Changmin glanced out the windows silently, not recognizing the scenery passing by at a rapid rate. Changmin didn’t think that the speedometer had gone below 90 MPH in the last hour and a half. Yoochun was blasting music and singing along to it loudly and off-key, his window rolled down and sunglasses covering his eyes. Changmin didn’t recognize the song or the people singing, but he commonly didn’t listen to much music so he wasn’t surprised by this fact.
He lost himself in his thoughts, thoughts about Junsu, Yoochun, this situation…It was not ideal. He wished things were going differently, better. However, because of his position there were many people who would see him fail, and/or try to take his position from him. He wasn’t, however, about to make it easy on them.
He was drawn from his thoughts when he noticed the sudden lack of sound. He looked over at Yoochun to see him staring blankly out the windshield, glasses off, window up, and hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. Changmin sat up abruptly, concerned. Yoochun’s eyes were glazed over, seeing something that was not in front of them.
He came out of it not ten seconds later, breathing in deeply and flexing his grip on the steering wheel. His eyes refocused on the road in front of them, which was nearly empty. His eyes flicked to the right before he flicked on his right blinker, slowing down before he pulled over and stopped completely, turning off the engine and parking the car. Changmin grew even more concerned, wondering what could have bothered him so much that he had to pull over to tell him what he saw.
“Yoochun?”
Yoochun released his grip on the wheel, breathing in slowly before looking over at Changmin, his eyes worried. “Changmin…” He reached out and took Yoochun’s hand in his own, squeezing it lightly. “What is it Yoochun?”
Yoochun bit his lip before opening his mouth, closing it, then opening it again before finally speaking. “I…remember when we said that it was just as likely that someone would hire a hit man to go after Junsu, as it was that someone would try to take him for themselves?” Changmin nodded, having the feeling he knew what was coming. “Who is it Yoochun? Who’s going after Junsu?”
Yoochun looked worried. “It’s Jung Yunho.”
Changmin’s face went blank.
“Jung Yunho?”
Yoochun nodded.
“The Jung Yunho?”
Yoochun nodded.
“Vampire Jung Yunho?”
Yoochun nodded, sighing.
“…Shit.”
Yoochun nodded, squeezing his hand comfortingly.
“Yeah.”

“SuSu-ah! Rise and shine! Time to get up and greet your loving hyung! Who has even graciously made breakfast for you!”
Junsu groaned in his bed, rolling over and sticking his head under a pillow and holding it there.
‘Maybe if I ignore him he’ll go away and leave me in peace…’
He felt someone shaking him frantically and he groaned mentally. ‘Damnit…’
“Susu-ah! Answer me! Don’t you dare ignore me young man! Get up!”
Junsu groaned audibly this time, moving the pillow off of his head and sitting up to glare at Jaejoong who was looking back at him innocently. He scowled at Jaejoong, whipping the pillow in his face and ignoring the indignant ‘Hey!’ that came from him. “How did you even get in here you annoying bastard?”
Jaejoong pouted at him. “You don’t mean that Su! And I used the spare key you gave me!” He held it up with a bright grin and Junsu stared blankly at him.
“I never gave you a spare key.”
“Yes you did. I have it right here.”
“I’d have never given you a spare key Jae. I see enough of your whining ass at school; I don’t need you showing up at my home whenever you want.”
An exaggerated gasp then a pout. “You don’t mean that Su-ah! See, this is why I had to steal your key from you and make a copy of it myself!”
Silence from both of them.
Jae blinked before smiling sheepishly. “Um, haha, I didn’t mean to say that. Forget you ever heard it!” He pointed at him, an exaggerated look of determination on his face. Junsu just stared back blankly before groaning and running his hand over his face.
“You’re such a freak Jae; I should have known you would do something like this.” He ignored the pout thrown his way as he got out of bed, stretching before starting to push Jaejoong out of his room, ignoring his bodily protests.
“Get out you leach. I need to change.” He slammed the door on Jaejoong’s face, feeling a sense of satisfaction at the small action.
