Tavia stares straight at the ocean while standing on the balcony on this cold dark night.
“What are you thinking?” Raymond comes up behind her and pulls her into his arms.
“I… Raymond, I don’t know what to do?”
“Shhh…” He kisses her gently on the lips to silent her. “I know but this is still our honeymoon. I don’t want us to be upset…”
Tavia nods and smile. “Did I tell you how much I love you?”
“The minute we arrived.” Raymond kisses her again. “Do you remember our first honeymoon?”
“Yes.” She lays back into Raymond’s embrace. “We were not able to afford it until the second year of our marriage but it was so sweet.”
Raymond sighs softly. “It was one of the best time of my life… but do you know which is my favorite?”
Tavia shakes her head in curiosity.
Raymond chuckles and tucks her hair behind her ear. “The first time I saw you.”
Tavia looks into his eyes and she remembers.
“The first time I saw you, you were sitting under the tree in our campus…” He looks dreamily into her eyes. “And I know.”
Tavia slowly turn around and hug him. “Me, too.”
They stay within each other’s arms as they enjoy the other’s presence. Recalling the earlier years of their lives when they met and fell deeply in love, Raymond and Tavia understands that their love will never perish. Yet, their own actions had led them into a serious dilemma involving two innocents with no easy solution.

“I’m disappointed in you, Rick. This should have never happened.”
“I understand. The man who hurt your daughter is taken care of.”
“You better! That man almost rape my daughter! You should have watch your men.”
“I’m sorry. He didn’t realize the girl that we kidnap is your daughter, sir, but there is no excuse.”
Damien calms down. “Where is the money now?”
“It is safely put away.”
Damien nods. If he isn’t in such a financial crisis, he wouldn’t use kidnapping his daughter as a facade to get money from his own company without suspicion. However, everything works out for the best. He got the money and Linda is fine.
“How could you?!”
Damien spins around at the voice.
“How could you, Daddy?” Linda runs up to him and starts hitting him. “I’m your daughter. Why would you kidnapped me?! Your man almost rape me!”
“Linda! Linda! Listen! I have no choice. I need the money but I can’t just take it. The police will find out. They are keeping a close watch on me. It is the only way. I’m sorry.”
Linda steps away in tears. “No… How could you?” She is whispering now. “You never really love me, do you? I’m just a tool to you…I hate you!”
She runs away with tears in her eyes. Yet, she have no where to go.
Raymond…
She must find Raymond.
(*o*)
“Excuse me?”
Ron looks up at the pale woman in front of him. “How may I help you, Miss?”
“I…I’m looking for Raymond Lam…” Her voice is so low and weak that he can barely hear her.
“Are you okay, Miss?” Ron asks in concern.
“I…I just need to see Raymond.” Ron can see tears in her eyes.
“Please hold on a minute.” Ron starts placing a call. While he is talking, he watches the woman taking a seat with her head on her knees. “Okay… Thank you.”
“Miss…” Ron approaches her and kneel down. “I’m sorry but Raymond is not in today.”
“But… he should be back.”
“Yes, his secretary said he is at home. He is not coming in today.”
She grabs his arm. “Please… I really need to talk to him. Do you have his address?”
Ron looks confused. “Miss, are you his girlfriend?”
Linda nods. “Please…”
Ron is surprise that Raymond’s girlfriend didn’t know his address. Yet, seeing her in this condition, Ron knows Raymond would want to see her and this is an emergency.
“Miss… I’m not allow to give you that information but…let me make a phone call…”
Ron knows this is not right but… he takes out his phone and call Bosco.
Hanging up, Ron walks back to where Linda is sitting.
“Here…I hope this helps.”
“Thank you…” Linda said softly and takes the paper. She starts to get up when she feels the world spin around her. Ron quickly catch her.
“Miss, I think you need to go to the hospital.” Ron holds her gently.
“No…Raymond…I need to see Raymond.”
“But…” Ron thinks she should go to the hospital. Her face looks so pale.
“Please…”
Ron nods. “In that case, I will come with you, since I'm going off duty, but if you faint, I will sent you to the hospital immediately.”
Linda nods weakly and smiles.

“Are you tired, honey?” Raymond pulls Tavia down onto the sofa with him. He starts massaging her shoulders.
“Mmm… That feels good.” Tavia closes her eyes and relax on Raymond’s shoulder.
“This will feel much better…” He starts nibbling on her ear and unbuttoning her blouse.
Tavia smiles happily and turn around. She starts kissing him and pulls off his sweater when…
The doorbell ring.
Tavia giggles at the interruption.
“Ignore it.” Raymond mumbles and pull her back into his arms.
“Raymond!” Tavia laughs. “Go open the door!”
“Fine.” Raymond gets up. “Brat!” He slaps her bottom and run to the door.
Tavia laughs and starts unpacking. “How are we going to fit this all into my closet?”
“Tavia…”
“This is all your fault. I told you we should not shop that much but… no… you have to force me to…”
“Tavia…”
Because of Raymond’s tone, Tavia turns to look at him. His expression looks so…
“Raymond?”
Raymond sighs. “Linda… and…Ron is outside.”
Tavia looks at him in disbelief. She runs toward the door and looks at the peephole.
There stands Linda…and Ron.
Tavia looks up at Raymond with the same sad expression.
The time has come.
They stare at each other and they both know in their heart that they can’t hide anymore.
It’s time.
They slowly turn the doorknob…

(-o-) So...OMG, what is going to happen next?! I guess we will all have to wait for chapter 10...the ending is closing on us...feel the excitement? Maybe it's just me...Anyways, thanks for all your comments...

mango - Wow...you really want Ron and Linda to hook up, don't you...LoL. I think they look compatible enough... well for my new story, it is going to be WAY longer than this one with the casts: Raymond, Myolie, Tavia, Ron, Linda, Steven, Bernice, Moses, Bosco, Selena, and Kenneth. I know...I know...it is going to be really long...I'm loving the plot right now...so I think I am going to post it after this is done. Thanks!
