Chapter 30
Changmin’s betrayal
Changmin p.o.v:
I looked at Lexie who was still on the floor and I saw she was looking at me too, with her big eyes. I could tell she was in shock, just like Denisa and Junsu. I went to her and pretended to help her standing up.
-I’ll get you out of here, just trust me, please! I whispered in her ear.
-Don’t take any step further, Changmin!
I heard Junsu saying that and I turned to face him, with Lexie still in my arms.
-Excuse me? Who do you think you are to talk to me like that??
He looked at me with angry eyes but I was furious too, so he didn’t say anything.
-Shut the fuck up, Junsu, you’re just a piece of nothing here!
Suddenly, just as I expected, Denisa and Junsu wanted to attack me but I was faster and, even though Lexie was in my arms, I could ran downstairs fast. I left that place as fast as I could.
I wanted to take Kang In’s body too, but I couldn’t. Lexie would have died there… so I took her to Alex’s house. While TOP opened the door he wanted to attack me, but Lexie was awake.
-No… don’t… we have problems, TOP, and I need to talk to Alex now!
-With this guy??
-This guy saved my life, idiot, now let me in!!
-Ok, Miss…
He let us in and Lexie told me which door I should go in. Alex was at her new office, sitting on the chair and her eyes widened when he saw me carrying Lexie.
-What happened to you?? She said.
I could tell she was really scared for Lexie’s life. Then she looked at me and grabbed my neck lifting me from the gound.
-What the hell did you do to her?? She screamed.
-No, Alex, you misunderstood!! He saved my life…
She released me and I was gasping for air. I saw her returning to her chair, having a really angry face.
-What have you done, Lexie?
I helped Lexie sitting on a chair and she started to tell Alex everything. She was shocked; she didn’t expect Kang In to be dead and especially that he was the one who protected Lexie.
-What should we do now? Lexie asked.
-Oh, you’re asking me?? You should have thought at this before, Lexie!!
-I know… I am sorry!!
-What should we do with you? She asked looking at me.
-Alex… I know he’s a vampire but he saved my life. If he returns there, he’ll be killed.
-I know… but he can’t stay here!
-I could protect Lexie!
Alex started to laugh at this and when she stopped her face became serious again.
-No way!
-But, Alex… I… there’s no one that can protect me… besides, he’s a vampire, he won’t die immediately if other vampire bites him.
-That’s true… Still, I can’t trust him enough…
-I do!
I was surprised… she trusted me? But… I only saved her life… maybe she remembered I am not that bad.
-Ok, Lexie… Changmin, I want you to know that if you’ll betray us again I’ll kill you with my own hands, ok?
-Yes, Princess. If I betray you again, I swear I won’t run away and receive my punishment.
-Ok… you’ll take care of Lexie from now on and I mean it! If I find one scar on Lexie’s body, you’ll pay for it.
-Yes, your highness.
-Now, leave! Both of you…
We left her office and I took Lexie to her room, putting her to bed.
-You need to rest, I said.
I kissed her on the forehead and she smiled weakly at me, then she fell asleep…