He stepped out of his room ten minutes later after changing, brushing his teeth and washing his face, smelling instantly the breakfast that Jaejoong said he had made. He walked into the kitchen to see Jaejoong finish plating an American style breakfast of French toast, eggs, bacon and pancakes. Junsu felt his eyebrows rise almost to his hairline. “Think you made enough Jae?” Jaejoong just hummed and ignored Junsu’s sarcastic remark, grabbing the plates and bringing them over to Junsu’s small two person table, setting the plates down before going back and getting some syrup and butter, bringing those over as well before sitting down before looking at Junsu impatiently, sighing. “Get our drinks why don’t you? Do I have to do everything around here?”
Junsu felt his eyebrow twitch in annoyance, refraining from saying something sarcastic back, getting the orange juice and two glasses, bringing them over to the table and setting them down, pouring himself some and leaving Jae to pour his own, ignoring his pout. They ate mostly in silence, Junsu still kinda tired and annoyed, and Jaejoong not wanting to annoy Junsu more before he had the chance to completely calm down. Jaejoong had fun annoying Junsu, it was just playful, a way for him to show affection and Junsu knew that, but they had been best friends long enough for him to know when not push him anymore and wait.
It wasn’t until they had finished eating and cleaned up that Junsu faced him and asked resignedly, “What are you doing here Jae?” Jaejoong grinned at Junsu brightly, throwing an arm over his shoulders and pulling him out of the kitchen. “Why Su-ah, can’t I come visit my favorite dongsaeng and make him breakfast with no other alternatives or hidden motives?”
Junsu just stared at him blankly, conveying what exactly he thought of that statement coming from Jaejoong, before speaking and interrupting Jaejoong as he was about to talk again, “I’m your only dongsaeng you idiot”. Jaejoong, to his credit, was not deterred in the slightest at the fact that Junsu had cut him off or by the statement he had uttered, continuing on without any hesitation. “Besides that, I was worried Su-ah. I had the feeling you would need me so I came as soon as possible. I would have come last night when I got the feeling but I couldn’t get away.”
Junsu kept silent at that, looking away from Jaejoong and not denying the statement. With the way he was feeling yesterday, still feeling today, he probably did need Jaejoong. Jaejoong had an uncanny ability to know things, his instincts were unparalleled. He also had the ability to make Junsu feel better and cheer him up when no one else could. He always knew when Junsu needed help, needed him, and made Jaejoong the best friend Junsu had ever had. Especially since Junsu had a problem with asking people for help, and Jaejoong, the stubborn bastard, just wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Jaejoong took his silence for what it was - a silent confession that he was right. Jaejoong led them into Junsu’s bedroom, sitting Junsu on the bed before kneeling down in front of him and setting his hands on Junsu’s knees and smiling up at him softly. “Now tell me what’s wrong Su-ah.”
Junsu was silent for a long time, trying to figure out how to explain his almost-mini breakdown the day before and the reason behind it. Jaejoong was the only one who knew of his past and the real reason he was living on his own, separate from his parents. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before pointing wearily at his laptop. Jaejoong furrowed his brows and looked at it before looking back, a question in his expression. Junsu just pointed at it again and Jaejoong got up this time, walking over to it before taking it out of sleep mode.
Once he had it on he looked at Junsu again, who this time got up and opened up the internet before clicking through his history and bringing up a few sites. When that was done he walked back to the bed and lay down, facing away from Jaejoong, completely silent.
Jaejoong blinked before looking through the sites Junsu had brought up, his eyes widening as he read through each, realizing what had set his Junsu-senses tingling. He quickly exited out and shut the laptop before walking over to the bed and climbing on behind Junsu and hugging him to his chest tightly.
“It’s okay Su-ah.” He murmured into Junsu’s hair softly, feeling Junsu squeeze his hands in return, his body shaking slightly.
“Please Jae, tell me I’m crazy. Tell me it’s not real, that it’s a figment of my imagination and that the man in my dreams isn’t a…a demon, or some other supernatural creature.”
Jaejoong just tightened his grip on Junsu, whose body was starting to shake more profusely. “I can’t do that Su-ah. You do believe it, and I believe you. That’s fine though. I promise, everything will be fine.”
