Raymond stood at the front gates of Michelle’s house. Before he rang the bell, a maid was already approaching him.

“Mr. Lam, are you here to see Mistress?” she asked upon opening the gates.

“Yes, Sum Jie,” Raymond replies, as he enters, “Thanks, is Michelle home?”

“Yes, she’s asleep in her room right now.”

“Oh, I’ll come back later then,” Raymond starts to leave.

“That’s all right. Mistress said that if you’re here, to just call her,” Sum Jie explains.

Raymond gently opens Michelle’s bedroom door, as he walks in with as little movement as possible. After closing the door, he seats himself in an armchair next to Michelle’s bed, where she lies soundly asleep. There he sat looking at her, as he sees the soft, innocent nature to her.

Suddenly, Michelle gasps, as she reaches out and coincidentally grabs onto Raymond’s hand.

As she opens her eyes, “Raymond?” she gets up, reacting to her surprise.

“Hey,” Raymond says softly. “Are you all right?”

“Yes,” Michelle replies, recalling her dream, as she uncomfortably puts her hands together whilst sitting up in her bed.

“What’s wrong? Can you tell me about it?” he asks sincerely.

Michelle, hesitant to tell him, looks down towards her hands, only replies, “I really worry. I worry that you will someday leave me, and I will be left all alone,” still not looking up.

Raymond then takes Michelle’s hand, as she turns to see him looking directly to her, “Don’t worry,” he assures her whole-heartedly. “I’ll always be by your side, and you’ll never be left alone.”

Michelle, smiles through her tear-filled eyes, and leans over and hugs Raymond, smiling overwhelmingly to herself, as she continues to embrace him. Raymond too, smiles, reassuringly.

“Dad, it’s cold tonight,” she says, as she puts a jacket over him, “You shouldn’t always work late into the night.”

“Rain, you aren’t asleep yet?” he asks, as he gets up from his desk and walks her over to the sofa.

“No, can’t fall asleep tonight,” she explains, as they both seat themselves onto the sofa.

“You know, this past month and a half, you seem to have changed a lot,” he observes.

Rain smiles, “So is that a good thing or a bad thing.”

Ko Hung smiles at the comment, “Well, you’re more helpful now, since you spend more time learning to run the business, so I can feel comforted to hand it over to you.”

“Then it’s a good thing,” Rain says.

“But you don’t seem as happy, as the daughter I know,” he finishes, patting on her hand

Rain, looking down at her hands, “Really?”

“Is anything wrong?” he asks, concerned. “Remember, your dad here will support you in every way.”

“I’m all right,” Rain assures, “Besides, what can’t your daughter handle, right? After all, she takes after her dad,” Rain says smiling.

“You’re good at sweet-talking me, but if you really want to make me happy, you should bring home a boyfriend for me to see,” Ko Hung slips in.

“Wah, you’re pretty sneaky, changing the subject like that,” Rain catches, “But right now, your daughter hasn’t thought of having a boyfriend yet.”

“How about Alex? Both of you have been long time friends, and I can tell that he has feelings for you,” he suggests.

“Alex? Alex and I are just friends,” Rain explains, then recalls, “And I don’t want to be losing a friend by making things more complicated.”

“Okay, okay,” Ko Hung acknowledges, “You better be getting to bed, or you’ll wake up in the morning with big bags under your eyes,” he warns.

“Okay, but you don’t stay up too late either,” Rain responds.

“I won’t,” he promises, “Good night.”

“Night dad,” Rain says, leaving the room.

“Ready?”

“Yup,” she says cheerily, taking him by the arm as they walk, “I’m so glad you could take the day off with me today, Raymond.”

He smiles to her, “Well if Miss Yip wants me to, I will.”

Michelle smiles at the comment, “Which is why I’m so lucky to have you as my boyfriend,” she says, leaning her head against his shoulder, as they walk. “So where are we going today?”

“You’ll see,” he says smiling mischievously.

“I’m surprised you actually came out with me today,” he said looking at her, as they walk down the street.

“And why is that?”

“Well it seems like Miss Lee here, has been busy with her father’s business, that she has no time for her friend here,” he explains.

“Well, Mr. Fong, don’t worry,” Rain assures, “I’ll make time for you,” she says smiling. “So what do you have in mind to do today?”

“Hmm… that I believe, would be a surprise,” he taunts her.

“Well if you’re not going to tell me, I’m not sure if it’s safe to go,” Rain teases.

Alex looks at her in disbelief, “Knowing me…”

“I don’t know…” Rain continues, “I’m not sure if I know you that well now that you think of it,” she says, taking a small package from his hand, and taking off.

“Hey,” Alex responds, running after her.

“Are we there yet?” Michelle asks, looking around, “Seems like all the streets are so quiet today.”

“These streets are always quiet, only in the city center is it crowded,” Raymond explains, “I can tell you don’t come down these streets often.”

“Well, I’m starting to, only because you like to go for these long walks,” Michelle tells.

“Hey, you come back here.”

Hearing his faint call, but not seeing him, she starts to slow her pace, as she catches her breath, and begins to walk down the empty streets. Just then the latch from her bracelet snaps off, and her bracelet drops to the ground. She kneels slowly to pick up the bracelet, and as she gets up, hearing a soft conversation, looks up, coming face to face to them.
