The skies are threatening as dark clouds gathered and rain was in the forecast.The cold winds blew as it swept Ella's hair.Ella gripped on the folders and paperwork that she was holding as she groped for her house keys in her pocket.She opened the door and put her papers on the computer table.
She needs work done tonight,if she wants to be free this weekend.She stretch her legs and arms as she sat on the sofa to relax.She flipped open the TV trying to catch up some news.
The winds hollered from the outside and the rain starts pouring.Ella got up and look at the window.It is a good thing she was home now,she thought.The rain came like a downpour from nature's wrath.Ella wondered if it is also raining on the other side of the world where he is.
Arron looked on and it is a beginning of new day.It's been a year,since he left home and soon he is coming back home.The sun is on his way up,it will be another hot days of summer.One more week of this and he is on his way back home.
He took a deep breathe.He wondered,how she is.The girl who played with his heart.It still hurt sometimes,they say first cut is the deepest and yes for sure,she broke his heart into pieces.She just took him for a ride,and he can never forgive her for that.
Ella look at the screen on her computer,but somehow,Arron's image just flashed on her mind.It has been a year,since she broke his heart,but one thing he never knew is that her heart was also broken.She have to do it.She does not want to be in a way.He is way too young to get stuck with her,and he still have a lot going for him.She can't be selfish,she have to let him go.
She met Arron in one of the party.He was the younger brother of her classmate Lisa who have a childish crush on her.He was cute and handsome as she joked around,saying he was cute and she'll marry him anytime of the day.Little that she know that he took the joke to heart and take is a truth.
At first she tolerated the phone calls,the visits,and the flowers.Later on she was waiting for his phone calls and was looking forward for his visit,till she have fallen for him big time.What started as a joke sure blew on her,for she have fallen deeply in love with him,to a guy who is 5 years her junior.
He was serious with the relationship,too serious that she started to have reservations.He talks of commitment and marriage and that scared Ella.He is way too young,he still have a lot going for him.She have to let him go,and she have to break his young heart,and have her own heart broken too.
It was a regular Monday rush as Ella ran for the elevator and off flew her folders and files as she bend down and picked it up and there was a guy on the elevator who was holding the door for her,and when their eyes met,it was Arron.His eyes sharp as he looked away from her and the door closes.No acknowledgement,like she never knew her before.Ella could only stare forward as she walked out when the elevator door opens.
Her heart was racing and she have a lot of questions.Why is he here?She thought he was somewhere in Europe,was it London,something far away land,not here,not in there building,not in this city.She stayed in her cubicle for the rest of the day,scared that she may bumped into him once again.
She saw him once again from a distance,she could feel his eyes following her.She looked away as she ran to her car and drove off.His presence is choking her.She could not understand why he was there.
The next day he was in the elevator again like he was waiting for her.This time he is wearing a suit with a tie.He looked much of a man,gone the little boy Arron,what stood now is a man who is very handsome and a very much picture of a gentleman,as she noted the looks that the female employees gave him.Ella can only look,he gave her a very smug look and smile,more to himself than to her.
Everyday for one week it seems his purpose is to torture her with his presence.She would see him in the morning and can feel her watching her when she go home.
She later learned that week that his Dad's company was just 2 floors above them,and he has been working for his Dad since he came back.She wondered what happened to his music,she thought he was given a scholarship and a training somewhere prestigious in Europe.She hoped he have not given it up.
One late evening,Ella have to stay late for she have deadlines to meet and she was not done till it was past seven,As she was walking to her car,she saw him standing on her way.
"Ella can I talk to you" Arron asked her."I just need to clarify something."
Ella just nod her head."What is it Arron?"Ella asked."It is quite late,I need to go home."
"You told me you are getting married,what happen to the wedding you told me?"Arron asked.
Ella was lost,she forgot that part of her lie.She groped for words,as she smiled,"We broke up,before the wedding,I caught him cheating on me," was her reply.
Arron just nod his head and smiled."You are a bad liar,Ella.You can't lie then and you can't lie now." as he left her.Ella was left to wonder what does it mean.She did not see him again after that.
A week after as she was opening her apartment door,there stood Arron looking at her.Ella was confused.
"What are you doing here?"Ella asked.
"Can I come in,I just want to talk to you."Arron said."You look nervous Ella,don't worry I won't bite and I will hide my claws." as he smiled.She have not seen his smiles for a long time,and how she loves his smiles.
"Sure,I am not afraid of you."Ella said as she let him in.He stood tall over him.She wants him to sit down but he remain standing,like checking out every detail of her apartment.
"You live here by yourself?"he asked.
"Since when did you become an investigator?"Ella asked."You want something to drink?"
"A soda will do."he said."Thank you."
"Why are you here Arron?" as she handed him the drink."I know you have better things to do,instead of being here."
"What made you think that you knew better what is good for me or not?"Arron said."Why don't you let me decide what I want out of my life."
Ella looked away.She can't be arguing with him.There is over now,long time gone.Both of them got hurt already,is not that enough.
"Arron,we have nothing to discuss now,what we have is over,it is all over now,just go and move on,I'll move on too,"as Ella cried."We have hurt each other enough,let us put an end to this."
"Put and end ,I wish I can do that Ella,just forget you and walked away.I have tried all this time to forget you but I can't,I just can't ,because I still love you very much."Arron said."You thought this is just a crush,a young love,but it is more to me than anything else,you are the only girl I ever love Ella.you are the only one." as he cried.
Ella can't hold it anymore as she hugged him and put her arms around him."Arron,Arron,I still love you too,but it is not fair for you."Ella said.
"But I will never be happy without you Ella,you are the only one that will make me happy,nobody else."Arron said.
"Oh Arron,I have been such a fool,I thought I am doing the right thing letting you go,but,I am so miserable without you.I love you too Arron."Ella said,as they hugged each other.

Finally I finished this,longer than I thought.I have the story and I am on the ending already when the computer deleted everything,plus I hit the submit button before it can be finished....I almost give up..
