Hye Jin’s POV

This guy saved my life… even though he doesn’t know me… I thought to myself as I looked at the guy who is beside me on the ambulance. Thank God he was there… I continued thinking.

I heard doors opening and I felt being pulled out of the ambulance. We were at the hospital. I can see the doctors and nurses rushing to my side all talking at the same time. I was looking at them. When I got tired, I decided to look at one person and so my focus lay on the guy who saved my life.

------------------------------

Junsu’s POV

I can see that Hye Jin was trying her best to listen to the ongoing conversations between the nurses and doctors. I was still trailing behind them. I saw Hye Jin looking at me. Her eyes tell me that they are tired and wanting to sleep. ‘Don’t think about it… let the doctors take care of you…’ I mouthed to her. I stopped before the door of the emergency room and looked from my spot until the door closed in front of me.

I dialled the number of my girlfriend and placed the receiver on my ear.

*riiiing riiiing*

“Yeoboseyo?”
“Mi Hee ah?” I called out
“Oppa… what is it?” Mi Hee asked.
“Just wanted to tell you that I can’t visit you today… I brought someone in the emergency room …” I answered.
“What happened to her, oppa?” Mi Hee asked concerned.
“She was shot but as for the reason, I don’t know… but as I was going to your house, I heard a gunshot and found her lying on the road…” I answered.
“Oh… that’s okay, oppa… you’re a hero!” Mi Hee exclaimed. “Perhaps I’ll see you tomorrow…” she continued.
“Of course, baby… you will…” I answered.
“GREAT! See you tomorrow, oppa! Bye!” she replied and hung up.

Is it me or is it that my girlfriend is in a hurry to put down the phone? I really don’t understand why she was in a hurry to put down the phone. Before we would spend our time talking even though we are far from each other, but now, we haven’t even reached one hour.

“I’ll just talk to her tomorrow about it.” I told myself.

3RD person’s POV

One of the doctors came out of the emergency room and approached Junsu.

“I’m guessing you are Mr. Kim Junsu?” the doctor assumed.
“Ne…” Junsu replied as he bowed to the doctor.
“I’m Dr. Lee…” the doctor introduced himself as he stretched out his hand to Junsu and Junsu took it.
“Is there a problem, Dr. Lee?” Junsu asked.
“Well, unfortunately her heart was bruised… it’s a miracle that her lungs weren’t damaged although her left lung seems a bit reddish… I’m guessing the bullet passed by it… it is also a miracle that she kept on holding on…” Dr. Lee reported his diagnosis.
“Thank God…” Junsu sighed.
“But it doesn’t stop there, Mr. Kim…” Dr. Lee replied.
“What do you mean?” Junsu asked.
“She needs a heart transplant… and fortunately we have one donor… I just hope that her body won’t reject it… but I need the approval of one of her relatives…” Dr. Lee told Junsu.

Junsu brought out Hye Jin’s phone and run through its phonebook. When he found the number that he needed, he then copied the number on his phone and pressed on the ‘call’ button. He talked to the person on the other line for 20 minutes.

“They’re on their way here, Dr. Lee…” Junsu addressed to the doctor.

After an hour or so, Hye Jin’s parents arrived. They talked to Junsu and thanked him for saving their only child then they talked to Dr. Lee. Hye Jin’s parents agreed to have Hye Jin undergo heart transplant. Upon getting Hye Jin’s parents approval, Dr. Lee proceeded with the operation.

Junsu as well as Hye Jin’s parents waited for the result of the operation.
