I nervously looked around as I excused myself and got my phone out.
I was about to turn it off when I saw that AeYun was calling so instead of ignoring it, I let my crush overcome me and answered it.
“Yabaseyo?!” I said cheerfully.
“AEYUN GOT HIT BY A CAR!!!”
[Start of Story]
“BWOH! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN, AEYUN GOT HIT BY A CAR!?! ARE YOU SHITTING ME!!?” Minhwan exclaimed as he stood up from his seat, causing it to fall back and tip over.
He furiously slammed his hand down on the table surprising everyone in the room.
“AEYUN GOT WHAT?!!!” Wonbin, Jaejin, Hongki and Jonghoon exclaimed doing the exact same thing as Minhwan.
“Minhwan, Wonbin, Jaejin, Hongki, Jonghoon! What’s all this commotion! Sit down!” Producer Choi exclaimed.
“I could hear you guys outside what’s all the commotion!!” Manager Kwon yelled as he barged into the room.
“You guys look troubled, what’s going on?” Miyoung Nunna asked.
Trickles of sweat ran down Minhwan’s forehead as his heart started to beat furiously.
“IS she okay! Where is she?! What hospital is she in?!!” he yelled into the phone, panicking.
“What’s going on here!” Producer Choi boomed alongside Manager Kwon.
“Oppa, what’s happening?” Miyoung asked as she looked over to Wonbin.
“Miyoung-ah, someone just called Minhwan and said AeYun got hit by a car.” Wonbin explained.
“Bwoh!! Minhwan where is she?!” Miyoung exclaimed as she turned to look at Minhwan.
“I’m gonna send her to Yonsei University Medical Center. Please Hurry! Call Eunmi and ChoonHee Unnies!” she said and then she hung up.
He quickly put his phone away and glanced his hyungs.
“Yonsei University Medical Center! Call the other Nunna’s!” he said as he bolted out the room.
“What are you boys doing come back here this instant!” Producer Choi exclaimed.
“Mianhe Producer Cho but our friend just got hit by a car.
You can chew our assess of later. Jae, call ChoonHee and Eunmi! Let’s go!!” Wonbin exclaimed as Jaejin got his phone out and used the speed dial button.
“Mianheyo Producer, but this girl’s very important to them.” Manager Kwon apologized then ran outside the room with Miyoung.
[Eunmi’s POV]
“Can I call her now?!” I asked ChoonHee as I paced around the living room for the 20th time.
“No! Just wait for a few more minutes! She’ll call.” She insisted as she popped a chocolate in her mouth.
*ring ring*
“See! Told ya!” ChoonHee grinned.
“It’s not AeYun, It’s Jaejin.” I muttered as I answered my phone and pressed it against my ear.
“Bwoh?” ChoonHee asked as she stood up and pressed her ear near my phone.
“Jae-”
“Nunna! Someone called Minhwan and said that AeYun got hit by a car!!” he exclaimed.
Our eyes widened in surprise as our heart started to beat faster and our faces turned pale.
“B-bwoh..”
“We blew off a meeting with our producer to go see her, she’s in Yonsei University Medical center, meet us there!” he yelled into the phone.
I pressed the end call button on my phone and followed ChoonHee as she rushed over to her bag and car keys and rapidly ran over to the elevator.
As soon as we got to the carpark we immediately started our car and headed for Yonsei University.
“I can’t believe this! This is just GAH!!” ChoonHee roared as she punched the car door and covered her face angrily.
“Hey, Hey! Don’t use the car door as your punching bag! Just pray that AeYun’s ok...that’s all we can really do..” I muttered as I stopped infront of the stoplight.
[At the Hospital]
“I can’t believe this ...It hasn’t been that long and she’s back here. And not in a good way.” Nurse Mei muttered as tears rolled down her face.
AeYun’s beaten, fragile body was lying on the blue sheeted bed.
Her eyes were shut tight and she was bruised all over.
He long, soft, flowing hair was spread all over her pillow, she had bandages on her arms, legs, head and on her stomach.
There were a couple of needles in her body and the air mask was placed on her face.
A tear rolled down my cheek as I felt a knife stab through my heart, breaking it into millions of pieces.
AeYun was like a daughter to me, I’ve raised her alongside her grandfather since she came here and it hurts me so much to see her like this.
She doesn’t even deserve this punishment, she’s much too innocent...but perhaps that’s the exact reason why she’s here...
I shook my head as I tried to rid myself of the painful thoughts that were infiltrating my brain.
I sighed heavily as I gloomily dropped my head and walked out the room.
Rina stood up from her seat as soon as she heard the door open and ran towards me.
“How is she Nurse Mei?” she asked.
“She’s...stable.” I replied.
“Nurse Mei! Nurse Mei!” I heard as a heavy and loud footstep roared throughout the hallway.
I whipped my head to the right as I saw those FT Island boys running for their lives.
