She went into the kitchen and got a glass of water. She turned her head and saw a very sleepy looking Koyama walk inside. She smiled and said, “Ohayou! (good morning)”
Koyama blinked sleepily and rubbed his eyes while moving his mouth. He walked past her and opened the refrigerator door, ignoring her completely.
Christine sighed and walked angrily out of the room, she walked past a happy looking Massu, and went straight up to her room.
Massu shrugged and walked inside the kitchen. “Ohayou Kei-chan!” he said with a grin.
Koyama looked up at him and rubbed his eyes. He was still sleepy. He yawned loudly and licked his lips. Massu rolled his eyes and walked in front of his band mate. He suddenly smacked Koyama hard on the head and the latter blinked rapidly, his eyes finally focused, with a confused expression on his face.
“I said ohayou Kei-chan.” Massu repeated while looking at Koyama with cat like eyes.
Koyama looked at Massu and grinned. “Ohayou Massu…when did you get here?” he asked while raising his eyebrows.
Massu rolled his eyes and decided to ignore him. Koyama tended to take a bit of time to wake up completely in the morning…he always needed that special head smack to get him to fully awaken.
Christine lay on her bed looking up at the ceiling. She sighed and reached over, holding a small photo in her hands. She smiled sadly as she traced his face, which was smiling brightly at the camera. She pouted sadly as she thought about him. It hadn’t been a week and she was already missing him dearly. God I’m stupid…why didn’t I tell him I liked him before I left? What if he finds someone else while I am here? Oh no…no no…don’t think like that come on…She closed her eyes tightly and shook her head.
She got up from her bed and reached for her black phone. She took a deep breath and decided to call him. As she was waiting for him to pick up her heart was pumping faster and faster.
Beep… Doki doki

Click… “Hello?” his voice said over the phone. There was a hint of excitement in it.
“Jesse? It’s me…” Christine said in a soft voice, unable to control her lips from curling into a smile.
The moment he had seen her name on his caller ID, he taken a deep breath and answered the phone while feeling his heart beat faster and his cheeks burn. “Hey Chri…I knew it was you.” He said with a smile.
Christine smiled and looked at her bare feet. “Yeah… I was kind of bored and I wanted to talk to you…” She said while twirling her still straight hair with her fingers.
Jesse smiled as he was walking underneath the evening sun back home. “So how are you Chri?” he asked, his blue eyes twinkling in the sun.
“I’m ok…yesterday I got lost in Tokyo though…” she said feeling a bit embarrassed at what happened to her.
When he heard her say that he stopped walking and gasped. “WHAT? Are you ok now? Did something happen to you? Why were you out alone? Didn’t any of the people living there come with you? Are you really ok? What happened?” he asked, a million worries invading his mind all at once.
Christine couldn’t help but giggle silently. She covered her mouth and said, “I’m ok…they couldn’t come with me so I decided to go out alone…turns out I got lost after following a Takoyaki stand guy…”
Jesse let out a sigh of relief and wiped his forehead. “Man Chri you got me worried there for a sec. I thought that something had happened. Be more careful next time ok? Don’t go wandering around Tokyo alone! You never know what will happen to you! And I am not there to protect you…” he added, almost as an afterthought. When he realized what he had said he bushed brightly and covered his mouth.
When she heard him say that last thing Christine also blushed loudly. She covered her mouth and closed her eyes tightly trying to keep her squeal from escaping.
After a few seconds of embarrassing silence, for both parties, Christine said, “Ok…I will be more careful next time…”
Jesse smiled as his cheeks turned redder. “You know I think you are very capable of protecting yourself…” he said with a smile on his face.
Christine giggled and said, “Of course! I am one tough cookie you know!”

“Ohayou minna!” Shige called as he entered the kitchen with a bright grin on his face.
“What’s with you?” Ryo asked while looking at Shige from his bowl of cereal.
“I had a hot dream last night!” Shige said while raising his eyebrows up and down.
“SHIGE!” Koyama shouted while hitting the table top with his palm.
“What?” Shige asked with a confused expression on his face.
“I thought I told you not to share those kinds of dreams of yours at the table!” Koyama reprimanded with a stern tone.
