I avoided Seung Hyun the rest of the time we spent in the tores. He made it easy because he said nothing since the arcade. Everyone noticed the tension between us. We used to argue and insult each other every chance we got but now we made sure there was at least 3 people between us and won't even look at each other.
The drive home was just as awkward as it was at the stores. We gladly jumped out of the car and headed towards the front door with the other car already there before us.
I opened the door and was surprised that there were such few people this time. I knew umma was going to throw a surprise party but tis one was small. And formal wear. She bought me a dress, I just know it. I sighed.
I plastered on a smile and walked and greeted everyone and got to umma as fast as I could with the rest of my car group following behind me.
"Umma, this is such a surprise." I smiled.
"I know! Now go change, you all have a change of clothes in the rooms, the others have already started." She herded us up the stairs.
We found Yun Shin unni trying to zip up her dress on her own so Kyo Na unni hurried to help her.
I cringed at the sight of my dress. It had 2 layers. The inner layer was a nude colored satin and the outer layer was a beautiful black lace. It was pretty and all but it was a very long gown. I reluctantly changed into the dress and quickly did my hair into a messy bun.
I turned to look at how they looked and gaped.
"Why do you guys get the more normal dresses?" I asked staring at Yun Shin unni in her black bubble dress and Kyo Na unni in her lavender spaghetti strap knee length loose dress.
"It's your birthday, and you must hand it to your mom to knowing just how dress you. You body looks GREAT! I mean, look at your curves!" Kyo Na unni said looking at me.
"Oh shut up and help me get these little clips into my hair." I handed them a small box that held jeweled tiny clips to decorate the bun. I put on a little lip gloss, pale pink eyeshadow for eyeliner and I was good to go. Yun shin unni did a side braid and Kyo Na unni clipped part of her hair back in one of my clips.
We were done and hurried out the room. I took a deep breath and went to my happy place before taking my first step. I don't get why but everyone was watching us step down the stairs.
Ji Yong intercepted Yun Shin unni and guided her away from us and just admired her. Aw! How cute! Kyo Na went over to visit with some people and I was greeted first by appa who was glowing with pride when he saw me.
"My beautiful little angel. You're stunning." He said and kissed my forehead.
"Thank you appa." I beamed.
"Now go run along, lots of people to greet." He shooed me off with his eyes getting misty. I quickly walked away knowing he didn't want me to see him cry.
I walked over Young Bae oppa. "You look nifty." I commented.
He and his friends wore similar outfits, but then again, what guys wear at formal events are always rather similar. Oppa, Ji Yong, and Seung Ri all wore black pants. Daesung and Seung Hyun wore white pants. I tried really hard not to laugh at Daesung. He looked like he was going to a disco. His shirt was sky blue and paired with white pants gave it a disco look. Seung Ri had black and white pin striped shirt and oppa had a simple white dress shirt. Ji Yong wore a basic black dress shirt. Seung Hyun was wearing a light tan dress shirt.
He was just standing there looking into the fire. He was thinking. Maybe about what I'd said or maybe how uncomfortable his outfit was. I don't know.
"You look beautiful." Young Bae oppa said hugging me carefully to not mess up my hair.
"I always do." I stuck out my tongue jokingly.
A few people came up to me tell me happy birthday and congratulate me for the full scholarship to Harvard.
"Present time!" Umma practically dragged me to the table full of gifts. Were there even that many people here?
So I spent half an hour going through all of the presents. about 6 of the gifts were cards with a lot of money in them. The rest were just really expensive items. I'm talking Fendi
bag Givenchy bag, Manolo Blanik suede boots, and jewelry expensive.
We greeted everyone as they left. I plopped down exhausted from the fake smile and all their staring.
"I'm too tired to go home. I'm just gonna sleep on your couch." Kyo Na unni yawned.
"Me too." Yun Shin unni said laying down with Kyo Na unni.
"Tell your parents and change out of the dresses." Umma directed.
I changed into a baggy white cotton t shirt and plain blue pajama pants and laid in my bed trying to sleep.
I heard weird rustling outside my window that scared me. Must be the wind or stray animal.
That was until I heard someone trying to climb the stairs to my balcony from outside. I sat up and strained to see if I really was hearing that. Yes I was. I'm gonna get killed!!!

I had to rewrite this twice because I accidentally clicked the backwards button and lost all my work...twice. When I was half way, and almost done. I really thought I wasn't going to post but I felt like it. It's 3am right now XDDDDDDDD