“NURSE MEI! HOW IS SHE! CAN I SEE HER? PLEASE TELL ME SHE’S GOING TO BE ALRIGHT!” Minhwan started to panic as I saw tears threatening to spill from his eyes.
“Calm down Minhwan, Calm down.” I told him as he took a seat on one of the chairs that was attached to the wall and started bawling his eyes out.
[Author’s POV]
Jaejin and Jonghoon started comforting Minhwan as they tried to hold the tears in as well.
“She’s stable… But she’s been hurt very, very badly. The impact broke several of her bones, her organs have been damaged but it’s a miracle that they aren’t severely damaged. She hit her head pretty hard but she’s fine. We’re really surprised that she even survived. She’s probably going to be staying here for quite awhile.” Nurse Mei commented as she looked over towards the room AeYun was in.
Not long after Miyoung burst into tears. Wonbin wrapped his arms around his girlfriend and let her cry on his shoulder as he placed his head on hers, comfortingly.
Hongki bowed his head gloomily as tears fell down from her cheeks.
The area surrounding them was filled with sadness and sorrow as everyone’s eyes was filled with tears.
Rina frowned as she saw everyone’s sad faces and left with a depressed look plastered on her face. While walking down the stairs she bumps into ChoonHee and Eunmi.
“Oh, Rina!” ChoonHee exclaimed as her eyes widened in surprise.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“You’re the one who called the guys weren’t you?” Eunmi asked her.
“Y-yeah..I was there as well..at the crash…” she whispered to them.
“Can you take us to AeYun?” Eunmi asked as she tried to change the subject.
Rina looked up at them and nodded.
“Sure thing.” She replied as the three girls headed towards AeYun’s room.
As the girls reached the room everyone had stopped crying although they still looked pretty down.
ChoonHee sighed as she walked over to Hongki and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Ya, Gwenchana?” she asked.
Hongki gloomily looked at her and nodded his head.
“Gwenchanayo.” He muttered.
Jonghoon looked up from his seat and his eyes were immediately drawn to a beautiful girl with dark, curly, shoulder length hair.
She was wearing red skinny jeans and a white shirt with a rainbow on it. He just couldn’t help but stare at her.
All of a sudden a doctor walked up to them and gazed at every single one of them.
She was wearing a white coat like every other doctor, black, thick rimmed glasses and her hair was up in a bun.
A stethoscope was hanging off her neck and she had a clipboard in her hands.
“Ah, hello nurse Mei, how is she?” the doctor asked Nurse Mei.
“Oh, annyeoung doctor Ahn, she’s in a stable condition.” Replied Nurse Mei.
“That’s good to hear.” Doctor Ahn replied as she turned to the gang with a curious look.
“And you must be…her friends?” she asked.
“Neh.” Eunmi replied as the others were too sad to even move.
Doctor Ahn examined the gang and noticed how sad they were and made a suggestion.
“Would you guys like to see her?” she asked.
“C-chincha, w-we can?” Miyoung stuttered as she looked up from Wonbin’s arms.
Doctor Ahn smiled and nodded.
“Only two of you can go in at a time though. We can’t risk her waking up, she should get plenty of rest.” The doctor explained.
All of a sudden Manager Kwon came rushing towards them.
“You guys, better hurry, Producer Choi isn’t happy about you guys blowing him off.” He said in between breaths.
“Appa, just let us see AeYun! Jebal!” begged Miyoung.
“Ahh, Arasou! Bali! He’s really not happy.” Manager Kwon said as Wonbin and Miyoung entered the room.
“I have to go check on another patient, please be as silent as you can…and she’s gonna be alright, so don’t worry.” Doctor Ahn smiled as she walked off towards the elevator.
“I’ll stay here for awhile, which one of you guys are going next?” Nurse Mei asked.
“If it will be okay with all of you...I’d like to go next. As much as I want to stay here for AeYun, I really have to get back to the shop.” Rina said with a frown.
“I-I’ll go to.” Jonghoon stuttered as he received a small smile from Rina.
“Alright, and after them?” Nurse Mei asked.
Everyone became silent as no one said anything.
“I’ll go.” Jaejin stated.
Eunmi glanced at him and turned back to Nurse Mei.
“Then I guess I’m with him.” She replied.
“Me and Hongki will go next.” ChoonHee said as Hongki didn’t utter a word.
“Alright then, What about you Minhwan?” Nurse Mei asked.
Minhwan didn’t utter a word and continued on emotionlessly staring at the floor with red poofy eyes.
“Minhwan?” whispered Manager Kwon sadly.
‘This is the first time I’ve ever seen Minhwan this sad…the last time he got really upset was when I forgot to order chicken for his lunch…but this is an entirely different sadness. Maybe…she’s the real deal…” Manager Kwon thought.
“I wanna stay..” Minhwan muttered.
“Bwoh?”