“Oh leave him alone mother…” Ryo said while turning his head towards Shige and asked, “So what was it this time?”
Shige giggled as he gave Ryo a look which said IT WAS THE BOMB! But obviously he couldn’t tell his dream in front of the mother of the group.
Tegoshi yawned as he stretched his hands over his head. “Mooh I don’t feel like going to the photo shoot today…” he whined.
“Oh come on cheer up Tego-chan…” Ryo said with a smile on his face.
“Yeah you are saying that because you are the only one who doesn’t have anything to do today!” Tegoshi whined while pouting.
“Yeah, yeah…what do you have Pi?” Ryo asked while looking at Yamapi, who was quietly eating his cereal.
Yamapi looked up and, after swallowing, said, “I have some photo shoots and a couple of interviews as well.”
“Woah…busy day…” Ryo mumbled while crossing his hands over his chest.
“And you know what the funny thing is?” Yamapi said while looking at Ryo.
“What?” he asked while arching one of his eyebrows.
“All our things start after lunch so we are probably going to be home late…” he said with a sigh.
“Oh no! I hadn’t thought of that!” Massu suddenly said while holding his stomach. “I hope they will give us food.” He said with a smile.
“Being a star is so much work.” Koyama sighed while leaning back dramatically in his chair.
“Oh shut up baka…” Ryo said gruffly, taking Koyama’s comment as an insult to his popularity.
Koyama immediately sat back up and shook his head while waving his hands in front of him. “NO! You got me all wrong!” he said defensively and in a worried tone. He didn’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings.
“Hmm I guess I will be alone with the foreign girl…” Ryo said while rubbing his chin, totally ignoring Koyama’s apologies.
Shige looked up at Ryo and then turned to look at Yamapi, who was still eating his cereal. “Ne Pi…are we still going to ignore her?” he asked his leader, while poking his arm.
Yamapi chewed his breakfast with a serious expression and after swallowing said, “No…I guess we have pushed it too far…you guys can talk to her…”
“Yeosh!” Shige said with a grin on his face and moving his eyebrows up and down.
“He said talk to her Shige, not flirt to death with her…” Ryo commented smirking at Shige’s expression.
“You are so mean.” Shige said while pouting, “I wonder if you were a woman like Cruella Deville in your past life…”
Ryo stuck out his tongue and Shige and didn’t say anything.
They heard hurried steps coming down from the stairs. “Here she comes…” Yamapi commented as he wiped his mouth with a tissue and got up, taking his dirty bowl from the table.
Christine practically jumped down the stairs with the hugest grin she could muster on her face. She jumped the last two steps, unfortunately her attempted ballet landing failed miserably when her leg gave way under her and she found herself splattered, face first, on the floor. “ITAI! (OUCH)” she shouted, her voice muffled since her face was pressed on the cold marble floor.
“What tha…” Ryo said while looking in the direction from where the noise came from. They all decided to head out of the kitchen, towards the stairs, where they saw Christine lying face down on the floor.
Ryo and Yamapi both covered their mouths and held back their laughter. Tegoshi was shocked upon seeing his foreigner friend on the floor like that. Massu was worried about Christine, after his initial reaction of laughter. Koyama gasped as he covered his mouth in shock and was worried if she had broken any bones. Shige, after his initial reaction of seeing whether her panties were visible, was worried if she had broken any teeth since she was lying face first on the floor.
Christine got up and was sitting on the floor. She looked up at saw the six guys looking at her. She rubbed her nose as tears swelled in her eyes…then she burst out laughing while holding onto her stomach.
“Huh?” Ryo uttered while looking at the girl sitting on the floor laughing her heart out.
“Are you ok Chri-chan?” Tegoshi asked while moving forward…afraid that his friend had suffered a rather heavy blow to her head.
Christine continued to giggle and then she said, “I must have looked so funny!”
“Eh?” Shige said while tilting his head.
Suddenly Ryo burst out laughing as well. “She is one crazy girl!” he said in between laughs.
“Did you actually hit your head you idiot?” Yamapi asked while also advancing forwards with a slight smile on his lips.
