free set and connected the call. The call was from JR.
"Lee Hom! We've just received an anonymous phone call. The caller said that there is bomb planted in the Taipei train station." JR. shouted over the phone without waiting for Lee Hom to answer. "They said that the bomb was targeted at a chinese woman heading for Rui Shui." Lee Hom's heart skipped a beat as the information flowed into his ears. Did he hear correctly? A bomb? At the train station? Rui Shui. Rui Shui. Rui Shui. Hebe's words flowed into his mind.
"I'm going back to my hometown. Since I've lost my job for not turning up for more than 3 weeks, i might as well take a little holiday and visit my aunt in Rui Shui." I might as well take a little holiday and visit my aunt in Rui Shui.
"Rui Shui!" Lee Hom muttered to himself, ignoring JR.'s voice over the other end of the phone. Chinese woman. Rui Shui. Lee Hom recalled the incident at Gao Shiung. The gun shots. Hebe's injury. Hebe! They were targeting her! "Hebe..." He muttered again. Lee Hom tried to remain calm and responded to JR. "JR. Hebe's in danger, I'm going to the train station now. You track the caller." With that, Lee Hom hung up and stepped on the car brakes as he tried to make a U-turn and sped off towards the train station.
Please don't let anything happen to her, Lee Hom prayed silently. He should have stopped her from going just now!

Author's note: Heyz, hope you guys loved the story so far. Thanky ou for all the comments you've been giving me. I hope i can improve...hahaz. Newayz... just to let ya know that the story's 3/5 finished and I'm currently working on the second story. Which will be a sequel to this one but will be on JR. 'Cos I feel quite sad that he's just kind of like a supporting char in the story, so in the sequel, there will be a whole new story, the story is going to be mainly on him, but the background information (e.g the Organisations and characters) will mostly remain. New characters will be introduced too of course. So let this be a little preview of what's after this current story on Lee Hom and Hebe.
Thanks alot for taking time off to read. I really appreciated it... Thanks!
Love,