That’s when Junsu seemed to break, his body shaking almost violently from trying to keep his sobs in. Jaejoong turned Junsu in his arms and held him close, feeling Junsu cling to him. He rubbed soothing circles on Junsu’s back, feeling a pang in his heart that Junsu was like this. He mentally damned Junsu’s parents again for making him like this, so afraid to believe in something that Junsu so obviously thought was real. Jaejoong didn’t doubt Junsu though. He wouldn’t believe in something so strongly if it wasn’t real.
He wasn’t about to let Junsu be hurt again. He didn’t know what that demon, or vampire, or werewolf, or whatever the hell it was wanted with Junsu, but whatever it was would have to go through Jaejoong if they were going to hurt Junsu.
And he’d be damned if he let that happen.

Changmin sighed and stared out the window blankly. They were once again on the road, Yoochun going faster than before. This time the speed hadn’t dropped below 110 MPH. Yoochun glanced at him out of the corner of his eyes and sighed mentally before speaking, eyes back on the road.
“You know, it isn’t that bad really.” Changmin glanced at him and bit his lip, nodding. “I know Chun. Still, this is Jung Yunho we’re talking about. He’s the best mercenary for hire out there. He always gets the job done. For all we know he could have done something already.” Yoochun nodded in agreement before speaking. “From what I hear though, he’ll do anything for the right price. We might be able to get him to back off. We might even be able to hire him to protect Junsu instead of kill him.”
Changmin sighed again. “That still won’t do us any good if Junsu is already hurt!” Yoochun bit his lip, unsure of how to respond. For some reason he couldn’t see Junsu’s future clearly. He could see Yunho’s though. “Junsu’s not dead, and I’m pretty positive that he’s not hurt yet either. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Changmin nodded resignedly before looking over at Yoochun in confusion. “How exactly will we do that? You can’t see his future clearly.” Yoochun looked over at him with a small grin before pointing at an upcoming sign on the side of the road. On it was a city name and how far away they were. Changmin glanced at it blankly, not knowing the significance, before something clicked in his brain and he sat up straighter, looking over at Yoochun in disbelief.
“You’re kidding!” Yoochun just shook his head and grinned. “Nope. I found out where he was exactly. Took me a lot of time and a lot of patience, too. I can’t bring you directly to him, but we will be in the same city.”
Changmin grinned ecstatically before leaning over and hugging Yoochun as best he could. Yoochun just grinned and kept driving. “This will also make the connection easier, won’t it?” Changmin nodded, brain already working out all the advantages to this.
Yoochun just grinned, knowing Changmin was lost in how own little world now. He loved seeing Changmin like this. He was the only one with such a privilege, to see Changmin with all his guards down and acting his age. Because technically, they were still very young for demons. With Changmin’s status though, he had to keep up a façade around others, couldn’t let them see his true self, for this was his true self. Everyone else just say the ruthless, blunt and cold exterior he put up to hide it.
Yoochun grinned again before flicking on the music and blasting it, putting his sunglasses back on and rolling down the window before pressing on the gas to go even further.
Time to have some fun.

Yunho watched his target, bored, as he and someone else talked on his bed. He had to admit though, for a human, he was attractive. He watched as his target pointed to something out of his line of sight, the other human leaving before his target got up and walked over as well, coming back moments later and laying down, facing Yunho. Minutes later the other one joined him and they curled together, Yunho watching as his target seemed to have a breakdown in the other human’s arms.
Besides the other human showing up, absolutely nothing interesting had happened the whole time. He was so bored, once again wondering why his client could want this human dead so badly.
That was when he felt it.
Two very powerful demons were heading in the direction of this city, neither bothering to hide their auras. Yunho gulped, paling, making his already pale skin paler. They were close, maybe twenty miles from the city limits, and for Yunho to be able to feel them this far, even with his heightened ability to sense auras, to feel them almost in the middle of the city…
He shivered, looking in the direction they were coming from. He didn’t know what two obviously powerful demons were doing coming to this city, but he didn’t want to run into them.
