[5th day – night – Helen's and Barry’s apartment]
BARRY: (solemn look) I have something to tell you!
HELEN: (senses something wrong) Why this look on your face? What happened, Barry?
BARRY: (takes a deep breath and shakes his head) I am sorry!
HELEN: (looking into his eyes, then elsewhere) No! What… what is exactly the matter?
BARRY: I ran into Janet earlier…
HELEN: (uncertain) Your… ex-girlfriend?
BARRY: (nods) And I found out that I still love her. I’m sorry, Helen!
HELEN: (shaky emotions) What… what are you talking about? (forces) April’s fool is long over, Barry!
BARRY: I am serious!
HELEN: (sobbing) How... how can that be?
BARRY: (interrupts) No, listen to me…
HELEN: So our marriage can’t be compared to your love for her?
BARRY: I…
HELEN: (cries louder) Why? Why are you doing this to me?
BARRY: I’ve signed the divorce papers, they’ll be forwarded to you soon!
HELEN: (stared at him disappointedly) Why? Have you ever spared for my feelings?
BARRY: I’m sorry, I don’t want to be too unfair to you!
Helen landed herself heavily on the sofa, covering her head and crying loudly.
Barry stood aside without knowing what to do. His heart surely doesn’t feel any better than her now. It took him tons of courage to make such a decision, in pain! He walks out of the house in silence, dialing a number…
(half an hour later)
Helen was leaning her head against Sandy's shoulder, the latter trying her best to console her best friend.
SANDY: (stroking her back) Silly girl, don’t cry, it’s just not worth it!
HELEN: Sandy, tell me why? Why is this happening to me?
SANDY: (sighs) Now even Barry is like that. (announces) There are no more good men in this world!
HELEN: (chokingly) I… I just don’t understand how he could belittle our marriage to such an extent!
SANDY: When men had a change of heart, there’s no turning back!
HELEN: Sandy!
SANDY: Don’t think about it anymore, I’ll fetch you some warm milk, take a rest now!

[The next day – 6th day – 15 august 1994 – Monday – Park]
TIM: Why do you ask me here again? What is your point?
"TIM": You haven’t answered my question!
TIM: (stubbornly) I am not going to entertain all your stupid questions again! Don’t think I definitely have to depend on you to deal with Uncle Tam! (turn back, about to walk away)
"TIM": (stepped forward) Hey, hold it! (pleadingly) Please… I beg of you, please!
TIM: (turns to face him) Can you just go straight to the point?
"TIM": (stepping a few steps back) Can we move into the pavilion?
TIM: (adjusted his position) Ok, now what?
The masked man stood himself adjacently to Tim and removed his hat, glasses and mask. The latter stared at him in absolute disbelief, his mouth wide-opened.
TIM: (shocked) You… you… who are you exactly? Why do you…
"TIM": I am… I am Yip Wing Tim!
TIM: If you are Yip Wing Tim, then who am I?
"TIM": We’re the same and one person!
TIM: (laughs sardonically) Are you kidding me? I think you’re most probably just another human being who resembles me!
"TIM": How do you want me to prove it? Shall I narrate your life story to you?
TIM: (half-doubtingly) You are really me? But… but how can that be?
"TIM": I came from the year 1999! And I have only a week lifespan here, today is my 6th day!
TIM: Which means… you will be gone tomorrow?
"TIM": Exactly! That’s why I need your help!
TIM: Why should I believe you?
"TIM": I can tell you anything about you, past or future, that you desire to know! And that explains why I can help you to deal with Uncle Tam! He has a nephew in Shanghai, approach him and you’ll see results!
TIM: (shakes his head in disbelief) This is absurd! How can there be such a thing in the world?
"TIM": There are certain things in this vast universe, which human had tried countless times to unravel, but till now, spent his efforts in vain!
TIM: Then why are you here?
"TIM": I am here for… for…
TIM: For what?
"TIM": For Helen!
TIM: Helen? What has it got to do with her? Now you’re seriously confusing me!
"TIM": (sighs) I think I’ve got your answer!
TIM: (bewildered) What are you talking about?
"TIM": You don’t like Helen, do you?
TIM: She’s only a friend, nothing more!
"TIM": What are you thinking of? Ah Yan is long married!
TIM: (rebukes) And isn’t Helen too?
"TIM": She will get a divorce soon!
TIM: And what has it got to do with me?
"TIM": Everything! You’re the root of the problem!
TIM: I don’t see any problem with me! What nonsense are you spouting?
"TIM": I don’t want to argue with you! I just want to know if you can take care of her for me!
TIM: (laughs) What are you talking man? Me take care of her? (shakes his head in bewilderment) And for you?
"TIM": (seriously) Are you willing to?
TIM: She’s got Barry to take care of her, I don’t see the need to…
"TIM": I told you they’ll get a divorce because of you!
TIM: Don’t think you can crap your way through just by helping me a small favor!
"TIM": (angrily) Small favor? Fine! I don’t think I could entrust Helen in YOUR hand anyway!
TIM: (kept silence for a minute) I’m sorry, maybe my attitude was too bad.
"TIM": Forget it! (gasps in heavy disappointment) Maybe everything was just a wishful thinking on my part. I think too greatly of myself! I even thought I could win god!
TIM: Besides this, what can I help you with?
"TIM": Just promise me… if you really can’t accept her, don’t lead her on, it’ll do no good to either of you! And please please… don’t make use of her again!
TIM: I promise you!

PS: So is "Tim" exactly gonna give up and make his trip and sacrifice a pointless one? What is gonna happen on the last day of his stay? Stay Tuned! :) [Long time I nv say this already... :p]
