“AeYun-ssi, Don’t you harbour hatred for the boys and their fans since they’re the cause of you dear grandfather’s death?” one of the many reporters asked
The boys nervously glanced to AeYun as fear and worry overcame them.
“Aniyo...Me and my Halapoji are very religious people. We are very intact with our spiritual side...My halapoji knew how he was going to depart our world and even if he knew it was kind of unfair, he still accepted it. Halapoji always taught me to never harbour hatred, he always said that life was too precious and shouldn’t be wasted in things that are bound to occur.” She replied, ignoring all the flashing lights, murmurs and cameras around the room.
She paused for a few moments, earning a glance from ChoonHee and Eunmi.
“I am going to be honest with all of you...I am disappointed that my grandfather the way he did. I am frustrated that the fans who pushed my grandfather to the road didn’t even give a second thought about him...I am frustrated that they just shoved him aside like a piece of trash...But what’s done has been done. There’s always a positive side to something...A silver lining and I believe that meeting new friends like FT Island was the positive side on my grandfather’s death.” AeYun smiled to everyone, hiding the pain that she felt because of her lose.
The boys felt relieved after hearing her words, but still couldn’t shake the thought that she was still upset.
“What about you girls, what’s your say in this matter? Do you guys dislike FT Island for what happened?” a female journalist from KTV questioned.
ChoonHee moved a little bit closer to her microphone and answered.
“I admit I was frustrated about what happened, but now, I’m not. Halapoji’s death was an accident and FT Island or any of their fans didn’t mean to hurt him. The girls and I are friends with FT Island now and we don’t harbour any kind of resentment against them. Blaming them would be foolish since there is really no point in doing so.”
“FT Island is a bunch of nice, talented, and handsome young men. They wouldn’t hurt anyone and like ChoonHee and AeYun said. All of those were in the past and blaming people who didn’t mean to do wrong would be just a waste of time. We’ve really been trying our best to be moving on and FT Island has been helping us. We know Halapoji is in a much better place now, somewhere we know that he will always be happy, knowing that we’ve really got nothing more to say.” Eunmi replied.
“The boys nor their fans meant no harm. They’ve apologized and we’ve accepted it. And for all those people who resent them, you’re all judging very nice people. These people haven’t done anything wrong to you so why are you judging so quickly? If you dislike their music then keep it to yourself and don't take it out on them.” ChoonHee added.
“Boys how did you feel when you saw Ajusshi’s passing and when you met the girls?” a reporter from SBS asked.
“Devastated. Being a part of something so terrible left us speechless and mournful. When we met the girls they all ran towards Ajusshi...miserable and torn. It broke our hearts knowing we caused so much sorrow to someone. We apologized thousands of times to them, especially AeYun, but they just kept smiling and reassuring us that everything was an accident. They are really very special girls. We were very fortunate in meeting them...but the meeting was absolutely unfortunate.” Jonghun replied.
“Me and Hongki were actually prepared to receive punches from them. We came up to them and told them that if they were really angry they could punch us, we actually thought that ChoonHee was going too...but all she did was pinch our cheeks really hard.” Wonbin and Hongki frowned as they held their cheeks and shuddered at the memory.
Small smiles appeared on everyone's face as Wonbin and Hongki somewhat broke the tension in the room.
“This was actually true. We were very surprised when they did so, we were actually kind of touched.” Eunmi replied.
“Their cheeks are really soft.” ChoonHee grinned.
The audience chuckled.
“Minhwan-ssi, some sources told us that you went in and comforted AeYun-ssi. Is this true?” another reporter asked
Minhwan lightly blushed and nodded his head.
“When I went inside AeYun was still crying. When I approached her she looked at me with bloodshot eyes...I nervously approached her and started singing. A few minutes passed and we both fell asleep.” Minhwan answered.
“They actually woke up in the middle of the night and ate two whole tubs of ice cream!!” Jaejin exclaimed.
The audience laughed once more and bit by bit, the gloomy aura residing within the room vanished.
30 more minutes passed and finally the conference ended.
Jonghoon turned the TV off and placed the remote back down on the coffee table.
“We did pretty good didn’t we.” Jaejin pointed out.
“Yup, we sure did. FT Island’s name is successfully cleared.” Wonbin grinned.
“I’m so proud of you guys! Congratulations once again!” Miyoung squealed.
“Let’s celebrate with KFC!!” Minwhan grinned.
Eunmi and AeYun giggled at his adorable expression.
“I love KFC! Kah Ja!!” ChoonHee grinned.
“By the way~” She said in a singsong voice as she turned to face Hongki.
“You’re gonna treat us with the $50 you owe me!!” She grinned making a peace sign.
“OH AGAIN WITH THE $50!!” he whined.
The others laughed at him as Jonghoon ordered for delivery.
