Chapter 3

Teeny weeny bit jealous?

-JAE JOONG’S POV-

Umma?

I looked at his shocked face and back to the woman standing at the door and immediately stood up.

“Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Kim Jae Joong, Yun Hosshi’s tutor.” I said nervously as I played with my hands. She looked at me from top to bottom and back up again before her face turned into a complete grin and she threw her self forward, latching herself to me.

“Oh gosh you are so cute! I never expected Yunnie’s tutor to be this cute!” He squealed as she pinched my cheeks.

From the corner of my eye, I saw The Jung blush.

“Umma! Don’t call me that!” But his mother just giggled and released me.

‘Finally I can breathe.’

“What’s wrong? You used to like that nickname! You asked me to call you Yunniebear remember?” She tut-tutted and he blushed again. “Umma!”

I chuckled a little.

‘So this is what having a mother is like. Seems nice.”

“Remember Yunniebear—“

“Yun Ho!” He cut her off but she ignored him.

“Yunniebear, I want TWO grandchildren okay? Two. Both boys and—“

“Umma!” He whined and sat down on the bed and glared at her. She stopped talking and glared back at him.

“What’s wrong with a mother wanting grandchildren from her son? Huh?!” She sniffed and started crying dramatically.

‘Wahhhh! God! What have I done to deserve this! My son he… He’s turned gay!”

We both choked on our saliva.

“WHAT THE HELL?!”

She turned to look at the both of us, mouth open, eyes widened at her ridiculous statement.

“I was just joking…” She said as she pouted a little, poking her two index fingers together.

Yun Ho sighed and got off the bed to grab a sandwich and popped it into his mouth, keeping silent.

“Oh I haven’t introduced myself yet! Silly me!” His mother commented as she rummaged through her glittery purple purse.

She handed me a card and I squinted my eyes through my glasses to read it.

“Jung BoA.”

She gave a huge smile and nodded her head enthusiastically.

I bowed again, “Nice meeting you Mrs Jung.”

She frowned and I moved back slightly.

“D-Did I say something wrong?”

“No no no no no no no no no! This won’t do! Call me BoA. Just BoA. Mrs Jung sounds to formal and it makes me sound old.” She pretended to gag and I smiled a little.

Her face lightened up at my smile and she did so too.

“You look nicer when you smile.”

“Huh? Really?” I felt a blush creeping up to my cheeks and I bit my lip to hide a giggle.

“Thank you Mrs--- BoAsshi.”

“BoA.” She corrected.

I nodded and smiled. “BoA.”

“Umma are you leaving yet?” Yun Ho asked from the table, not bothering to look up at us.

“Huh! Is that how you talk to your mother who has been gone for the past two weeks because she was vacationing at New Zealand admiring the kangaroos?” He paused for a second before nodding.

“Yun Ho don’t talk to your mother like that.” I scolded.

But instead of talking back at me, he just looked away and remained quiet.

We both seemed to feel the tense atmosphere and his mother… BoA was the first to speak up.

“Well I better leave first! I still have like five luggage bags to unpack. You two have a nice time studying okay?” She waved bye and I waved back and gave a weak smile.

“Your mother is nice.” I said as I sat down at the table.

“Yeah and it was so clear she was flirting with you.” He said and grabbed another sandwich before stuffing it into his mouth. I don’t think he even chewed it before he swallowed it down.

“Huh? Flirt? She wasn’t flirting! She was just being nice!” I frowned at his weird assumptions.

“She was!”

“Was not!”

“She was!”

“Was not!”

“She was!”

“Was not!”

“She was!”

“Was not!”

“She was!”

“Urgh! So what if she was!” I threw my hands up in the air in defeat, even though I knew she wasn’t flirting with me.

“I don’t like it okay!” He glared at me and turned his head to face out of the window.

“Jung…” I tapped him on the shoulder but he didn’t budge.

“Just… just don’t do it again okay?” He muttered softly, making sure I was the only one who could hear it.

I nodded my head slowly and tapped him again.

“What?!” He looked at me, annoyed.

“Shall we continue with our work?” He looked surprised, as if he had forgotten that I was tutoring him but nodded anyway.

