He was working silently, placing items in the shelfes, when he noticed a customer coming in. Satomi was standing close to the entrance, so she was the one who offered her help. He heard him ask for milk and she led him the way to the right shelf.
Of course Ryo didn't pay that much attention to it, since it was normal that a customer asks for something and the worker leds him away, but when Satomi didn't return for a long time and he heard glass break, Ryo got worried.
He abandoned his work and went to the shelf the two of them had gone to earlier.
„...killed him! How can you expect i would forget it that easily? We never got to know each other, that's true, but i knew your father and he was a great man. He helped me when i was in trouble and got me a job! How could you kill him? I always wanted to take revenge for that, but i was never able to find you. Now i saw your name tag and i know you're the culprit!“ the male voice said and Ryo got closer to them, so that he could see them properly.
Satomi was unable to move, since the man pressed her against the shelf. A broken milk bottle was on the ground.
The man bend down and picked up a shard of the broken bottle and held it agains Satomi's neck. „Now is the time for revenge!“ he said.
„Stop it!“ Ryo yelled without thinking and ran towards them. The man was surprised by the sudden appearance of Ryo and turned to him, removing the shard from her neck. Her eyes were still widened in fear.
The man came to his senses and tried to hurt Ryo with the glass, but he only managed to leave a scratch on Ryo's hand, before Ryo was able to disarm him by kicking against his hand.

Breathing heavily he picked up another shard and pointed it at the man.
„Come here, Satomi“ he said and nodded his head to the side.
Satomi took a deep breath and obeyed behind him, going behind him without looking him in the eye.
„Call the police“ he said to her and she just nodded and went away, still shaking slightly.
The eyes of the culprit widened and he panicked. He decided to flee and Ryo, who didn't have the courage to actually injure someone willingly, failed to catch him in time.
He ran out of the Konbini and was nowhere to be seen within a couple of seconds.
Ryo, against better judgement, decided to run after him. But after a short time he lost sight of him again. He was forced to stop looking for him some time later, because of the speed of his heart pumping against his chest.
He leaned against a wall and closed his eyes, taking deep breaths and trying to calm his heart down. It worked, but a stinging pain was left.
He returned to the Konbini and found Satomi sitting at the counter.
„Did you call the police?“ Ryo asked sitting down next to her.
This time she shook her head still without bothering to look at him.
„why not?“ Ryo asked surprised.
She stayed silent for a while and Ryo didn't expect her to answer anymore at all, when she finally opened her mouth.
„I … don't want to talk about it again. I'm glad that it's finally over. That i don't have to see the police anymore!“ Satomi said, getting louder with every word she said. Her head went up and their eyes met. Ryo was shocked when he saw her crying.
„I'm sick of the police, they wouldn't listen to me or believe me anyway!“
„What are you talking about'?“ Ryo said weakly. He still hadn't improved his skill of handling crying girls.
„It would be like last time! They wouldn't believe what i have to say.“ she just answered, deep heatred and pain hidden in her eyes.
„What happened?“ he decided to aks after a short silence.
Satomi bit her lip, it seemed like she was pondering whether to tell him or not.
„Since i was a small kid, i always had the deepest respect of my father. I loved him and he loved me. But when i got older it changed. His affection towards me changed as well and i started to hate him. I hated him for what he did to me!“ Satomi said.
„What did he-“ he wanted to ask, but suddenly he realized what her father must have done to her himself.
„His affection changed? He abused you?“ he asked and looked at her with a shocked expression.
Satomi nodded and looked away from him.
„It happened first when i was 16. He did it several time after that as well and i endured it a year, but later, when he tried it again...i wasn't aware of what i did. I just took out a knife and cornerd him on the balcony and then I … stabbed him. The woman who lived next door saw it all. I woke up from my trance when the police arrived.“ Satomi explained. „It would be just like last time. They didn't believe my father would do something like that! They didn't take me seriously.“
The tears were flowing freely now, he could see it since her jeans was getting wetter and wetter. Ryo looked at her with gentle eyes.
„Its over“ he said quietly and gave her a tissue.
„No one will do things like that anymore.“ he said and laid a hand on her shoulder, making her look up at his gentle eyes.
„You were the first one who didn't judge me by the rumours“ she said quietly. „I'm really grateful for that“
Ryo just smiled at her, not knowing what to say.
„You know, someone i know always says: don't dwell on the past and live the present to it's fullest“ he said. „You should do just that. Forget about your painful past and go back to living. Start a new life“
With that he stood up and went to the staff room, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

In my next story i'll definetely stick to one main plot and won't add those small things like in this story (eg: Satomis past, Yui and Haruma, Yamapis photoshoots + realtionship with Masami etc xD) its a bit confusing and hard to write.
