Chapter 28

“To stay is to remain in the planets. To leave is to enter the New World or also known as the Great Void.” Michelle tried her best to explain.

“We have fulfilled our destinies. We have healed the planets. We have had revenge on the Elders. We have brought balance back to the Universe. Everything is in order now. However, we have to decide to stay or to leave.” Leila Tong Ling continued.

“Then, I will stay, with Michelle.” Raymond stated his choice. He could not bear to leave Michelle.

“I will leave, with Leila.” Ron said determinedly.

“Leila Tong Ling.” Leila Tong Ling gave a small smile. The twins were now in one body but the memories they had were not lost. Leila Tong Ling, or Leila, was still in love with Ron.

In a blink of an eye, the four of them were given their choices.

Michelle laughed at Raymond. They were the new King and Queen of the Black Moon and also Dark Oracles.

Black Moon was still happy and beautiful ever since it was changed by the four of them then.

Dark Oracles had transformed tremendously, though.

Firstly, it was no longer dark but bright. Sunlight had finally found its way back onto the planet. Plants were growing with the trees were green with leaves, flowers with colourful petals blooming and the rich brown earth shining upon the light shone on it. The dark walls of the huge solid place, which they had unpleasant encounters in, had been coloured brightly now, in yellow.

The Sea for the Forgotten reverted back to its original beauty, with clear glistening water. Its name was changed too, to its original name of Sea of Forgiveness. That was where people would go to when they felt burdened with their mistakes. They would sprinkle themselves with the magical water there and regained courage to admit their mistakes and to apologise to those who were hurt.

Raymond and Michelle were enjoying themselves, but at the same time, they missed their companions, Ron and Leila, who were in the New World.

“I wonder how they are doing now,” Michelle stared at the clear and refreshing sky, with Raymond hugging her tightly.

“I am sure they are fine. They will be in love, like us.” Raymond naughtily kissed Michelle on her lips.

“Father! Mother!” a young boy came running towards Raymond and Michelle.

“Oh! Keith!” the King and Queen quickly recovered their composure and hugged their son.

“Grandmother Tavia wants to see us!” Keith replied, with a great smile on his face.

The family of three grinned at one another; ready to return to Ice for a visit.

In the New World, there were no such things as magical powers, hence, it was also known as the Great Void (Vacuum of magical powers). Instead, rigid rules were fixed and were to be adhered to. There were four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter. People got sick but they took medicine instead of seeking magical powers for the healing. Everyday, some people would die and new lives were created. Lives were routines, though, surprises did befall on people. There were no more black holes for transport, but rather buses and cars. There was day and night. During the day, people worked. During the night, people rested.

Ron hugged his wife, Leila Tong Ling.

Looking at the people hurriedly running for shelter because of rain, Ron could not help it but smile. “Aren’t you glad to be in my arms now than to be outside?”

“Right, I am feeling blissful now. Are you happy with my answer?” Leila playfully nudged Ron with her elbow.

“It is such a relief to be here. No need to face scary black holes which will suddenly swallow you up, crazy red stone which will burn you alive, ice thorns to attack you. ..” Ron laughed as he recalled the past.

“You miss them, don’t you? We should try to visit them sometimes.” Leila concluded.

“We will, after we can get your hyperactive daughter to settle down for once and making sure she will not sprout any nonsense after we returned from visiting them.” Ron sighed. There was no doubt that he missed Raymond and Michelle.

“You mean our daughter, right?” Leila stared hard at him.

“Yes!” Ron quickly replied.

“Daddy! Mummy! Let’s go out! It has stopped raining! It is so boring at home!” a high-pitched voice rang out, disrupting the peaceful ambience.

“Right,” Ron and Leila sighed in unison and then broke out in laughter.

“Joan! Let’s go!” Ron and Leila called out to their daughter as they prepared themselves to go out for a little trip around the city.
