She looked at the window,it was getting dark and the rain started puttering again as she waited for her parents to go home.She doodled his name on her notes and draw some flowers around it.She went back on her studies,when she heard the door open,and it means her parents are home now.
"Hebe,where are you?" her Mom asked."Come on help me out to prepare dinner."
"Yes Mom,I am coming." Hebe said.
"What time did you go home?" her Dad asked."Did you know that there is a big commotion right in the corner today?"
"No,I did not notice.Why what happened?" Hebe asked.
"I think,they got hold of the groups that sells drugs around here" her Dad said."Finally something has been done about that.Maybe this place will soon clean up their act.So you have to be careful Hebe,don't trust any stranger around this place."
"Yes,Dad."Hebe said."I know that now."
"Good,and don't let anybody in the house,if we are not home.You don't know people nowadays.I just don't know where is the world going to." he said.
"So,how is school?" her Mom asked."I hope you're grades are high enough so you can go to college."
"Mom I am only in sophomore now." Hebe said.
"Yes,but that's count." she said."I want you to study and then you can have a better job and so you can live to a better place,where it is safe and nice neighborhood."
Hebe rolled her eyes.They will start again,how it is hard to live nowadays,and then go to the foolishness of the young ones nowadays.It seems like a never ending sermons.
Finally,dinner was over as Hebe excused herself to go to her bedroom.She think of Jiro and remembered her Dad warning of trusting a total stranger.Somehow she found herself not listening to her Dad.Jiro is not like that,he is a good man,Hebe thought.She is sure about that,she can trust her life to him,she just have to trust her heart...
That morning,on the way to school,Hebe saw Jiro again.It looks like he was waiting for her.He smiled at the sight of her,and went to her.
"Hello Hebe,how are you?" Jiro said.
She smiled at him and felt her face colored.Just one look at him and it is enough to keep her mind in turmoil.
"Hello Jiro." Hebe said."Same thing ,nothing new.I haven't seen you lately?"
"Oh I have been busy with work lately." Jiro said."But I might be going someplace soon."
"Oh where?" Hebe was unable to take hold of herself.
"I will be gone for a while."Jiro said."Are you going to miss me?"as if teasing her.
Hebe did not answer,as she looked out at the road."Maybe,I will." Hebe finally said.
"Will you wait for me Hebe?" Jiro said."I'll wait for you to grow up,and you'll wait for me to come back?"
"What do you mean?" Hebe looked at him and stared.The emotions in her face was there as Jiro looked at her.he wants to take her in his arms right there and there,but he can't.
"Just wait for me,and I will explain to you later." Jiro said."Will you trust me Hebe and promise me that you are going to wait for me?"
Hebe nodded her head.She does not know but she trusted him.She felt the tears threatening to fall as she forced herself to smile."I will wait for you,Jiro" she finally said.
Jiro smiled at her as he put his finger on her chin and hold her hand."I am glad.I will miss you Hebe,but we will see each other again,that I promised you."" and with that he let go of her hand and left and Hebe can only looked at his disappearing figure as tears fell and then he was gone.Her first love and yes she is going to wait for him,even it will take her forever.She knows in her heart that she will come back for her...
