He finds himself thinking of all those times he spent with Maki, especially after she opened up the lock in his heart. They had definitely gotten closer, but he always thought he only ever treated her as a close friend, or perhaps a sister. Someone he could confide in. Did that mean that he liked her?
Kame brushed those thoughts away carelessly, how was it possible that he will fall in love again. He swore he would not let anyone in after Erika sacrificed her life for him. That was when he felt guilty towards Erika, because he had opened up to Maki. But Maki was different, she was Erika’s best friend when she was alive. It was only logical for him to open to her only. She was the link between him and Erika.
Darn it, he’s really thinking too much and it’s all that Yui girl’s fault. She is such a troublemaker. He sat back in front of his computer trying to focus on the presentation he was working on before she came and started saying all those ridiculous things to confuse him. He stares at the screen before him, fingers placed neatly on his keyboard, but nothing was flowing from his fingers. The screen remained just as it was. It was so difficult to concentrate.

He hears the twisting of the doorknob, and looks up. Maki walks into the room with a light smile on her lips. "Hey, you’re back," Kame greeted.
Maki jumped a little, surprised that Kame was still awake. "Yea… What are you doing up so late..." she looks at the clock which reads 3a.m now, "I mean early in the morning" she corrected.
"I'm rushing for a presentation," Kame explains.
"Ohh…" Maki nodded knowingly. "Presentations are such hassles." She commented from experience, "Well, don't stay up too late though." She walks past him to the wardrobe where she took out her nightwear and towel, preparing to take a nice, warm shower.
When she closes the cupboard, she was shocked to find Kame standing behind the cupboard door. "You scared me!" she chided, putting her hands above her heart as if to calm it down a little. That’s when he noticed the small red mark on her collarbones. A voice rang in the back of Kame's mind, "That must be his doing." An uncomfortable sensation gripped his heart at that thought.
"Are you okay?" Maki asked in concern when she noticed his pale face.
"Yea..." he lied. "I've just got butterflies in my stomach for tomorrow's presentation."
Maki chuckled. Of all people, that was the last thing she expected to come out of Kame's mouth. He who had the ability to lead a whole gang, who could fight against a dozen strong and well-built man without so much of a blink of an eye, was nervous of a presentation before a group of old man?
She places her hand on Kame's head and says, "I'll give you the power to sail through your presentation tomorrow. Feel better now?"
"Much... Thanks," Kame smiles weakly back.
"You're welcome. And now I shall go take my shower. Do catch some sleep, it is important for a great presentation," she patted his back then walked past him towards the bathroom.
He looked at her enter the bathroom then closing the door behind her. The weird sensation he felt when he saw that red mark had not fade away. "Damn," he cursed under his breath. It must be the lack of sleep and the late nights he had for the past few days that's making him think of weird thoughts and having nervous attacks. Yui couldn't be right, could she?

Pi enters his bedroom and groped around for the switch. When the light were turned on, he realized there was a presence in the room. There lying on his bed was a small figure, a woman.
He sighs in annoyance, could anyone get more irritated? "Yui, get off my bed now," he commanded.
Yui stirs and drops her legs onto the floor, then pushing herself up, stands in full view for him. She was dressed in a skimpy nightgown, kept up only by two thin spaghetti strips. The thin material clung on to the curves of her body, ending barely below where her thighs started. The low cut of the nightgown provided a complete view of her luscious breast that was pressing against the translucent cloth.
She smiled sweetly at Yamapi and glided over to where he was. "Pi-chan" she purrs. Hooking her arms around his and pressing herself closer to him, testing his man instincts. But he tore her away from him callously. He had his fair share of such seductive scenes back at the time when he was still a delinquent, before he met Maki and changed. Yui had lost her smile, how much did she have to do to have him even look at her properly?
"What do you want with me," Pi's voice was cold and hard. He was not about to give her any sort of feelings that might lead her on. Not an ounce of his love, not even a tinge of pity.
Fine if that was how he wanted to talk, then have it his way. "I was just wondering how it feels like to send your loved one right into the arms of another man." Indeed, at the door he almost didn't want to part with Maki, especially when he knew Kame was at the other side. His jaws harden at Yui's casual comment. But he knows he should not be affected because Yui was just trying to antagonize him and he will never allow himself to fall into her trap.
"If you're just going to ask me stupid questions, then get out now. I'm not in the mood to answer them now." his voice did not betray what he felt inside and this angered Yui to see that he was not even responding to her taunts.
She forced a smile and approached Yamapi slowly, "Maki is so lucky."
Okay, so what was she up to now. This girl does send a chill down his spine.
"She must be rejoicing now, to have two man so infatuated with her, having them believe that she's only in love with one of them," she moves closer to Pi and leans forward in a hugging position with her lips close to his ear and in a small voice finishes what she intended to say, "I bet she's already given her virginity to Kame."
Pi brings down his hand onto her cheeks, giving her a tight slap that made her fall to the ground. Then he grabs her arm and pulls her roughly along, shoving her out into the corridor and slams the door in her face. This was the first time he ever hit a woman, but he was not feeling guilty about it. No one should ever talk about Maki in that way.
She
