He strolled in casually even as his senses remained alert. It was one against at least a dozen. Did Kuma need to utilize that many people? He knew he would not gain being the offensive side, he knew he could not allow Kuma to feel threatened or he would be at the losing end. But still, all that people... He knew Kame had a reputation of being the best fighter around, did Kuma expect to see Kame? Even though Yamapi had not seen Kuma before, he could recognize Kuma almost immediately. There he was, sitting on a chair as if watching a show. When Kuma saw Yamapi walk in, he rose from his chair.
"Where is Kame?" Kuma asked.
"He won't be coming," Yamapi answered simply. Until he knew what Kuma was up to, the best policy was not to let Kuma know what he was thinking. And that would mean not telling too much.
"And why is that so?" Kuma asked again.
"There was no need to," Yamapi answered again, avoiding a proper reason.
"Does he not care what would happen to his little wife?" Kuma questioned. Even though Kuma tried to make it sound casual, Yamapi knew that was the crux of it all. He had been right when saying the Kuma had only wanted to test Kame.
"That would not be his concern since Maki was chosen by my father. Hence he would not be responsible for anything that would happen to her." Yamapi gave the answer Kuma wanted to hear.
"What happens to her is none of my concern either, I have more important matters to see to," Kuma stood up to leave.
His subordinates followed him out of the warehouse, the last person to leave approached Yamapi. "She's on the 2nd floor."
After the last person exited the warehouse, Yamapi rushed up the 2nd floor. He looked at his watch again. It was 5 minutes to midnight. He found Maki unconscious in a corner of the warehouse.
He rushed up to her and held her in his arms. "Maki!" he called, shaking her softly. He looked behind and saw the timebomb slowly counting down. There was about 4 minutes left. The warehouse was enclosed, there was no way to throw the bomb out. The only chance he had was to get both him and Maki out in time. He got Maki on this back and ran as fast as he could out of the warehouse. He did not know how great the explosion would be, but he knew he had to get as far from the warehouse as possible.
As he was a few metres from the warehouse, the explosion occured. The impact threw Yamapi off balance as he fell to the ground. Maki fell next to him. Yamapi breathed hard from the running. He looked back as he found the warehouse engulfed in flames. He looked to his side and found Maki by his side. From the light of the fire flames, he could see Maki was bleeding from her head. His heart cringed in pain as he saw blood slowly dripping down her face.
There was no time to lose, he had to get her to the hospital immediately.

Kame paced up and down his room, glancing over to the phone every now and then. He did not know why he was so anxious, was it only because he did not want to drag anyone down or was it because he truly cared.
Just then, the phone rang. Kame picked it up almost immediately, his face turned pale at the news.