Christine continued to giggle as she got up from the floor and smoothed out her summer dress. She wiped away her tears and said, “Hmm maybe I did…” and she burst into a fresh set of giggles.
“Ne how did you fall then?” Shige suddenly asked while looking at her with his arms crossed and grin on his face.
Christine stopped laughing and blinked twice, while looking at Shige. Had he just spoken to her? She looked behind her to see if there was someone there, without her knowing. When she saw that there was no one she looked back at Shige and pointed at herself while giving him a look which said, you-talkin-to-me?
Shige chuckled and said, “Yeah I’m talking to you.”
Christine’s smile got wider as she clapped her hands together and said, “So everybody is talking to me now?!”
Koyama stepped forward and said, “Yeah…sorry for the trouble Christine-san.”
“We got tired of playing that game…” Yamapi added while shoving his hands in his jeans pockets.
“What? You are talking to me as well?! I OBJECT!” she shouted while putting up her hand and smiling.
“Idiot.” Yamapi said while pouting. “If I had a choice I wouldn’t talk to you don’t worry…” he added.
“If I had a choice I…I don’t know what I would do actually…” Christine said with a smile and then she burst out laughing.
“I think she is officially crazy.” Yamapi whispered in Ryo’s ears causing him to stifle a laugh.
“Oh Pi…I think you are right…” Ryo added when he saw the huge smile on Christine’s face.
“Why are you smiling so much Chri-chan?” Tegoshi asked unable to hold back the smile on his lips.
“Oh…” Christine said while putting a finger on her chin and smiling again. “I guess…I just can’t help it…” she replied with a twinkle in her eyes. It was because of Jesse of course…she was always thinking about him and that was the thing which kept her from falling for any one of the NewS members.
“I bet she got laid!” Shige shouted while putting his hand up.
After he recovered from the head smack he received from Yamapi, since he was the one with her last night, he said, “Uh…what happened then?”
Christine giggled again and shrugged her shoulders. “Ain’t gonna tell…” she sang while grinning.
“Ne ne ne tell me!” Tegoshi whined while tugging onto her hand.
“I bet it’s a boy!” Koyama said while clapping.
“NO!” Christine shouted defensively while her cheeks burned.
“Is it a girl?” Shige asked in a shocked expression.
“Yeah right…I like a girl…” Christine said sarcastically while giving Shige a look.
“I KNEW IT! You are a lesbian! I just knew it! If you weren’t you would have attacked at least one of us by now!” Shige shouted suddenly while pointing at Christine then at the other guys.
“EH?!” Christine shouted while hanging her mouth open.
All of the boys burst out laughing.
“I’m not a lesbian you imbecile!” she shouted while balling up her fists in anger.
“Well…prove it…” Shige said, while arching an eyebrow and crossing his arms.
“Huh?” Christine said while arching an eyebrow back and giving him an unimpressed look.
All the boys stopped laughing and were looking intently at the two.
“I said prove it…” Shige said with a deep voice.
“You want me to prove I am not gay?” Christine asked looking slightly incredulous.
“Hai~! And the others agree with me as well…” he said while looking at the others.
“Huh? Are you actually serious?” she asked while looking at the other NewS members.
“I have no objections…” Ryo said with a grin.
“I don’t think it is ethi-ITAI! Ah fine…I agree as well…” Koyama said, changing his opinion after he received a hard nudge in his ribs from Ryo.
“It’s ok with me…” Massu said while grinning.
“Do whatever you like…” Yamapi said while smirking.
“I don’t think this is ri- ok…” Tegoshi said, changing his mind after receiving a glare from Ryo, who was ready to nudge him in the ribs as well.
Shige smiled and looked back at Christine. She rolled her eyes and said, “Fine…what do I have to do?”
“Uuuu!” Shige said while clapping his hands excitedly.
“Wait!” Christine shouted while putting out her hand. “I think it’s appropriate for me to at least choose the person who will tell me what I have to do right?”
“Ok fine…choose… who is it going to be?” Shige asked while relaxing his body.
Christine smiled and said, “Koyama!” and pointed at the bouncy orange haired boy.
