The first thing he noticed was the lack of light. It wasn’t pitch black, but he could barely see two feet in front of him. Then, he realized he was dreaming. This was odd, since he hadn’t dreamt while sleeping since he was a little kid. He snorted mentally. It totally figured that the first time he dreams in over a decade it’s nothing but darkness.
“Junsu.”
He turned sharply, searching for the source of the voice, eyes narrowed. “Hello? Who’s there?” he called out into the darkness, hoping for a response.
“Junsu.”
He turned around again, the voice one more coming from behind him. He furrowed his eyebrows.
“What the hell…?”
This was definitely weird. Nothing but darkness and a voice without a source calling out for him.
Perfect.
“Junsu.”
His breath caught and his head whipped around sharply. That time, the voice had been right behind him. He shivered, desperately trying to see something.
“Who’s out there?”
“I’m coming for you Junsu.”
The voice whispered directly into his ear this time. He stood, frozen, unable to move as the voice spoke to him. He felt a pair of phantom lips grazing over his ear and he clenched his eyes shut, unable to do anything else. The voice chuckled; low and husky, the sound making Junsu shudder lightly. A pair of hands gripped his hips, a chest pressed against his back. This person, whoever they were, was definitely taller than he was, and definitely stronger by the feel of their chest and how securely his hands griped his hips.
He gulped, wanting desperately to move, to run away from this mystery person. He felt them press closer and he shivered. He felt the person chuckle this time against his back. He inhaled sharply, trying to mentally snap out of it, to turn around and push this person away, to run. The person seemed to sense his intentions, wrapping his arms around his waist securely and pressing even closer along his back before leaning down to whisper into his ear again.
Junsu held his breath, wondering what this person was going to say this time –
“Time to wake up Junsu”

Kim Junsu jolted up in bed, gasping and breathing harshly, sweat soaking his t-shirt and making it stick to his skin. His sheets were pushed down to the bottom of the bed and tangled around his feet. He inhaled shakily before exhaling and running a hand through his hair and turning to the alarm clock beside the bed.
‘6:10’ flashed bright red and he groaned, falling back on the bed and staring up at the ceiling. He had another five minutes before his alarm would go off so he could get ready for school.
‘What was up with that dream?’
Already he was forgetting parts of it, but the feeling of the guy in his dream pressed up against him, the way his voice sounded against his ear, and the last thing he said before telling him to wake up.
‘I’m coming for you Junsu.’
He shivered again, remembering the way he had whispered the words sensually to him, the way he had pressed closer to him, the feeling of being in his arms…
The sound of his alarm clock screeching jolted him from his thoughts and made him scowl. “Stupid thing…” he slammed a hand down on top of it, switching it off and reveling in the silence that brought before sighing and getting up, determined to forget that weird dream and the man with it.

