TIM: Sweetie, be good and stop pulling a long face, ok?
FLORA: I hate you! You are bad egg, you bully Mummy and you bully Flora!
TIM: Flora…
FLORA: Gong gong (David) said you are an bad egg! And you took away Mummy! I don’t want you anymore! I want Mummy! (cries)
TIM: Please, please don’t be like that, sweetie!
FLORA: You always make Mummy cry, I hate you! Mummy said you don’t want us because I don’t resemble you! You don’t want me, I also don’t want you!
TIM: That’s not true, dear! I never said I don’t want you!
FLORA: But you never care about us! When Mummy is sick, Uncle Barry would come and cook for us; when Flora is sick, Uncle Barry would carry me to the hospital! I wished Uncle Barry to be my Daddy, but Mummy said no! Uncle Barry loves Flora and Mummy, but you don’t!
TIM: Of course I do!
FLORA: You don’t, you don’t! And you took away my lollipop!
TIM: It’s just the lollipop huh? (picking it from the table) Here, you can have it! Please don’t cry, sweetie!
FLORA: Go away, I don’t want you! (cries) I want Gong gong and Po po!
TIM: (helpless) Ok, ok…

[11 June 1999 – Sunday – Tin Ling’s residence]
LIK: (fetched a drink) How’s work at Lik Tin going on?
LING: This coming Saturday we’re going to sign the contract with the Taiwanese guys.
LIK: Yip Wing Tim going along?
LING: (take a sip) Uh huh. They’re asking me to help in the project recently.
LIK: You and that Ma Chi Keung?
LING: Yup!
LIK: How’s the proposal?
LING: Almost done!
LIK: Does Yip Wing Tim have a part in it?
LING: Well, the initial ideas were done according to Tim’s will before he had the accident, Keung and I are just following up some details!
LIK: Then that would be great! Even god is helping me, and made that Yip Wing Tim lose his memory! It shall be time for me to give an answer to Ah Gor!
LING: But Ah Keung is around, I can’t possibly steal the proposal like that!
LIK: (snickered) I never put that Ma Chi Keung in my eyes! I’m just worried that Yip Wing Tim may suddenly come back and check on the operations!
LING: I doubt it! Ever since he woke up from the coma, he seems to be a bit different!
LIK: Whatever it is, he is still the Yip Wing Tim who had caused Ah Gor’s death, and I swear to avenge Ah Gor!
Tin Ling looked at the man before her. In some way, the determination in his eyes seems to cloud the confidence and trust she imbued in him. She sighed inwardly and secretly hopes everything would just turn out fine.

[Same day – hospital]
KEUNG: Why are you sighing? Still fretting over little Flora?
TIM: (sighs) I don't know what to do! It’s all my fault, I can’t take care of her!
KEUNG: She’s just a little kid, will be alright after a few days!
TIM: I guess perhaps it’s better for her to live with Auntie!
KEUNG: Come on, Tim! If it wasn’t Helen’s will to have you take care of her, Fok Geng Leung would not even let you see her! You know how much he hates you! Cherish you chance, Tim!
TIM: I hope Flora would feel better soon…
KEUNG: You better pull yourself together, Tim! I am so afraid to see you out of here for the third time!
TIM: (forces a smile) I’m alright, it’s just your usual panicky character!
KEUNG: I think I know you long enough to tell between what’s true and what’s not, Tim!
TIM: (gave him a pat on the shoulder) Of course, my friend!
KEUNG: So, will you be handling the Taiwan deal with me?
TIM: Hmm… I guess Ling and you should be able to handle it, I’ll just show up on Saturday to handle that Mr. Chiang!
KEUNG: (sighs) Hope everything goes smoothly then!
TIM: Keung, you’re a big boy! Shouldn’t rely on me so much!
KEUNG: I’m just afraid I would ruin the deal!
TIM: Have confidence in yourself, please! Haven’t you been running the company well?
KEUNG: I’m just handling it while waiting for you, and stop teasing me!
TIM: (smiles) Ok, well. (looks around) Is Meina around?
KEUNG: What? Don’t tell me you miss her?
TIM: Of course not! Just glad to have someone less to bother me!
KEUNG: (laughs) Well, that’s quite true! She’s quite a pest, but she said something happened to her Dad today, so she can’t make it here!
TIM: What a relief! But frankly speaking, I just don’t want her to keep getting the wrong idea…
KEUNG: You won’t consider her? Well, she’s Ah Yan’s sister after all!
TIM: Ah Yan is Ah Yan, Meina is Meina, they’re after all so distinct individuals!
KEUNG: Do you still miss Ah Yan?
TIM: What I have for her is regrets and guilt, I’ve done so many wrongs. And even her death, it had something to do with me indirectly!
KEUNG: Then are you trying to remind me I killed Ah Biu?
TIM: Don’t be silly, Keung! Even if you had not given him the pill, he wouldn’t have survived falling from that height! Talking about finding the responsibility, who else can it be but me?!
KEUNG: I thought you changed, but you’re still so fond of pushing all the blame onto yourself!
TIM: I should shoulder responsibilities! Even to Meina, I should be nice to her, so that Ah Yan would rest well in heaven to know that she’s well taken care of!
KEUNG: Actually you can consider her. Although she’s a bit nosey, talkative, unruly, rough, but well, I see she’s quite concerned…
TIM: Keung… If you know me you should know how I think!
KEUNG: But that’s already…
There was a noise at the door…
KEUNG: (exclaimed) Meina! (went to the door) She was here, (picked up something on the floor) and her soup! (turned to look at Tim) Ooops! She must have heard what you said! Quick, go after her!
TIM: I don’t want her to get the wrong idea again!
KEUNG: But…
TIM: Keung, just do me a favor and check on her!
VOICE: Perhaps you should give her a chance, Tim!
