I adverted my face from the TV, which was playing a drama on Inkigayo, to the computer screen.
“Hey.” I smiled. It was Amanda.
“How are you? It’s new years.” Amanda said.
“I’m good. Yeah. I know. I was in a end of the year performance just a couple days ago. The group was allowed a three day break, then we’re back to promoting our album.” I answered.
“Why aren’t you home then?” asked Amanda.
“Well… Let’s see. If I was going to head home. I would be spending a day on the plane. And then I would be there only for an afternoon, and then I would have to get back on the plane again. So… my whole break would be on a plane.” I laughed.
“I’m excited. I get to see you tomorrow at school.” Amanda smiled.
“Yeah. I’m surprised the school found my email and yeah.” I laughed.
“How’s it going? Being a singer and all?” asked Amanda.
“Well… It’s good. Just really stressful and a lot of work. But it pays off. It makes me happy.” I smiled.
“I can tell. You’re always so happy. I saw your music video, Bubble gum. It’s so cute and funny and random!” Amanda laughed.
“Well. Yeah. It is random but like. Over here right now. It’s finals because the end of the school year is coming up. A lot kids are pushed hard. So… yeah.” I replied, “Sad!! Why did he do that!”
“Who do what?” asked Amanda.
“I’m watching a drama… And… the guy told his girlfriend that he never loved her in the first place! He was only using her for her body so he could get a lot of free things.” I answered.
“When are you going to come and visit?” asked Amanda.
“Umm… I don’t know…” I said.
“Well. I gotta go. I’m going to need sleep for tomorrow.” Amanda said.
“Good luck on your tests and finals Chingu ya.” I smiled.
“You and your korean.” Amanda waved and her window went black.

I still sitting on the couch, watching KMTV. I saw dbsk’s Mirotic being played.
I heard a ringing from my laptop as I saw it was the school trying to get a signal with me.
Hitting accept, I turned to face the webcam and waved when I saw the auditorium full of kids.
“Do you guys remember who this is?” I saw Mr. Benson, the principal talking.
The kids screamed no.
“It’s Stephanie Le. She moved to Korea just 4 years ago.” Mr. Benson explained.
“Hey guys. Long time no see. How are all of you?” I waved.
We chatted randomly until it got late for me.
“Hey guys. I would love to talk longer but I need to go to sleep. I’m tired.” I smiled.
“What time is it there?” asked Mr. Benson.
“It’s midnight.” I answered, “Bye.” shut off my laptop to fall asleep on the couch, watching tv.
