Chapter 10
The truth revealed
Alex p.o.v:
I took the chair that was face to face with Andra and I kept looking at her. I saw my spy near her and I was pleased to see he’s still alive.
-So, sis, how are you? I asked.
-I’m fine, thanks!
-I bet.
-What’s that suppose to mean?
-You stole my money and my stuff by killing my people. It’s a little sordid of you, isn’t it?
-I really have no idea what you’re talking about.
-You stole 100 million dollars from me!!
-I did?
-Listen, Andra, I’m here to see where my money are, ok? I don’t want to fight, or to claim them back. I just want to see what you’ve done with them and to tell you you’re the most miserable person ever existed, because you promised you’ll kill my people only in battles, not while they were watching a transport.
-I didn’t do it!! She shouted. Who did this?? She asked while she was looking at her people.
-Uh… I did…
-Diana, you do realize that you put our name in a bad spotlight, right?
-Uh, I’m sorry…
-Sorry won’t solve anything, I said. You killed them in cold blood… not that you might have some feelings inside of you.
-And you do? She said.
-At least, we didn’t kill your people, Lexie defended me.
-You’re still silly, sis, Andra said. To come here just with a friend of yours and 3 men it’s risky, isn’t it?
-Yeah, sis, but I bet that if you want to kill me you would have done that a long time ago.
I saw her face becoming serious and she remembered what happened when we were little. She had tears in her eyes and she looked at me, while I couldn’t stand it and looked another way.
-Why? She asked.
-Because they tortured me! You never wanted to listen to my story, anyway, why are you doing this now?
-I don’t know… they did what?
-They tortured me! You never saw that because you went with them, but they beat me up and I had all my body full of bruises. Dad saw when he got home and he didn’t get angry, he understood me although he was sad because mom was dead and you were away.
-I didn’t know… wait, what did you say? I went with them?
-Yes, that’s what they told me!
-It’s not true; they took me by force! I never wanted to go with them; I wanted to stay with mom!!
My eyes were full of tears now and she could see it. She ordered her people to get out and I realized she wants to be alone with me, so I told them to wait me outside too.
-Are you sure? TOP asked.
-Yes, I am.
And now, here we are face to face, close enough to start a fight.
-I thought you didn’t go with them by your own will… but that’s what Lucas wanted me to believe…
-I… I didn’t know you were tortured…
-It’s ok now… it’s all in the past…
-It’s hard for me to say this but… I’m sorry.
-I know… you know what dad told me before leaving me there?
-No, what?
-That after years and years of hating, the love will win over all.
-If that would be so easy… you’re my sister, but even now when I know the truth I can’t let go that easy. The war will go on.
-I didn’t want you to cancel this war; I will fight for Lucas now and in the future.
-Just like I will for Victor.
-Yeah… so… this is it, huh?
-What do you mean?
-Our 10 minutes peace… is over, right?
-I guess… from now on, you will still be my enemy!
-And you’ll be mine!
I took her hand and smiled at her, while I got out from her office. It felt good to know that the truth is revealed now, but still… I want to be with my sister, to be together just like we were in our childhood: happy and without any worries.
