Hebe stepped a step forward. Lee Hom! As if he could hear Hebe call his name, he turned and looked into the camera. Tears started to fill Hebe's eyes. This is all her fault. She had caused him to be in such danger. If something happens to him, she would not be able to forgive herself.
"I figured you'll be interested to know about your Aunt's whereabouts..." Old Wang said from behind. Hebe clutched her fingers until her knuckles turned white. This is too much!
"My Aunt? Don't you harm her!"
"Don't worry, she's perfectly fine for now. But you will have the power to decide what happens to her after this..." Old Wang revealed an evil smile.
"You're threatening me?"
"This is not a threat, it's a deal. Think about it, if you agree to marry, you'll be able to live a life of luxury. Your family will be fine. Isn't that great?"
"Why do I have to marry you? Why can't I just let you have what you want, and I will bring my Grandfather and Aunt away..." Hebe figured the lives of her family and Lee Hom are more important than this empire which she had no feelings for. She did not want her closed ones to suffer because of her.
"Little girl, you are too naive. Firstly, you really think it's that easy to give an empire to whoever you like? If it's that easy, why would I have to waste so much time dealing with you? Secondly, you do not marry me, you will marry my son." Seeing Hebe with a confused look on her face, he continued. "The conditions in your father's will were that if you died, what he left for you will be entirely donated to charity. Besides that, you can only transfer your empire to whoever marries you. But don't worry, you will not lose anything if you agree to marry my son. As long as you've transfered your wealth to us, you will be free." Free in heaven, Old Wang thought in his mind.
This is all going wrong, it's happening too fast. Too fast for Hebe to react. What charity, what free. She needed time to think. She needed to be alone! All of a sudden, Hebe dashed out of the room. She too, had no idea what made her run, but she just felt she had to get away. She needed to make a choice!
Old Wang stood in the room and laughed to himself. He wasn't in any hurry to stop Hebe, she will not be able to make it out anyway. Old Wang pressed a button on his remote, the plasma screen immediately switched to a blue print of the whole storey. What Hebe didn't know of the house was that the whole place is filled with secret passages and mechanisms that can be altered as and when he likes. This way, Hebe would be running in circles, how could she ever get out? Old Wang laughed louder this time, to think it was Hebe's father who designed the mechanisms. What would he think if he knew that his design had caused his own daughter more trouble?
Hebe ran and ran along the corridors, but she could not find any exit. What is this? A maze? Hebe felt like she had been running forever, and everywhere she ran, she seem to be coming back to the same place. How could a house be as big as this? Everything and everywhere looked the same to her! She frantically searched for the stairs she had came up from earlier on, but there was no sign of any stairs at all. There was practically no exits!

Zax stepped out of his room, he had decided to go meet the girl he was going to marry. He could not understand why his father was dying to get the Tians' wealth, but he knew he had no right to ask, he had no right to disobey his father. Being rich and powerful was not a bad idea, maybe that was what his father wanted.
Zax stopped outside the corridor and looked around. The place looked a little different than before. Had someone meddled with the secret passages. Coming to think of it, the 'look' of the house hasn't been changed for quite some time. Having lived in this house since he was born, he had no difficulty walking through the different passages at all. He heard running footsteps at the other end of the corridor.
He collided with a figure as he tried to turn a corner. The girl lost her balance and fell a few steps back. Zax instinctively grabbed her hand and pulled her up. Hebe regained her balance and look at him. Zax looked back at her, was this the girl he was going to marry? Who else would be running in a house full of secret passages, she must be trying to run away.
"Please get me out of this place!" Hebe immediately realised what a stupid thing she had done, asking someone in the house for help. Although the man in front of her looked like someone she could trust, but she knew never to judge a book by its cover, he must be one of the bad guys, she had to run! Hebe shook his hand away and started to escape.
Zax grabbed her wrist just in time to stop her from running.
"Let me go! I need to get out of here! Let go!" Hebe started to struggle with all her might. She was right! This man was one of them!
"Calm down! Do you think you can get out of here without my help?" Zax loosened his grip on her hand as she stopped struggling.
What? Did she hear correctly? He wanted to help her get out? But he was right, she would not be able to get out of the place alone. This place was maze!
"I know this place is like a maze to you, because this is the first time you've been here." Hebe stared at him, he could read her mind! And he didn't look that bad after all.
"You can get me out?" Hebe looked at him.
"Of course not!" A voice sounded from behind them. Zax and Hebe turned around abruptly. She hid behind Zax when she saw who was in front of them.
"Dad?" Hebe looked at Zax. Dad? Old Wang was his father? He was the one she was supposed to marry? Hebe scolded herself for trusting him. How could she think that this man was trying to help her? "Dad, you'll frighten her by doing this." Hebe looked at him again, now she was confused. So is he helping her or not? But he didn't really look like a bad person...
"Stay out of this, Renfu. I will deal with her." Old Wang warned his son. Zax turned and looked at Hebe. "Miss Tian, it's time to make a decision."

I know it sounds a lil ridiculous having a maze in the house, i just wanted to make it sound a little out of the world... hahaz... Hope u still enjoyed the chap!
