Chapter 43

042| Stephanie Home time.

Sorry the last one was boring…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stephanie’s POV.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After bidding Haemin and her family off, I headed onto the plane to Minneapolis.

It was going to be a three hour plane ride before I would see my family again…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The plane landed as I got my carry on and headed off.
I went pass the gates and looked around. I didn’t see them…
“Stephanie!” I heard my little sister, Tiffany, call.
I turned over to look at them.
I saw my Dad, sister, Mom.
I went over to hug all three, before noticing there was someone else behind mom.
“Eh?” I looked down at the cute little girl.
“Stephanie. This is your baby sister, Crystal.” Mom moved out of the way for me to see my little sister…
Wow… I missed a lot after leaving.
“We should get your stuff.” Dad said as we headed over to the luggage rack and pulled my stuff out.
The car ride home was quiet. No one made a sound at all. It was all tension in the air.
“Stephanie… Why did you leave without saying anything?” Mom broke the silence as we turned onto Interstate.
“I told dad. But I didn’t tell you cause I know you would tell me no like every time. By the way. Have you guys been receiving my money for Tiffany’s college fund?” I changed the subject.
“Yes. Thank you. You’re right, I would’ve said no. But… looking at you now… I’m so happy.” Mom cried.
“Mom… It’s… fine… Don’t cry.” I smiled.
Once we got home, I headed up stairs into the guest room, since they gave my room to my new baby sister.
I fell asleep instantly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up and looked at the clock in the room. It was 7:50 am.

I stretched and headed down stairs to make coffee.

I looked at the dirty dishes in the sink, shrugging and started to clean.

My family started coming down stairs.

“Stephanie! Today, we’re going to go out to eat with some friends. All of us.” Mom said.

“Wha? Already?” I asked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn’t long before we came to a Chinese restaurant called Royal Restaurant. There, we met up with Mom and Dad’s friends.
“Hello.” I bowed and smiled.
“Oh? Tammy, Who is she?” A lady with black hair tied back, wearing a blue Guess shirt asked.
“This is my oldest daughter. Stephanie. She’s been living in Korea for the last few years.” Mom said.
“Oh! How was Korea?” she asked me.
“It’s good. I’m on vacation.” I nodded and smiled.
“You’re from Korea?” the girl with brown hair with Blonde highlights, wearing an Ed hardy shirt asked me.
“Yeah. I was born here though. I live in Korea right now.” I smiled.
“Why do you live in Korea?” asked guy with black spiked hair.
“I’m a singer over there.” I answered.
“Ohh. I’m Jenny by the way.” The girl with brown hair said.
“Stephanie.” I smiled.
“Andy.” the guy said.
“So you’re a singer over there?” asked Jenny.
“Yeah. I sing in Japan too.” I nodded.
“Really? So can you speak Japanese?” asked Andy.
“Yeah.” I smiled.
“That’s cool!” he exclaimed.
The family laughed at Andy’s reaction as we all went to eat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Stephanie. Do you want to go to the park or do you want to go shopping?” Mom asked as we headed out of the restaurant.

“I think the park would be safer for me.” I laughed.

“Do you think you have fans here?” asked Jenny, as she was heading to her sport’s car with her boyfriend.

“Yeah. I perform in America once a year. It’s at the hollywood bowl in California.” I nodded.

“Andy. Angela. You two can go with them to the park.” said their dad, Kim.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once we got to the park, we just sat around, talking and playing.
I went over to the zipline they had and tried it out.
When I got to the other side, I rubbed my hands on my legs. They burn!
“Can you help me go up?” asked a little girl.
“Sure. Bar or String?” I asked.
“Bar! Can you push me too?” she asked.
“Hehe. Sure. Andy! Catch her!” I push her across
. So for the whole day, I ended up volunteering, helping kids on the zip line. Though I didn’t get any fun out of it, I swear I heard people giggling and cameras recording.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was probably the only fun thing I had going on the whole two weeks I was back.

My cousins were too busy to even go and see me.

Even my little cousins who came down to visit, didn’t come over cause my older cousin didn’t let them.

Oh well.

“Tiffany! Crystal!” I walked down stairs to the living room. “I brought extra clothes that I don’t wear anymore, You guys want them?”

They looked at each other and walked up stairs to the guest room as I opened my luggage.

“Yeah…. I have a lot of clothes and I don’t really wear all of them. Tiffany. What size are you?” I asked.

“Medium.” Tiffany answered.

“Oh…. Then… I don’t know if any of these will fit you… I’m a small…” I answered, throwing her one of my bigger shirts. “Try that. It’s my SM Town shirt.” I handed Crystal one of my shirts. “Try this.”
I ended up giving them about just a 4th of my clothing before heading down stairs to see that my cousins decide to visit me before I leave tomorrow.

“Oh… Hey…” I said slowly and headed into the kitchen to get something to eat.

“You come back and you don’t even visit us!” My cousin, Jessica exclaimed.

“… I don’t visit you? I told Thao that I was back and she said no and you guys couldn’t come over.” I didn’t turn around to look at them while grabbing a pack of Ramen noodles.

“Opp. I forgot.” Thao said, “Sorry.”

“… When are you leaving?” Jessica asked.

“Tomorrow.” I answered.

“I thought you were leaving next week.” Thao said.

“No. I leave this week, get home. And then I have another week vacation left.” I answered, making the ramen.

“Did you have a good time back?” asked Jessica.

“It was alright.” I put my bowl of ramen in the microwave and set it to three minutes.

“What do you mean it was alright? You had fun right?” asked Jessica.

“No. Probably the only fun thing I did was go to the Park the day after I came.” I answered, looking at them. “My other family was too busy to see me.”

“… I said sorry already!” Thao exclaimed.

I sighed and shook my head. “It’s fine. Jess. Don’t you have homework to do instead of seeing me.”

“… Yes but you’re only back until tomorrow.” Jessica answered.

“Better do your homework.” I took my ramen out.

I wasn’t in the best mood with my cousin at all.

“We sat your performance on CDTV countdown.” Thao said. “What were you guys wearing?”

“… We were on CDTV countdown a lot…” I answered, mixing in the powder for my ramen, “Which performance are you talking about.”

“The… one where you guys were wearing dresses.” answered Jessica.

“Lover Boy. It was just something.” I shrugged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had all my stuff packed up and put it into the back of mom’s van as I got into the back.
I stayed up all night. Two nights in a row actually. I couldn’t sleep.
“Stephanie. Have you slept at all?” asked Mom as we drove to the airport.
“No. I couldn’t sleep.” I answered.
It’s boring. I know. Heh.
