Ella was so quiet,that scared Chun.She seems to be submissive to whatever he is saying,and it did intrigued him.For Ella to be quiet,Chun knows that something is cooking in her mind,and he does not know whether to be happy or worried at the same time.
They finally reached their floor as he took his keys from his jacket,and still no protest from Ella,Chun likewise kept his mouth shut,too tired to fight with her ,just in case.
Chun opened the door to his apartment,as he let Ella in.
"May I present to you my place." Chun finally said."So what can you say?"
"Uhmm,quite nice,I may say.A true bachelor's pad." Ella said."Do you always bring your employed to your place?" as she looked around the place.She liked the high ceiling,the big space and the tiled floor.But the place looked cold and impersonal.
"What do you mean? You are the first one that I ever took on my apartment." Chun said.
"Not even your girlfriends?" Ella asked.She just have to know.
"No,not even my ex girlfriends." Chun said as he laughed."Because I just moved in here last week.So do you like it?"
"What is not to like,ours is nothing compared to this.Maybe our place is just the size of your bathroom.And everything is so nice,but somehow,I don't see you living in this kind of place." Ella said.
"What is it?Where do you think I am supposed to be living? with my parents in their mansion?" Chun asked.
"Maybe,but even if you are living on your own,this place is not you.This is so superficial,and you are more than this." Ella said.
Chun stared at her.How can she knew,what he have been feeling towards this place?He doesn't really fancy this place either,but his Father insisted,that if he is thinking of living by himself,then this is the place for him."Thanks for thinking of me with more depth." Chun said dryly "It is not really my idea either,but when I saw the kitchen and the view from my bedroom ,I thought,that I can still sort
of changed this place as my own in time."
Ella nodded her head."So you brought me here to hear my opinion about your place?" Ella asked.
"Yes,and more.I know that you are mad at me for taking off to Hongkong without even a word.I am sorry.I did not mean to do it that way.But it is business,and I don't have control on it." Chun said.
Ella blushed ,so he knew that I was mad at him,well,I told him so,didn't I.And still,it is so sweet of him to say sorry.She smiled at him.
"So am I forgiven?" Chun asked.
"Yes,I was just...clueless of your whereabouts ,after having dinner with you." Ella said."You don't even have to say anything,much less to say sorry to your employee."
"Ella,we are not in the office now.We are in my place and outside of the office,and you are my friend,where ever and know that I consider you as my colleague,not my employee."Chun said."And there is nothing wrong in saying sorry,to whoever,as long as you meant it."
Ella looked at her,and her heart in a lurched,and yet she can't help herself if she fall for him deep and big time.Her affection and admiration for him is growing every minute,the more she spend more time with him.
"And yes,I brought you here,to have dinner with me.I don't have time today.I usually love to cook something,especially if I have company.I used to do that in college but today we have to settle for a catered food,I ordered.Maybe next time,I will be able to cook for you." Chun said.
"You can cook?" Ella asked."Where do you find the time for it?"
"I love to eat,I think food have this calming effect on me,and cooking also sort of relax me,so I found myself cooking,when I am thinking." Chun said."So can you cook too?"
"Of course,I can." Ella said.Somehow,she can't admit to this man that she can't cook,even if her own life depended on it.It will be too embarrassing to admit to him that she is no good in the kitchen.
"Good,it will be a pity,if a girl cannot cook.It will be such a pity for her man,if a girl cannot cook.I still believe that the easiest and the best way to man's heart is through his stomach." Chun said.Ella can just swallowed what she just have said."I hope one day I can taste your cooking."
Ella smiled."Sure,one of this days,I will cook for you."
"I will be looking forward for it.I am sure it will be great." Chun said.
"That's what they said." Ella said.
"Come on let us eat,I ask Maria to have the food ready for us,before she left for the day." Chun said.
"And who is Maria?" Ella asked.
"Oh she is my house keeper.She does not stay during the night though.She have been with me since I was a kid.She is my second Mom,and she is the best there is." Chun said as his eyes glowed at the thought of the elderly lady who took care of him like her own.
Ella can just stared at him.Chun is more than the handsome,heir and the son of the great businessman Lou Wu,but a man with more depth and character,than she can ever imagine.And yes the girl who will ever hold his heart will be the luckiest girl in the world....if only she can be that girl.....
