The next week I spent some days with EunHyuk and Shindong during lunches, and halfway through I would run off to the library and maybe play a song or two, sometimes I would just read. Regardless, I found my safe Haven. And everyday I saw KyuHyun sitting at the base of the music room window. He was my audience, and he didn’t know who I was, and I was thinking that I would keep it that way for the time being.
Some days Kim Hyung Jong would be around there too, he would comment on my playing and sometimes give me advice for random things. Although, one day he said something strange to me.
“Do you think he enjoyed it?” He asked. Of course Hyung Jong being the crazy mysterious handsome man he was walked off right after saying that.
Really before that I thought my fascination with Kyuhyun, as I liked to call it, was discrete, the only person who I thought knew was EunHyuk and ShinDong. Hyung Jong was definitely an observant guy. And really I knew I wasn’t crushing on Kyuhyun, right? Right. So it really didn’t matter what other people thought up in their crazy handsome minds right? Right.
Lately I notice I’m having a hard time convincing my self of these things.

“Min-Young, my family is having a dinner this Friday. I would like to know if you could join us.” Kim Hyung Jong asked me. Although we only talk for brief moments on some days, I did already feel comfortable around him, and he gave a sense of an older brother or something.
“Us?” I asked.
“Park Jung Min’s family will be there too.” He explained.
“Ah. That guy.” I said. Not that I disliked Jung Min in fact I really thought he was amusing and I enjoyed talking with him sometimes. Lately though, he’s been pretty moody around me.
“Our class heard about the distracting project your class did in order to beat KyuHyun on a test to get him to look up from all those books.” I understood what he was implying; I knew that he knew, I just didn’t think he knew that I knew that he knew. I hope that wasn’t confusing. And from that statement I didn’t think he knew, since it was a mixed message. “When Jung Min found out he’s been a little aggressive.” He commented.
“Huh, that guy needs to get his ego stamped down.”
“He isn’t used to girls saying no. He knows girls play hard to get, but you are showing no signs of interest.” He laughed. I think Hyung Jong is really a sadistic evil man on the inside; he just seems to love to see his friends in turmoil.
The bell rang, lunch was over so I started heading off to class.
“Are you going to come?” He grabbed my wrist before I could leave.
“Yes, sure I have nothing planned.” I answered; I never really had anything planned actually unless Eunhyuk wanted to do something.
“Perfect.” He smiled softly and let my wrist go. “I’ll see you.” He waved.
I bowed and ran off.

Friday came quickly. Auntie was excited and bought me a dress. Which she didn’t really need to, since I had a bunch already. I didn’t think people needed to buy a new dress for every dinner thing. I think Auntie just enjoyed using Uncle’s credit cards.
‘Is this thing going to be formal?’ I texted Hyung Jong
‘Yes, my family is over the top...’ He quickly returned the message.
Great I have to memorize which spoons to use again.
“EunHyuk?” I sat down at my desk poking him.
“Mm?” he said sitting up for his sprawl on his desk.
“Hyun Jong sunbae asked me to go to his house for some formal family dinner tonight.” I said.
“Ah really? Jung Min will probably be there too.” He said.
“Yeah I know, I really don’t mind him.” I commented. “How did their class find out about the Kyuhyun distraction thing?” I asked… Curious. ShinDong at that moment twiddled his fingers and looked out the window.
“Hmm, well I think only that class knows about it.” Eunhyuk shrugged, “I didn’t tell anyone though it wasn’t really a secret.”
“No but, they know we did it to notice something rather then his book.” I said, almost sarcastically. “And the only people who knew that were you two.” I looked over at ShinDong who was laughing nervously.
“You’re really bad under pressure.” EunHyuk said to ShinDong.
“Sorry, I really didn’t think Kim Hyung Joon would blab it to the rest of the class.” ShinDong said.
“Don’t worry about it too much, really the only people who think I have a thing for KyuHyun now is Jung Min and Hyung Jong, oh and you two. Which I still think is completely ridiculous.” I said.
Eunhyuk laughed. “You still look at him every chance you get.”
I blushed; really I needed to stop staring at him if I wanted to prove my point.
“Look at who?” Donghae asked.
“At Kyu-
“-Heechul, he amazes me with his feminine looks and great skin I’m very envious.” I was pinching ShinDong.
“Really? I think you’re much prettier then Heechul MinYoung.” Donghae smiled and went to his desk. Well I’d hope I looked more like a girl then Heechul, although it was pretty tough competition.
EunHyuk was laughing his head off.

