Kame looked up at Yui. The red marks on her face did not escape his notice despite the layers of makeup she had put on in an attempt to hide it. It definitely was not there when he saw her last night.
Yui picked up her glass of milk and took a sip before setting it back on the table. She glanced up at Kame and said, "so have you thought it through?"
Kame diverted his gaze towards his plate and began eating his breakfast, ignoring Yui's question. After finishing his breakfast, he took his briefcase and started for the exit. Before leaving he spoke, "I don't know what you are planning to do, but if you dare hurt maki in any way, I'll make sure you don't get off the hook."
Yui stopped cutting her sausage. She looked up and smiled calmly, "We'll see."
Kame exited the dining hall and made his way towards the main entrance. He stopped at the bottom of the staircase as he saw Maki coming down the stairs.
"Ohayou!" Maki greeted cheerfully.
Kame smiled and returned the greeting, "Ohayou."
"I found this on the table, do you need it?" Maki hands a file of paper over to Kame.
Kame takes a look at it and realizes it was the notes he had prepared for the presentation, "Gosh thanks!" he takes over the file gratefully.
"Still nervous?" Maki asked, cocking her head to one side with a teasing smile playing upon her lips.
Kame gave a small laugh, "Maybe." He takes a look at his watch and realizes there is not much time to waste. "Got to run."
"Wait!" Maki stops him. "Your tie is crooked," Maki reaches out her hand to adjust his tie. "First impression counts for alot," Maki smiled encouragingly. "Iterashai!"
"Itekimas," Kame smiles and turned away.
After Kame walks out of the door, Maki turns and heads for the dining hall.
"Ohayou," Yui greeted, she was leaning against the door frame.
"Ohayou," Maki greets back, she looks at Yui guiltily.
"What a loving scene early in the morning," Yui chirped. "I'm really envious of the both of you. I can't wait for the day I can share a lovely morning with Yamapi as well."
"Yui... about yesterday," Maki started, feeling the thorns in Yui's words.
"Ah... I haven't thank you yet, for accompanying me to the bridal store." Yui gave the most sincere smile she could muster.
"Aren't you angry?"
"For?"
"For leaving without a word."
Yui shakes her head and walks over to Maki, "There's nothing to be angry about, it's not like you're doing something behind my back right?" She wraps both her hands around Maki and pulls her into a tight embrace. "I trust you, because we're friends."
Maki had not felt this bad before. There was no doubt, she was feeling guilty for her relationship with Pi. She had betrayed Yui's trust for her. Her body trembled slightly at the thought and Yui felt it.
Yui looked up at the figure standing at the top of the stairway, her lips twisting into a smile of victory.
Yamapi looked coldly down at Yui.