“Fine.”

He looked at the paper in front of him scribbled with English words.

“Can we do another subject? Please?”

“What subject do you want to do now?” He tapped his chin cutely and I couldn’t help but smile.

Who knew my arch enemy could be this cute?

… God help me. I think I’m turning gay.

WAIT WHAT THE HELL?! No I did NOT just think that. No no no no no.

“How about Science?” And I nodded. “Fine by me.”

I scanned through my pile of books on the table and pulled out my Science textbook.

“Biology!” I announced and flipped to the page. He groaned and glared at me.

“You know that’s my last liked component in Science don’t you?!”

“Nope. I thought all the modules in Science were your least liked so I lost track.” I said and pulled out my pen, looking for a suitable question for this bird brain here.

“Growers of fruit trees have always had problems with insects. Insects cause visible damage to fruits, making them less appealing to consumers. As a result of this damage, much of the fruit cannot be sold. Insecticides have been useful for controlling these insects, but, in recent years, some insecticides have been much less effective. In some cases, insecticides do nothing to stop the insect attacks. Identify the original event that resulted in the evolution of insecticide resistance in some insects.”

I read out the question to him and he just stared at me, mouth wide open.

“Were you speaking greek?”

I sighed and shook my head, “Korean genius. Korean.”

I took out the cap from my pen and passed it to him.

‘Give it a try?” He took it reluctantly and began writing his answer down on a piece of paper.

After five minutes, he passed me his paper and I read his answer.

Yet again, I was pleasantly surprised.

“Wow Jung! You have a great answer here! See I told you you can do it if you tried!”

After an initial application of the insecticide, not all of the insects present may have been killed. Maybe it rained, and the chemicals washed off, or the person who applied the chemicals didn't use enough, or the insects may have been more tolerant of that chemical. The insects that survived the first exposure to the chemical then bred and passed on that resistance to their offspring, and through continued insecticide applications that would kill the weaker insects, the ones that survived were the ones who could resist the chemicals best.

“Jung you’re smart! You can actually handle these questions! I don’t think you even need a tutor. Why act so dumb in class?” I asked, not really noticing his stiff attitude.

“It’s none of your business chicken. Stop meddling with my business before I get mad.” He snapped at me and I backed away slightly.

“Okay okay. No need to get so defensive Jung.”

I saw him draw a yawn and I looked at the clock. Another hour or so till my class ended.

‘I guess I can let him off today.’ I told myself.

“Are you tired?” I asked and he immediately sat up straight.

“Huh? N-No I’m not.”

I rolled my eyes. “Yeah right. I grabbed him from his chair and dragged him till he was on the bed.

“Get some sleep. I won’t ask why you’re so tired but judging from how much you slept in school today, I can tell you’re really tired.” He looked at me, surprised by my suggestion but lay down on the bed and muttered a ‘thanks’ before drifting off to dreamland.

“Aish this boy… Does he even know how to cover himself with a blanket?” I spoke to the wind as I took hold of the blanket and carefully draped it over him, making sure I didn’t wake him up.

I looked at his comfortable sleeping position and felt my back ache a little.

“God what time did I sleep last night? 2 maybe? I should ask that delivery service to change my shift to afternoon shift man…”

I looked at his bed and my body longed for it.

… Please. What are you thinking?

“He won’t mind if I take a short nap on his bed… Would he?” I shook away doubts and eased myself slowly onto the bed.

“Ahh… This is the life.” I said to myself as I got my legs entangled with the white fluffy blanket.

Unknown to me, since the room was cold, we both shifted our positions to find something warm to sleep next to and unfortunately… That thing was each other.

-END OF POV-

-ALLIE

I’m making their feelings move super duper fast! Oh ho ho is that jealousy |I feel coming out from Yun Ho? :DDDDD Okay so just to clarify, there will be only two couples in this entire fanfic. Yunjaeho and Yoosu. I’m very sorry Kimin fans but there will be none of that. I realized in my previous fanfic where I juggled 4 couples, that 4 couples was way too much for me to handle! So I’ll stick to 2 for the meantime. I’ll move on to more in the future:D
