Alex’s plan
JaeJoong p.o.v:
I wanted to tell her that in the last month I spend every night with Alex, but maybe she will think I am a traitor and it’s not true. Alex never asked me anything about Andra and I never told her what plans she had.
-What is it?
-I… I can’t spy her. I mean, I won’t use the fact that I love her to go there and find out things about her plans.
-I knew you would say that. By the way, how’s Changmin?
-He’s fine, I guess…
She laughed a little, while she stood up from her chair and came closer to me.
-Don’t lie to me, JaeJoong; I know you were with Alex the other days…
At least she doesn’t know I was with her the whole month…
-Yes, I was…
-So, how is Changmin?
-He’s fine, he’s trusted now because he saved Lexie once again.
-How come?
-Some vampires attacked her 2 weeks ago and Alex thought at the beginning it was your men but I assured her it wasn’t us.

-Yeah, that’s what I thought too. What if he has a secret army build to kill them in the war if we don’t succeed?
-That may be possible… three days ago I felt a demon presence here and something attacked me, but Junki came and saved me. I think Lucas is doing the same thing as Victor…

She told me everything and then she said to go to Alex. I didn’t like the fact that she knew I was going to her, but what can I do? And no, it’s not like I’m betraying her, because she knows very well the fact that I am Andra’s servant. I got to her place and went straight to her room, without letting anyone see me. I saw her standing on the bed, reading some papers.

-Hey, she said. What happened?

I tried to be more suspicious and it seemed like she believed it.
-What’s going on, JJ?
I looked at her and thought that the plan might not work and she may find out what’s really going on.
-Uh… I need to tell you something…

-The war will… will start in 2 days…
-What??? No… this can’t be happening…
I saw her going to her office; she called TOP and asked him to call everyone. In 10 minutes, Lexie and Changmin came into her office, while Delia came with Yunho and Jiro. I was sitting next to Alex and TOP was at her left, looking at me like he would kill me every moment.
-Stop starring at JJ like that… it’s no longer a secret that I love him and now I trust him again, she said and I saw everyone looking somewhere else.
-Tell them, Alex…
-Tell us what? Lexie asked.
-The war will start in 2 days… we need to be prepared, still… I don’t want us to fight too much. If you can kill them it’s ok, if not run for your life…
I couldn’t believe what she just said. I thought she will fight, that she will want to kill Andra and everyone who’s fighting for her. But, as I hoped, she didn’t change. She still can’t hurt her sister…
-Are you crazy, Alex? Delia said. How can we not kill them?? I won’t be a coward and I will fight until I’ll die.
-I don’t need you if you’re dead.
-What do you mean? Lexie asked.
-I don’t want this war to be the end, but if it’ll be… if I die in this war, I want you to fight again to mix the races. That means you will have to fight against Lucas and Victor but that doesn’t matter anymore. With my death, Lucas won’t be able to fight back so one of them is gone.
-I won’t let you do that! I said.
-It’s not like you can stop me… I’ll do what I want and that’s it.
Damn, she was spilling the beans and I didn’t know how to tell this to Andra.
-Well now… go and train yourself and be ready for everything, ok?
-Yes, Alex.
I was with her and TOP in her office and for the first time, I agreed with him.
-You can’t do this, he said.
-I agree.
-Thanks, he replied.
-I will do it. If Andra will be in advantage, I won’t hold back and let her kill me. If that’s the only way to catch Lucas off guard, then it should be my way.
I shook my head and TOP was looking at her thinking about something. I knew he would try to save her no matter what, because he loved her. This was a huge difference, I would give my life for her too, but not in this war, since I am Andra’s servant.
-I don’t want to talk about this anymore, I have my plans and I will follow them.
She got up from the chair and went to her bedroom. I looked at TOP and he was really worried.
-Listen, I know you can’t stand me and trust me, I can’t stand you either. But Alex really needs to be protected and I won’t be able to do that so you need to make sure that Andra’s sword won’t hit Alex, ok?
-Don’t worry, I would’ve done it for sure, there’s no need to tell me what to do, he said.
I went to Alex’s bedroom and I saw her staying in bed; she had teary eyes and she didn’t want me to stay with her.
-Leave!
-No, I won’t… you know I’ll stay here…

-I don’t know, but you like this…
-Yeah, I do… listen, JJ… I… I might regret this but… let’s not see each other these 2 days, ok?

I sat next to her while I kept her really tight in my arms; she soon fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up at 6 pm and he was near me. I looked at him and he smiled, while I stood up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and went to my office, looking over and over at those stupid plans. I knew I had to kill her or she will kill me. Yet, I couldn’t. Maybe it would be better if I let her kill me… but…
-Stop thinking so much about this…
Junki entered in my office and he was looking at me like I was crazy.
-I can’t… tomorrow the war will start… we will be going as far as we can, but I don’t want to kill her…
-You know what the legend says, Andra… she died once and she can die one more time…
-What are you trying to tell me?
-Demons can die twice; if they are brought back to life then they continue to live. Maybe if you can kill her again, Lucas will loose his will to fight… and the only one who remains is Victor…
-Not if I die…
-You can’t! There’s no way I could bring you back.
-What if I don’t want to come back to life?
-Stop talking nonsense!!
He hugged me from behind and he kissed my cheek. He was really scared, because he knew that I will do this no matter what.
-Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.
