"I’ll pretend I didn’t hear what you just said." Tetsu replied coolly.
"What do you mean?"
"It’s obvious, she’s your sister-in-law. Even if she left, both of you still can’t be together."
"What’s wrong, why can’t I be with her."
Tetsu sighed, "Because that is the price you have to pay as the head of this organization."
For the first time, Pi saw humanly emotions on Tetsu’s face. It was one of regret and remorse.
Tetsu raised his hands and waved Pi away, "I’ll talk to you again in future."

"I need your help," Kame said into the phone, "Find the person who called this number 6 years ago…"

Yamapi slammed his fist on the table. He was frustrated with his situation. Why was he doing all this when he was not going to get Maki in return? He stormed out of the room just to see Maki exiting hers too. He hastened his pace until he reached Maki; without saying a word, he dragged her along behind him

Maki was shocked at Pi’s gesture. They ran out of the house, headed for an unknown destination. Finally they stopped at playground. Pi never let go of her hands. "Let’s leave together," he said.
"Eh?"
"You said you hated this household right?" Pi turned around to face Maki, "I hate it too. So let’s leave together?" Pi said in a almost pleading tone.
Maki looked at him ,staying silent for a long time. Finally she said simply, "I can’t."
"Why?" Pi implored.
"My mom needs me. She’s the reason I came here in the first place, I can’t desert her like that," Reality came crashing down on Pi. He finally recalled the reason why he was doing what he did. They can never be free unless Tetsu frees them of his own accord. His grip on Maki’s hands loosen as he felt defeated, once again. It was becoming a very frequent feeling now.
"What's wrong?" Maki asked. "You’re really acting weird. Why are you working for Tetsu, you hate it don’t you?"
"Nothing… nothing…" Pi said mindlessly as he walked off, leaving a befuddled Maki behind. What did it matter anyway, whether she knew or not. It wasn’t going to change anything. She was still going to be his sister-in-law, or perhaps ex-sister-in-law in future.
