“Were Madam Butterfly and thank you for listening,” The singer said into the microphone, her raspy voice barely heard over the rioting crowd. She gave the crowd one more wave before she followed the rest of the band off the back of the stage. He waited patiently at the bar, hoping that they would come and mingle before they left and Yamashita was not disappointed.
The first one that came out was the bass player. Her long hair was dyed a bright red, her dark brown eyes surrounded by lots of black eyeliner. The Primus shirt that she was wearing was big on her small frame and so were her black pants. She gave someone a smile and punched another as he passed her, smiling as she did it. He could only assume that she had known him.
The drummer came out next, pulling at the hem of her blue and red plaid skirt. Her black and red hair was pulled into a high pony tail and her brown eyes shined with left over adrenaline. She hastily made her way over to a booth in a secluded part of the bar and sat down quickly. One of her small hands scratched at her brow as she let out a sigh.
The guitar player bounded through the crowd her black hair flying wildly around her. She was smiling widely as she meshed with the crowd of people, her bright blue eyes shining with happiness. He could hear her laugh at something over the music and he felt himself smile. She was one of the two white girls in the band and she could play the shit out of the guitar, not to mention that she was all over the stage as they played.
A girl floated out from the back and slowly made her way to the bar. Her black hair cascaded around her shoulders and his eyes grew wide when she came closer. The girl had one dark brown eye and the left one was white, a look that was creepy and intriguing all at the same time. When she got to the bar she waved one of her hands and a beer was placed in front of her almost instantly. The girl seemed to have some gravitational pull towards her and he couldn’t stop watching her. She expertly drank her beer, her lip piercing not even clinking against the glass of the bottle. Yamashita was convinced that the rhythm guitarist was the most fascinating girl out of the whole bunch.
Then he heard it, that raspy voice that captivated him the minute she sang the first word of their set. She was talking to the bartender, laughing slightly at something he had said. Her orange and green hair was barely passed her ears, white bangs hanging in her face. Her purple suspenders were no longer on her shoulders, but hanging limply at her sides. She was sitting on one of the stools her feet hitting the stools legs almost in a childlike way. He had been told by her step brother that her name was Marie.
“Excuse me,” Yamashita said as he walked up to her, setting his beer down next to hers. She looked up at him, her orange contact eyes full of curiosity.
“Yes,” She said simply.
“My name’s Yamashita and I’m with Griffin Records.”
“Did Ruki put you up to this? I swear he’s always messing with me,” Marie said with a small snort.
“He was the one that told me to come and see you guys.”
“And did you like what you saw?”
“Very much, I want to sign you guys right away,” Yamashita said hastily. Marie’s brow rose skeptically as she looked at him. He was sure she knew about Griffin Records rules about girls, everyone did.
“Griffin Records doesn’t sign girls,” She replied. Yamashita smiled as he thought of his plan. He just knew it would work. There was no better place to disguise a bunch of girls as guys than in the visual kei world. It would work perfectly.
“See I have a proposition for you,” Yamashita said, getting Marie’s undivided attention. Oh yes, he was positive that his plan would work.
