Chapter 19

A Lion And The Lamb

Takeo and Tyler sat quietly next to each other on one of the benches in the locker rooms at work. It had been a long day and when they saw that the showers at work were empty they took quick action. All the hot water at their place had been turned off or the heater was broken. They both couldn’t be sure and they were too lazy to find out. Tyler let out a sigh as she let her head bang back against one of the lockers, a smile coming to her face. In two days their first single would be hitting airwaves and she was beyond excited, but also extremely exhausted. She really didn’t even have the urge to celebrate.

“Two days and our single will be out,” Takeo said as she rubbed the rest of the moisture out of her hair. She tossed the white towel into a close bin and then tugged at the front of her black shirt. Tyler looked over at her friend, her blue eyes tired.

“You nervous?” She asked.

“About what?”

“That no one will like it,” Tyler finished and Takeo just let out a laugh before letting her head drop back against a locker.

“Nope, I have faith in us,” Takeo responded, making a smile find its way to Tyler’s face. The sound of a door opening caught both of their attention. They sat up quickly in alarm, but quickly relaxed. They had nothing to worry about, they were dressed after all. Four figures appeared one after the other, their shirts being peeled from their sweaty chests.

Sho

Kame

Hiro

Miura

Takeo was having a hard time drawing her eyes away from him, his naked chest exposed like it was. Sweat was glistening off of his body, his muscles defined and his black gym shorts low on his hips only seemed to make it worse for her. It was almost too much of a temptation for her to handle. She wanted to go up to him and rip them right off his body. No she couldn’t think that way about him. Miura was her arch-nemeses and she was supposed to be a guy for crying out loud. Takeo tried to avert her eyes only to come into contact with Hiro, who wasn’t shabby either. She looked away from him, but only came into contact with Miura’s naked back, his really nice naked back. Man, she was going to be in trouble if she didn’t get out of there quick.

Tyler wasn’t fairing any better than her friend, her blue eyes were fixated on Kame as he grabbed things out of his locker. He had his shirt thrown over his shoulder and his dark hair was stuck to the sides of his neck. What she wouldn’t give just to rake her nails against Kame’s naked back, oh so gently. Tyler shook her head and looked away, just to see a very muscular and defined torso right in front of her, bronze and so… manly. A soft chuckle filled the air and she looked up to see Sho’s red eyes staring down at her with an amused look on his face.

“You better hurry and get out of here,” He said softly. She didn’t say anything at first as her eyes began to go back to his chest. “Hey, up here.”

“Sorry,” Tyler said as she stood quickly, hoping she wasn’t blushing. She hadn’t realized that her wingman was as built as he was. What a pleasant surprise.

“What the hell are you looking at Takeo?” Miura said, cutting off Sho. He was looking over his shoulder at Takeo who quickly looked away. She cleared her throat and a smirk crept onto her face.

“I didn’t realize that you were such a scrawny little shrimp,” Takeo said, her smile becoming bigger as Miura frowned.

“You think your better kid?”

“I know I am Ojisan.” Miura was quiet for a moment. He wanted to plow Takeo right into the ground.

“Well let’s see then. Show all of us what a big boy you are,” Miura said, egging her on. Takeo fumed in her spot before she was shoved roughly for the door by Tyler.

“Some other time okay,” Tyler said quickly.

“Running away again, huh kid!” Miura yelled with a laugh.

“Don’t forget to check for grey hairs on your balls when you take a shower Ojisan!” Takeo yelled out before the door shut behind Tyler. Miura stood there shaking with anger. He was going to get Takeo, that was for sure and it was going to be soon. The kid had it coming.

“Grey hairs huh?” Kame asked as Sho and Hiro tried to hold back their laughter.

“Shut up,” Miura said coldly as she slammed his locker door shut. Oh yeah, Takeo had it coming.

Yuuki walked down the long hallway quietly, her gaze fixated on the ground. She couldn’t get those words he had muttered in her ear out of her head.

“Don’t worry I don’t bite,” Miyavi had told her. Just thinking about it sent shivers down her spine and in a good way. Yuuki could still remember what it felt like to have his warm breath caress the side of her face and neck. She had been so nervous at having to pose with him and after his words she was afraid that she just might collapse. Footsteps could be heard in front of her and she looked up, her brown eyes coming in contact with a figure that she was becoming all too familiar with. But one would never hear her complain about having to see him every day.

“So how did the shoot go?” Hiroki asked as he stopped right in her path, his hands shoved into the pockets of his light jeans.

“It was okay,” Yuuki said quietly.

“Miyavi didn’t scare you did he?”

“No,” Yuuki replied.

“That’s good. Oh, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out for some drinks later. Me and some of the other guys are going and I wanted to ask you. You know we could pick up some chicks or something.”

Yuuki didn’t want to go out to pick up chicks. She was one for crying out loud and she certainly wasn’t into them.

“Sure,” She said trying to sound interested, but not too excited. Guys were supposed to be nonchalant, right? Yuuki didn’t say anything more as she walked away from him and down the hall. She wasn’t sure what to do next, but she was sure that Jude could give her good, rational advice.

Hiroki was quiet for a moment, covering his yawn with one of his large hands before he looked over his shoulder. He knew his band mate was standing back there somewhere, but Hiroki decided that he would let him speak first.

