Beautiful Lies

Chapter 6

Like promised Yuta was waiting for her at the entrance after she had changed in her normal clothes. He wore normale clothes as well and she had to admit, they looked even better on him than his doctor uniform.
„There you are“ Yuta greeted her smiling.
„Sorry to make you wait“ She said apologetic. It kind of felt like going on a date with him. But she knew exactly that this feeling didn't really relate to him. She quickly stopped thinking about things like that. With the thoughts of date she immediaetly came to think of Shota. Now that Ryo had come back she wasn't sure about her feelings anymore. She had loved Ryo a lot back then and even now, when she saw him again, it seemed like the feeling hadn't faded much. But what about Shota? She was sure she felt something for him and the thought of breaking up with him hurt her. But was it really fair to continue dating him, when she liked someone else?
She kept thinking in this circle and stayed silent the whole way. When they stood in front of a upper class apartment complex he pulled her out of her thoughts.
„Everything alright?“ he asked worried and Erika nodded quickly.
„Just in thoughts...So you live here?“ she said as she looked at the marmor in the hall in amazement. „Wow. You must be really rich“ They walked into the elevator that seemed as elegant as the whole house.
„My father owns this house, so i can live here for free with Yui and Ryo.“ he answered smiling a he pressed the button with the number 4 on it.
„What does your father do?“ asked Erika amazed, when she heard the news.
„He is actually a doctor as well, but he inherited a lot of money from his parents.“ Yuta said shortly and stepped out of the elevator.
„Here we are.“ he added and showed her to the door with the number 402 on it.
Erika took a last deep breath before entering nervously after Yuta.

Ryo was walking home with Yui, who couldn't stop talking about Miura Haruma. The boy she had met in the Konbini only half an hour ago. They had talked for some time, he had promised to visit the cafe she'll work for in order to see her and they exchanged email adresses. Both of them seemed to be really attracted to ech other.
„You know that you're pretty annoying, don't you?“ Ryo said rudely as she was still talking about him when they entered the elevator.
„Aww, Nii-chan, jeaulous?“ she teased him and giggled when he just rolled his eyes.
„We're home!“ Yui said in a cheery way and stopped abruptly when she saw more shoes than normal in the entrance.
„A guest?“ she said to herself and went inside, ahead of Ryo.
Ryo followed her quietly. He thought it must be some colleagues of Yuta, since it was his first day at work, but when he saw Erika and Yamapi in their living room, he was surprised to say the least.
„You're late, you two“ Yuta said, but he didnt seem angry or annoyed, since he was smiling. „Yeah, sorry about that...you should have told me that they come and i would have been on time.“ he answered Yuta and turned to Erika and Yamapi then smiling. „Hey there“ he said still feelin a bit awkward.
„Hi“ they said and smiled at him and Yui. There was a moment of silence and Ryo, who was beginning to feel umcomfortable decided to wash the dished, to keep his hands busy.
„You know what?“ Yui said then excitedly to the three people in the room who haven't heard the news yet.
„I've got a job! I'm going to work at a cafe called Copa room. Do you know it?“
„Copa Room? Of course! I go there often with colleagues or Shota!“ Erika said. „Congratulations Yui“
The other two expressed their happiness as well and Yui went on.
„And then i met this cool guy in the Konbini Nii-chan works at“ she said and Ryo sighed. Yuta was doing his best to cover up his jeaulousy. Erika, Yamapi and Ryo could easily see thorugh it, but Yui didn't notice.
„He's so nice and good looking. We exchanged numbers!“ she was so excited that she kept on talking and talking for about 5 minutes, like when she was talking to Ryo about it. In the meantime Ryo had done most of the washing and Yuta came to help after a while. When Yui was telling them for the third time how good-looking he was, Yuta lost his self-control. He threw the plate he was drying to the ground, so that it broke loudly in many pieces and snapped at Yui „Cant you just shut up? We're not the least interested in your Mr Perfect!“
He sent her a cold glare before he went to the door quickly and shut it loudly behind him.
„Whats with him?“ she asked naively and Ryo just shook his head in disbelieve. He started collecting the broken pieces and Erika went to help him. „Its alright“ he said after smiling thankfully at her, making her heart skip a beat. But Erika insisted on helping so they did the rest of the dishes together after cleaning up Yuta's mess.
„You know, when you talked about an apartment complex i had something different in mind“ came Yamapis Voice from the couch and Ryo laughed.
„Yeah, it's a bit luxurious isnt it? Yuta insisted that Yui and I stay with him, because he has a lot of space here.“ he said.
„I see.“ Erika answered and took a look through the room again.
„Are you two staying for dinner?“ Ryo asked then and took vegetables out of the fridge.
„Cooking?“ Yui asked delighted as she saw Ryos actions. Instead of answering Ryo just smiled, like he often did.
„If it's alright with you, we'd love to, right Yamapi?“ Erika said and waited for Yamapis nod, before she went to help Ryo by cutting the vegetables.
„Yui ... How about looking after Yuta? I'll call your phone when dinner is done“ Ryo suggested and Yui aggreed sighing.
After the door closed behind her, the only thing that could be heard, were the noises of the cooking. They didn't talk for a long time. Nobody knew where to start.
„So, hows your first day in the Konbini been?“ Yamapi started then to make the situtation less awkward. He was sitting on the couch, watching them.
„It was good, even though I was spending a lot of time on trying to open up my coworker. Do you know her maybe? Ishihara Satomi? The store owner told me some bad things about her, so i thought you might know.“ Ryo said and the two looked at him a bit shocked.
„Of course we know her. Everyone in Nagoya knows her. She's famous for her crime. I didn't know that she worked there...“ Erika answered and paused for a while. „You know ... I think it would be better to stay away from her. She's bad news. The last one who tried to befriend her ended up in the hospital.“ She had a serious expression on her face and after looking at Yamapis face, Ryo knew hehad the same opinion about Satomi.
Ryo stopped the cooking for a while and looked at them with a determined look. „I won't“
„You won't talk to her or you won't stay away from her?“ Erika asked with a bad feeling about the whole thing.
„Stay away from her...She deserves a second chance i think. And we don't know what actually happened with her father.“ he answered and looked away again.
Both Erika and Yamapi looked worriedely at each other. But they couldn't help it. Ryo was an adult after all, so he should be able to take care of himself.
„So...Shota you said before? Your Boyfriend?“ Ryo said and tried to sound as casual as he could.
She avoided looking into his face when she answered. „Yes, he is“ she confirmed and he felt how his heart clenched a bit. He hadn't expected that she would stay single until she died, but to hear that she was taken now, hurt him. Not just that she was taken, but that she probably didnt feel anything for him anymore.
He forced a smile on his face. „I see“ It was Probably better that way. She would be happy, even if he wasn't there anymore.
„Ah, i almost forgot. Do you want to go to the park with me tomorrow? I thought we could picknick maybe. They said it would be great weather.“ Ryo suggested and after a while the two of them agreed happily. After that their conversations went more smootly and the awkwardness started to disappear as well. It almost felt like 8 years ago. Chatting and Joking around with his two best friends.

Thanks for the comments :D I start to think that i there are too many characters in my story too xD But in my head the couples are already clear ;) Narimiya Hiroki won't appear much, as well as Matsuda Shota. But Miura Haruma will play an important role later, as well as Satomi.
I hope its not too confusing and that you can bear with it until it gets all cleared up ;)
I'm not really satisfied with this chapter, but i hope you enjoy it nontheless.
Next chapter will definetely be up this weekend. ^^
