I made my way down to my house to see the family.
“Mom! Dad!! I’m home!” I opened the door to my small house.
I looked around and I didn’t see anyone. Where was my family?
I went over to the neighbor’s house down the road and asked if they knew where my family was.
“Oh. Haemin!! Congrats! We heard all about you debuting.” my neighbor said.
“Thanks. Do you happen to know where my family is?” I asked.
“Well. A year after you left, your mother got promoted and her section was transferred to America to live.” my neighbor explained.
“Oh… they never told me…” I said.
“They didn’t know how to contact you. I have their address.” my neighbor said.
“Alright. I’ll see if I can trade in my tickets for today to go back to Korea.” I said, taking out my phone and typing in my family’s new address.
“Would you like to stay for a little bit?” my neighbor asked.
“No. It’s ok. I guess I can go and spend some time with my friend back at the apartment.” I said.
I got back onto the bus, and headed to the airport. Lucky me, I could exchange my tickets with a person who was here on vacation. He happy to be able stay a couple more days while I was on my way back to Korea.

When my plane landed, I got suitcase, took the bus back to the apartment and scared the crap out of Stephanie who was on her laptop, talking to family.

“Why are you back so early?” asked Stephanie, making me something to eat.
“Found out my parents moved to America.” I answered as Stephanie placed a plate of food with vegetables and some chicken and rice infront of me.
“Ohhh. I see.” Stephanie sat down in front of me.
“Yeah… Why didn’t you leave to go and see your family?” I asked.
“Oh… If I went. I would be spending most of my time on the airplane.” Stephanie answered with a smile, “It’s ok. I was talking to my family before you came in. So yeah.”