He slid into his seat in his first period just moments before the bell rang, the teacher in front glaring at him. “You’re cutting it close Mr. Kim.” Junsu bowed his head and mumbled an apology, surreptitiously kicking his best friends shin in the seat next to him as he snickered. The teacher started the lesson and Junsu immediately tuned out, staring out the window next to him.
About half-way through the class he felt his best friend poking him. He ignored it at first, but he just wouldn’t stop. He turned, glaring at him but his best friend just smiled cheekily at him before sliding a piece of paper over onto his desk and moving to stare back to the front in some semblance of paying attention. Junsu sighed and glanced down at the paper and reading the words written there that were apparently so important it couldn’t wait until after class was over.
‘what’s wrong you look like shit, su?’
Junsu snorted at his bluntness before writing a reply and sliding it back over.
‘gee, thanks jae. and nothing’s wrong, okay?’
He heard Jaejoong replying before the paper was slid back over.
‘like hell. what’s wrong? did something happen?’
Junsu mentally sighed. Normally he would drop it but he could tell this time he wouldn’t.
‘Damn him.’
‘no, nothing happened. i’ll tell you next block, okay?’
He slid the paper back over before turning to look back out the window again, letting his thoughts drift. He was still thinking about that dream. It seemed the more he tried to forget it and the man in it, the more he thought about it, and him.
He wondered why it affected him so much, why he couldn’t forget about it, or the guy. It was just a dream, a really weird dream.
He must have drifted farther than he thought because next thing he knew Jaejoong was shaking his shoulder obnoxiously.
“Su! Junsuuu! SuSu-ah answer me!”
He growled, shaking the hand off and turning to glare at his best friend. “What Jae?”
He just smiled at him obnoxiously. “Time for our next class Su. Come on.” He blinked, looking at the clock on the wall and seeing that it was, in fact, time for the next class. He nodded, gathering his stuff and standing before walking out with Jaejoong chattering nonstop next to him. He just kept drifting into his thoughts and ignoring the things around him.
They reached the next class with a minute to spare before taking their seats. Generally they could do whatever they wanted in this class, just as long as they turned in the assignments on time and passed their tests. Their next assignment was due tomorrow but most everyone was done, including Junsu and Jaejoong so they had a free period.
As soon as they sat down Jaejoong rounded on him, a demanding look on his face. “Okay su, spill it. What’s up with you today? You completely zone out during class, you look liked you hardly got any sleep, you’re so quiet and you were almost late today. You’re never late!” his expression morphed into a concerned one. “Junsu, what’s wrong?”
Junsu sighed, running a hand through his hair unconsciously. “I don’t know Jae. It’s just…this dream I had – ” Jaejoong cut him off, shocked. “Wait, wait, wait, you had a dream?”
Junsu looked at him, annoyed. “Yes, a dream. I know, it shocked me too.” He exhaled sharply. “It was…weird, too.” Jaejoong scooted his chair closer, curiosity clear on his face. “Weird how?” Junsu shook his head. “I can’t really remember it. But there was this guy, he…I didn’t see what he looked like. He stood behind me the whole time and it was like…like I was frozen. I couldn’t move. I remember him wrapping his arms around me and saying, ‘I’m coming for you Junsu’ …and then I woke up.”
He looked over at Jaejoong who had a weird expression on his face. “Wait, so you had your first dream in over ten years and it was about a guy holding you and coming for you?” a teasing glint entered his eyes and Junsu mentally groaned at what he knew was coming. “Is there something you need to tell me Jun- oof!”
Junsu smack him in the stomach, glaring at him while Jaejoong whined and held his stomach. “What was that for SuSu?” he just looked at him pointedly and Jaejoong sighed. “I know, I know, sorry.” He grimaced before pulling his hands away and pouting. “You’re getting violent Su. You should find ways of releasing all that pent up aggression in ways other than abusing your loving best friend.” Junsu snorted and took out a book from his bag, determined to ignore Jaejoong for the rest of the day, regardless of his whining.

Shim Changmin sat up from his bed, a satisfied grin on his face. It had worked, much better than he had thought it would for a first attempt. Now that the connection was there it would only get easier to connect and he would also be able to stay connected longer.
“It worked then?”
He glanced up to see Yoochun leaning on his door jam, arms crossed and a small grin on his lips. Changmin smirked at him. “Of course it did, what else did you expect?” Yoochun snorted, uncrossing his arms and walking into the room and climbing onto the bed with Changmin, settling down next to him and leaning his head on his shoulder.
Changmin’s arm immediately went around Yoochun’s shoulders to pull him closer, laying his head down on top of his as well. They sat in silence for a while, neither speaking, both preferring the companionable silence between them. If it had been anyone else Changmin would have never allowed such contact, nor would they have gotten so close or be privileged enough to enter his room without permission.
Yoochun sighed, pulling back and looking at Changmin. “You know you don’t have much time. Others will have started looking for him by now. Now that you’ve made contact…” the rest went unspoken, but it was understood anyway.
Now he would be put right in the path of danger.
Changmin sighed in frustration, any positive emotions from having finally made contact being erased and replaced with a sense of urgency. “I know Chun. I have to move quickly, but I can’t move to strongly or I’ll lose my chance before I even get to try.” Yoochun smiled sympathetically, putting a comforting hand on Changmin’s shoulder. “I know Min. But if anyone can do this, it’s you. I’m sure everything will work out in the end.”
Changmin glanced at him, grateful and slightly relieved. If Yoochun could tell him that…”Thanks Chun. Now get out, I need to get ready.” Yoochun laughed, already getting off of the bed and walking away. “I’ll see you downstairs then.”
He closed the door behind him, still chuckling a little and Changmin snorted and fell back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, eye’s slightly troubled. He really would have to move fast, but he couldn’t be hasty. He didn’t want to scare him. He wouldn’t, however, allow anyone else to get to him before he could, he wouldn’t allow them to use him against him or to hurt him. His eyes narrowed at the thought.
Kim Junsu belonged to him. And he’d be damned (‘ha!’ he laughed mentally at the thought) if he let anyone harm him or come between them.
