She turned and saw Chun sleeping at the far end of the bed,as if trying hard not to get near her and not to touch her.Is he just trying to keep the part of the bargain or he could not take to touch her? A nice hug or embrace from you husband will be so nice especially from Chun but then they are not really married in a true sense.She stared at his face and love the contour of his face and his eyes and his nose and his lips.She just love everything about him,that is why she is in this mess in the first place.To be near him and to be able to touch him once in a while,to receive his kisses even though it is just an act,and to feel his arms around her will be just enough rewards for her.
She got up and went to their private bathroom.She have to go to work soon.But she does not know how to get to work by herself.She have to depend on Chun for transportation,but he is still in bed.Ella smiled at the thought.Well Chun is the Boss,he can afford to be late but she is just a mere employees so she have to get to work early.Maybe she will just get a cab to work today until she figure out the way for a public transport around this area.
She showered and dressed up for office.She was surprised to see all of her things transferred out to the house that quick without moving a finger.I guess when you are rich,you always have a way....as she smiled at the thought.
Chun stirred and he was surprised to see Ella all dressed up .A frown came to his face as he stared at her.
"Where do you think you are going?" Chun asked.
"I am going to work.Today is Monday." Ella said in reminder.
"And who says you are working?" Chun said."I forgot to tell you that you don't have your job anymore.I spoke to your supervisor to get a replacement for you before we left for Vegas." as he turned to go back to sleep.
Ella's face reddened."What did you say Chun? I don't have my job anymore?" Ella asked.
"Just as I said.You are not working anymore.You don't expect to be working in the company after we get married ,are you?" Chun asked.
"Yes,I am.I want my old job back Chun.Why did you this without asking me?I love my job and I am quite good at what I do." Ella said,as she looked at Chun in disbelief.
"How can our marriage be believable if you are still working in the company? And even my parents will not agree of you working at all." Chun said.
Ella was so mad at Chun at hat moment.How dared him decide for her without asking her."And what will I do now,since you fired me from my job.I can't believe it my own husband firing me from my job." Ella said in a high pitched voice
"Just do anything that you like.Shop,travel or do anything." Chun answered nonchalantly.
"Chun,I am not like that.I thought you knew me.I love my job.How can you do this to me? I so hate you today." Ella said as she throws the pillow at Chun in anger.
Chun looked at her and was surprised at her anger.Most of the girls will be happy but not Ella.
"Ella,you have to understand.You are now married me,your job will not fit anymore as my wife.You are now a Wu and being a Wu you will realized that a responsibility is attached to it." Chun said in a serious tone."I am so sorry about this,but we have to do this." as he got up to go to the bathroom.Ella sat on the bed as tears rolled in her eyes in anger...
"Somehow Chun,as of today... I am regretting marrying you in the first place..." Ella said,as she tried to wiped her tears.
Chun looked at her and felt sorry for her.he could not stand the tears in her eyes.He have the urge to hold her in his arms and tell her that everything will be alright but he stayed rooted to where he is and then walked away from her....Somehow seeing her,hurt him more than he ever he can ever imagine....
As both of them went down for breakfast,both of them are quiet and not talking.Chun avoided Ella's eyes,for her eyes are accusing and with much anger and disappointment.But they knew thay have to act their part.
"Good morning .Did you have a good night Ella?" Mama Wu asked.And did you find all your things?"
Ella smiled."Yes Mama ,thank you." Ella answered.
"Ah,I forget to tell you last night,we have an appointment with my designer today.We have to look for a nice dress for the party.And we have to shop for more proper clothes for you." Mama said.
"But,I think I have enough clothes ,I bought quite a few while we are in the States." Ella answered."And I think I can find a fitting dress for the party."
Mama shook her head."No..no..no.That won't be enough.I want you to shine on the party.All the who's who in the business world will be there.And you are gonna be the belle of the party." Mama Wu said."With that figure of yours,I don't think we will have a hard time looking for some nice and decent clothes."
Ella blushed at the compliment as Chun looked at her and smiled.
"Ella wants to go back to work.She wants her old job back." Chun said.
"Uhmm why do want your old job back.You have a bigger role now as Chun's wife.You will be very busy and with all the charity work and social functions,you won't miss your old job." Mama Wu said.
"Ella,you should realized now that you are now a Wu,the wife of my son.You have a big job ahead of you.Your priority now is your husband.To support and make your husband happy is now your priority." Mr Wu said
Ella can only nod her head in agreement.She can feel her freedom running away from her.....not only because of a marriage but because she married a Wu and it is choking her....as Chun looked at her with a worried look...