“You know don’t you?” Miyavi said as he stepped out into view. Hiroki smiled, Miyavi was so predictable.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Yes you do. You never act like you are with Yuuki unless you want to get in their pants. How long have you known that she was a girl?” Miyavi asked his voice slightly angry. Hiroki let out a short laugh before she sighed and turned to face his band mate.

“Since the first day, it’s completely obvious,” Hiroki said receiving a hard look from Miyavi. Miyavi didn’t have to say a damn thing for Hiroki to know exactly what Miyavi was thinking. He was worried and suspicious of his intentions. “I guess I’ll be seeing you too tonight then, am I right?”

“Damn straight,” Miyavi said before he turned and left. Hiroki knowing was bad and all the attention he was giving Yuuki was even worse. He just knew it would end badly if Hiroki got his hands on her. It always ended badly with him and with the current situation it would end worse than it had ever before.

Keito frowned as she looked down at the cards lying before her on the coffee table. The Lovers card was there staring up at her, mocking her. Why the hell did that card keep coming up? She had never had that card show up when she did her own before. Her mismatched eyes looked up from the cards and across the room. He was standing with his back to her, fiddling with something in attempt to ignore her. He was still slightly afraid of her and she didn’t have to read is aura to know it. It was all in how tense his shoulders had become. Keito had to admit that he was trying, even if it was a little. He didn’t turn tail and run when he saw her in the break room like he would have before the photo shoot.

Now Aiba on the other hand was ignoring her all together. He hadn’t talked to her since that night at the bar when he kissed her out back. In fact he had adopted the turn tail and run technique and he was really the last person she wanted doing that to her. She should have known that this would happen. Keito could remember how he had ignored her after she read his palm on the bus ride to Osaka and the kiss in the ally was way worse. Aiba thought he had kissed a guy for crying out loud and she had no idea how to make it right. She heard shuffling and looked over again, watching Shun sit down in an empty plush, black leather chair. He had a small mug in his hand and his black hair was hanging limply by the sides of his face.

“What’s wrong?” He asked her suddenly and his voice surprised her. She never thought that Oguri Shun would actually talk to her of his own free will. He looked up from his mug when she failed to answer, his dark eyes piercing.

“Nothing,” Keito replied. Shun let out a small huff before he took a sip of his coffee.

“You’ve been holding the same card in your hand for the last five minutes. Of all the times I have seen you playing with your voodoo cards I have never seen you hold one that long.”

“I thought you were afraid of me?”

“Just because you make me nervous doesn’t mean I don’t see.” Keito stared at him as he went to ignoring her again, his dark gaze back on his coffee. What the hell was going on? Why was he being so . . . nice?

“I don’t know if it’s a good idea. Do you remember the last time I went out drinking with you? I landed flat on my face,” Jude said to the boy walking quickly beside her. He let out a small grown before he let his hands fall harshly to his sides. He had been bugging her to go to the bar with him and some of the other guys all day. Jude really didn’t get it. Why did Jin want her to go so bad anyway? She knew that he didn’t need a friend to tag along for his game to work better; it was solid as it was. The guy was a chick magnet and Jude had to admit that it bothered her a little, but there was nothing she could do about it and she was painfully aware of the fact.

“Just don’t drink so much this time. Come on Jude,” Jin pleaded. He knew it looked bad, him pleading like he was for another guy to go to the bar with him, but he couldn’t help it. He wanted to spend more time with the singer and it was the only reason Jin could think of that sounded the least gay. Jude stopped and looked up at him, her orange eyes studying him. Could he be up to something? Her spidey senses weren’t tingling, but something did seem odd about him practically begging her to go with him. What was the guys deal? Didn’t he know that another guy didn’t beg another guy to go to the bar.

Jin suddenly felt uncomfortable under the orange gaze and turned away, starting to walk again. There was no way that he was going to admit that Jude was having some weird affect on him, making him think strange and unusual things. Jin had never been so confused over his feelings in his entire life and then suddenly some white, pint-sized singer comes along and confuses everything. Jude was Jin’s own personal storm and he was quickly getting lost at sea. The sound of footsteps caught both of their attention and when Jin turned to look; his brown eyes came in contact with the small drummer, who always seemed more feminine than anyone else that worked at the damn place, including some of the female staff. If anyone was gay he was sure it was Yuuki. The way he caught Yuuki looking at Hiroki a couple of times was not the way guys were supposed to look at each other. Did he look at Jude that way?

“What’s up Yuuki?” Jude asked as the drummer came to a stop in front of her.

“You have to come with me tonight,” Yuuki replied quietly, but Jin could still hear.

“Where?”

“To the bar. Hiroki invited me to hang and have some drinks with him and his friends… please.” It was that pleading look in Yuuki’s dark eyes that got Jude to cave. She could never say no to that dammed look. She let out a huff and Yuuki tried desperately to hide her excitement. Jin laughed and Jude looked over her shoulder at him.

“What’s so funny?”

“So I guess you are going to meet me at the bar tonight because I’m one of those friends,” Jin said and it only made her groan. She wasn’t sure she could see girls hanging all over him again. It was almost too much to bear.
