”Come here and chose your cereals that you want” I said to Sarang and Minho, who where both running around the shopping cart while chasing one another.
“Yee” they both laughed and came over and stood next to me by the cereals. “They have coco puffs” I explained and pointed towards the box with a weird animal on the front who were at the same time holding a bowl with coco puffs mixed with milk.
“Please can we buy” Minho cried and pulled my jacket lightly, I smiled before picking the packet down and laying it in the cart next to the Kimchi (yes I’m a sucker for that), bread and the meat.
“Then we’ll need some milk to the cereals” I continued and before I could even start looking for the milk both Sarang and Minho said that they could get it, “okay, be careful” I whispered and then patted Sarang’s head and told her to take care of her little brother and be nice.
“Nee unni”
“I’ll wait over here” I smiled and pointed to the end of the cereal line. “Okay”.
I saw them walking away and I decided to check out if there was some cereal that I would like to have, but before I got the chance to even look at one someone said my name. Making me snap my head to the left where I thought the voice came from. And I was right, the person stood their but I was amazingly surprised by who it was.
“Yun Hee what are you doing here?” I asked as nicely as possible though she didn’t make it easier by showing of a large frown. “I’m here because I need to talk to you” she answered back and I wondered what the thing that she wanted to talk about was.
“What is it” I wondered and waited for her to continue, “It’s about Hankyung”. I stared back to see if Sarang and Minho was coming, but they wasn’t. “Are something wrong with him?” I asked with fear in my voice, “had something happened to him?” I wondered in my mind as I heard Yun Hee speak.
“He’s acting weird but when I ask him what’s wrong then he don’t want to answer, and I thought that since you’ve known him longer than me then I thought that you might talk to him” Yun Hee said with a brisk voice. “So know its okay to be nice to me just because Hankyung isn’t feeling well, if that’s what you can call it. And you are powerless to do anything” I asked with anger in my voice. Did she really think I would help her when she has never been nice to me before when I was. Though I stopped being nice when she wasn’t showing any signs of friendliness towards me.
Yun Hee had her head hung low and I knew that she understood what I had said to her, “I’m sorry Min Young but I had my reasons to be angry and mad at you” she said and raised her head and she stared at me, but her stare was different from before. It was nicer.
“What did I ever do to you? So that you would be unfriendly towards me?” I asked her, still angry since I knew that I had never done anything towards her.
“Please don’t let Sarang and Minho come know when we are arguing” I said inside my head as I heard Yun Hee continuing her speech. “I was jealous of you”.
“Why’d you be jealous of me?” I wondered with laughter tickling my throat, she must be the first person being jealous with me.
“Don’t you see how much Hankyung likes you and not to mention Onew, they really care for you and yet you don’t seem to see that. I’ve never had such good friends that care for me that much” Yun Hee cried and I could see that she was sad.
“Of course I know that they care for me a lot, but Hankyung loves you and besides we are just friends so you don’t have to worry” I smiled and patted her shoulder lightly. “Still can’t you talk to him?” she asked and I nodded my head approvingly. “Thanks Min Young, I have no idea why I have been so mean to you in the past” she said and suddenly hugged me before disappearing the same way she came.
“I guess I’ll go talk to Hankyung tomorrow then” my mind marked tomorrow as a meeting-Hankyung day, okay I would probably not be talking to him the whole day.
“Unni here” Sarang’s voice took me by surprise and made me jump a little before I turned around and saw Sarang holding two packets of milk and then Minho was holding one with both of his hands.
“Cute” I beamed and then said komawo to them both for helping.
“Should we go?” I asked and started to walk towards the checkout.
*Later*
“Noona what are we going to get for Christmas?” Minho asked as I he helped me pack up the things we bought at the supermarket. “Oh yeah, it’s Christmas in a month” I complied a bit since I had no idea what I would buy to anyone so far. “I have no idea Minho” I answered truthfully as I started to load the food inside the refrigerator.
“Ohh” was all that came out from Minho’s mouth; I could easily tell that he was disappointed. “Don’t worry Minho I’m going to get both of you a present” I smiled and patted his head before he ran out from the kitchen.
It didn’t take long before all the food was on their right place, “hm should I call Hankyung?”
“I better do that just in case he has schedule tomorrow and doesn’t have time to talk with me” I said out loud and picked up my phone from my pocket and dialed Hankyung who picked up after three calls with an annyeong.
“Annyeong oppa” I replied and continued, asking if we could meet tomorrow because I had something to ask. “Nee that’s okay, come to our practice room at SM and I’ll be there” Hankyung said and I wondered if 5.00PM would be okay since Sarang and Minho was living with us now and I think they would want to sleep a bit longer than just to 9.00AM. And then I could also get to sleep a bit more. I have no idea but I always feel so tired.
“5.00PM sounds perfect” Hankyung laughed and then asked who I was.
“What should I answer on that, I had no clue on how I was feeling. Confused, scared?” my mind ranted on, I was more or less scared to death, I didn’t know if I should confess to Onew or not and what if he reject me. I would look like a fool.
“I…I’m fine” I stuttered and tried to sound as convincing as possible. “Oh that’s good” Hankyung replied before I asked him the same thing. More or less the only thing he said back was great, he didn’t really develop his answer more, not that I didn’t mind me. That he just answered with on words but just now; today it was something in his voice that bothered me. But I couldn’t really put a finger to it.
“Min Young I have to go, but I’ll see you tomorrow” Hankyung said before saying goodbye, “goodbye” I replied before I ended the call and out my phone back in my pocket.
“I wonder where Sang Mi is” I asked myself and then I started to look for her and later found her sleeping in her own bed. I stared at the clock and noticed that it started to get late and Sarang and Minho where probably hungry because I was.
“Sarang, Minho” I called them and they soon came to the kitchen wondering on what I wanted, “are you hungry?” they both nodded and I smiled before asking them if bulgogi was okay to eat.
“I want to eat that” Sarang chanted and Minho wasn’t late to say the same.
“Okay, then I’ll start with that. You can go look on TV while I’m cooking” I smiled and playfully hushed them out off the kitchen before I started.