So that night I was preparing for this dinner. My Auntie was dressing me in a simple yet formal enough dress. I didn’t want to stick out, or ending up wearing something too formal. Luckily my Auntie knew my style and bought the perfect dress for that.

My Uncle’s driver said he would take me to Hyung Jong’s house so I didn’t have to walk, I was thankful for that, the shoes I was wearing were not comfortable.
--
When I arrived Hyung Jong was the one who greeted me. Jung Min and his parents were already there and a bunch of other people who I have never seen before were also there. Jung Min quickly left the company of his parents to join us.
“Your parents host too many of these things, Hyung Jong.” Jung min commented pulling on his suit.
“If you took the time to get fitted properly you wouldn’t be having that issue.” Hyung Jong smirked. Jung Min rolled his eyes. “Lets show MinYoung around.”
“Your father will want to know her opinion on all the pieces of art in this household.” Jung Min said he already seemed tired.
Hyung Jong wasn’t an incredibly rich person, but he definitely was apart of the upper classman. Everyone who went to S.A.F.B had a fair share of money; it’s why they went to a private school. I had been in many high class houses, and this one was just as beautiful as the rest, only this one was decorated with the finest pieces of art. I guessed Hyung Jong’s father was very fond of art or had something to do with that business.
I really didn’t want to pry on what his family did, although I could guess they owned a museum since there was a lot of things with a stamp saying ‘Property of Royal Kim Museum.’
--
Everyone was seated at the dinner table. There were about 20 of us in total. I was sitting in between Jung Min and Hyung Jong near the end of the table where Hyung Jong’s father sat and his mother sitting across from me. His mom was just about the prettiest woman I had ever seen.
At the moment I was more concerned with the 3 spoons four forks and 4 knives in front of me. I was scratching the back of my head and Jung min was watching me.
Pointing at the farthest spoon away from me I was trying to remember its purpose, going through each utensil I was starting to get confused already. I really wish my etiquette classes stuck in my mind more. Hyung Jong took notice of what I was doing after that.
The first plate of food came and I didn’t know what fork to use. Jung Min nudged me and grabbed my hand and put it over the fork. I whispered thank you to him and he just smirked.
The majority of the meals either Hyun Jong or Jung Min would help me with whatever utensil I needed to use.
“So, Miss. Yoo MinYoung, did Hyung Jong show you the art?” Mr. Kim asked me.
“Yes, he did actually, I really enjoyed looking at them, and my favorite piece was the cold summer day one.” I said, really I did enjoy art, it was nice to see an artist’s perspective of. things I found it interesting.
“Ah, that is one of my favorites as well. What do your parents do?” He asked.
“Oh, I live with my uncle; he’s the owner of MM Corp.” I said.
Mr. Kim coughed chocking on his food. “MM Corp.? They sponsor some of the museums, Hyung Jong why didn’t you tell us we have the future owner of MM Corp. here with us.”
“I didn’t know myself father.” Hyung jong said looking at me. I shrunk in ym seat, I really didn’t think it was that important. I glanced at Jung Min who seemed frozen in his seat.
“I’m not the future owner of MM Corp. Mr. Kim, my uncle just gave me the opportunity to work under him in the future and maybe if I’m suitable then pass on the company to me. I have a lot of work to do in order to be up to his standards.” I explained.
“Ah, I’m sure you’ll be able to pull through, Hyung Jong speaks highly of you.” Mr. Kim smiled.
“Well I thank Hyung Jong but I think his perception of me is very different from the reality.” I smiled. Hyung Jong rubbed my head playfully.
I got a text messege from EunHyuk at that second.
‘This is a first, Kyuhyun is at the ramen store.’ He wrote. I was slightly surprised, Jung Min was looking at my phone too since I was trying to hide it from everyone else under the table. He seemed a bit peeved off for the rest of the dinner.
--
“Thank you Hyung Jong, the dinner was really nice. Thank you both with the fork issue too.” I said bowing at the entrance of the house.
Jung Min scoffed and went back into the house.
Hyung Jong smiled and bowed in return. “I hope we have another dinner for you to practice your cutlery skills.”
--
When I left and was on ym way home I texted Eunhyuk back.
‘Really? Kyuhyun was there? Was there a special free book with your meal tonight?’ I sent the messege and laughed a little.
He quickly replied.
‘Haha, no he was just eating in a booth alone with a book.’
The fact that Kyuhyun went to one of my common places was really something for me. I may be looking too much into it, since Kyuhyun did live close to the ramen house, but I had never seen him before at the place, and Kim Sang bum who worked there I asked him about it and he said Kyuhyun never comes round there either.
Maybe he did start to notice me.
