It was almost twelve when Tim left his house and rushed downstairs. The more he thought of it, the more flustered up he was getting. He looked left, then right… dozens of thoughts, nope; millions of thoughts penetrated his mind…
*FLASHBACKS*
MEINA: I have something to say, Sandy!
SANDY: (feeling a bit weird) Uh… Feel free to do so!
MEINA: About the proposal, perhaps you should take a lot at footnote 11, and compare it with the presented evidence, that should help!
SANDY: How did you know?
MEINA: Tim, I know where Flora is!
Chi Keung and Tim looked at each other with bewilderment…

SANDY: Fok’s holdings have withdrawn their charges against Tim as of yesterday!
MEINA: (rejoiced) That’s great!
KEUNG: Don’t be so happy, Meina! It can’t be that simple! How could he possibly just let Tim go like that? If he meant revenge?
MEINA: Perhaps he had thought over it and thinks it’s not worth it?
KEUNG: You’re so naïve!
MEINA: (argues) Why can’t you think of the positive aspect?
KEUNG: Because that Fok Geng Leung won’t be such a nice fellow, he…
MEINA: How could you be so…

MEINA: (looks at the clock) Yap, it’s so late already. Flora, are you done with your drawing?
FLORA: Yes…
MEINA: Then go to sleep ok? You shouldn’t stay up too late, it’s bad for you…
FLORA: (argues) It’s not late, it’s only 10.30 p.m. I still wanna watch cartoon!
MEINA: It’s not late for us, but it’s late for you! Come on, be good and listen to me…
FLORA: (rolls her eyes) Why must I listen to you? You’re not my Mummy!
MEINA: Didn’t Mummy say you must go to bed before 10? It’s past time already!
FLORA: How did you know?

FLORA: Daddy when will Mummy come to see us again?
TIM: Shhh… don’t talk nonsense!
KEUNG: Meina, what’s wrong? You’re crying!
MEINA: (wiping her tears) Nothing, but I just feel sad for Tim and Flora. The whole family should be together!

MEINA: Would there only be Helen in your heart in this lifetime?
TIM: What if I say yes?
MEINA: It’s not wise at all torturing yourself. She’ll know it if you just put her in your heart, and that’s good enough.
TIM: How do you know? You’re not her!
MEINA: Because… Because I feel with her!
*END OF FLASHBACKS*
The street was not very empty, but it was extremely cold as dubious gusts of wind blew their way opposite the direction Tim was heading. He stopped at the side of the road, and cast worried glances across, he was getting colder, but the coldness was nothing as compared to the bitterness of his heart. Then he clutches his head, and squats down by the railings.
TIM: Why?! Why are you still hiding from me? Why do you need to? Helen! It’s you! I know it now! I know it was you all along, back to the time when you told me about the discrepancy in the contract, and you found Ah Ling, I was wondering how could Meina be so brilliant out of the blue? But there was just something I couldn’t point out… something wrong but I couldn’t point it out, never had I expect it to be you behind the scene… (continues) It was you who told your Dad to let me off, wasn’t it? It was you who pasted all those little reminder notes for me and Flora, it was you who took that bullet for me, Meina wouldn’t do all these! (shedding tears) You were the little white pigeon flying to me when Meina was unconscious, I know… I know you hate to leave me, you hate to leave us… but why must you come back as Meina?
MEINA (HELEN): (standing a distance from him) I didn’t come back as her, I am in her body now…
TIM: (jumps up) Helen!
MEINA (HELEN): Don’t come any nearer!
TIM: (stays in his position) Why are you doing these? Why are doing these to hurt me?
MEINA (HELEN): Because I want you to accept Meina, after I’m gone…
TIM: (shakes his head) You’re lying, you won’t go, I know you won’t… I know you can’t bear to part with us…
MEINA (HELEN): There are certain things in this world, which you and I have no control over, Tim!
TIM: Your aim is not attained! I won’t accept Meina…
MEINA (HELEN): I see you are beginning to accept…
TIM: It’s because that was you! You were in her! And that was you, not her!
MEINA (HELEN): So long as you can start to accept ‘Meina’…
TIM: No! Helen, you would be able to stay in her body always, am I right?
MEINA (HELEN): No! What I am doing now is detrimental to her health, so I can’t possibly be so selfish to carry this on… Tim, I’m really going this time!
TIM: (went forward and hugs her) No! (hugs her tighter) I won’t let you go again. Never! Never ever again!
MEINA (HELEN): (pushes him away) Let go of me…
TIM: If you… if you love us, if you love Flora… if you love me, then don’t go… don’t abandon us…
MEINA (HELEN): Let go…
TIM: No! Even if you kill me, I won’t let go…
There was a sudden jerk in Meina as she suddenly passes out…
TIM: Helen! Helen! What happened? What…
After a few shakes, the latter slowly regains consciousness…
MEINA: (feeling her head) What… what happened? Where am I?
TIM: (shouting) Helen! Helen!
MEINA: What are you talking about, Tim?
Behind came a crying voice, as Meina looks towards the direction and Tim turns his head.
Little Flora was standing a distance away from them, but near enough to see them clearly. She dropped her plush toy and was crying with her hands rubbing her eyes. Tim rushed over, while Meina followed.
TIM: Flora, why are you here?
FLORA: (still crying) Liar! You said I won’t have a stepmother, you said you will only love Mummy!
TIM: I’m not, Flora! That was Mummy! (turns to Meina) Tell her, Helen, tell her who you are!
MEINA: (confused) What are you talking about, Tim?
TIM: Helen, don’t kid us!
MEINA: I really don't know what you’re talking about!
FLORA: (shouts) Liar! I don’t want to see you again!
Flora runs away, and Tim pursues her…
TIM: Flora… don’t run…
FLORA: (while running) I hate you hate you hate you!
Flora runs onto the road, while Tim speeds up to catch up with her, he almost got her, but the sight of an incoming vehicle shocked him…