All eyes were on Koyama as he smiled and blurted out, “Tell us why you were so happy! Is it because of a boy?”
He immediately received a hard slap on his head from an angry Ryo. “Baka!” he hissed.
“You just wasted a perfect opportunity.” Shige said in a disappointed voice.
“Yes.” Christine said, breaking the boys’ grumbling and making them turn to look at her.
She smiled awkwardly as her cheeks began to blush. What the heck? She could tell them since they would never know who he is or ever meet him.
Koyama squealed and hopped over to her, followed by Massu and Tegoshi. “Tell us tell us!” he said while pulling her to the couch.
“Well…” she began while grinning. “We have known each other for over a year now…” she began as she sat down on the couch.
“Oh this is so sweet!” Massu said while grinning and clapping his hands, leaning forwards so he could listen better.
Christine smiled and sighed as she leaned her back against the couch. “So is he cute?” Tegoshi asked. When he asked her that a sad smile appeared on her face as she remembered how much she actually missed him.
She looked at the grinning boy and said, “You guys sound too much like my friends back home…”
“Dude!” Ryo said while bursting out laughing at Christine’s comment. “She just called you gay!” he shouted while pointing at the three boys.
“EH? ORE WA HOMO JANAI! (I am not a homo!)” Koyama shouted while standing up with a shocked expression.
Christine giggled while putting her hand over her mouth. “I am not gay either! I think I will be taking a quick swim in the pool before my photo shoot” Massu said while getting up.
Christine gasped and widened her eyes. She bolted up and grabbed Massu’s sleeve. “Did you just say…pool?” she asked while looking at him in the eyes, causing Massu to gulp.
Massu nodded and Christine immediately let go of his sleeve and ran outside to check whether there was a pool or not.
She gasped as her eyes shone brightly underneath the morning sun. There, right in the middle of the garden, stood a huge pool with its water glistening. There was a huge deck with a barbeque made of stone on the right corner. There was also a bench which was also a swing made of wood. There were flowers here and there and there were also some deck chairs present.
Christine put a hand over her mouth and muffled a squeal. She ran back inside the house and said, “There is a pool!” while pointing at the sliding glass door she had just entered through.
“Good girl…now you get a cookie.” Yamapi said sarcastically while taking a bottle of water from the fridge.
Christine ignored him and turned to Massu. “Are you going to swim?” she asked as her eyes shone brightly.
Massu gulped and nodded. At that instance Christine sprinted towards her bedroom and left the six boys looking at each other with quizzical looks.
“I think she just hit on you Massu!” Shige shouted with a shocked expression while gasping and pointing at Massu.
“Eh? No…no I don’t think so…” Massu said while tilting his head slightly.
“I don’t think she hit on him Shige…I think she was just asking if he was going to swim…maybe she—“ But Tegoshi’s sentence was cut short since something in red rushed passed him, messing up his hair as it went straight out towards the pool.
“What the hell was that?” Koyama half shrieked, getting a bit freaked out.
“I think it was Chri-chan!” Tegoshi said while following Ryo and Shige out towards the pool after they heard a loud splash coming from outside.
“Hey guys!” Christine waved while grinning and taking a dive.
“She was actually serious…” Shige said while grinning.
“Ne ne ne wait for me!” Massu shouted while putting his hand up as if he were in class and rushed inside to put on his swimming trunks.
“I want to swim too!” Tegoshi said while rushing after Massu to put on his swimming trunks as well.
“Well if everybody is going to swim I might as well!” Shige said as he scurried inside to get his things.
Ryo just laughed at how Christine looked as she was trying to impersonate a dolphin.
“What are you doing?” Yamapi asked while looking at Christine and crossing his hands in annoyance.
Christine looked up at him and wiped away the stray hairs which were on her face. She pouted and said, “I’m having fun…” she bit her tongue and kept herself from saying anything unnecessary.
Koyama sighed and said, “I have got another four hours until I have to leave for my first photo shoot so think I’m going to take a dip as well. Are you guys coming?”
Ryo nodded and suddenly Massu ran out through the sliding glass door while impersonating an Indian. He had a rubber ring around his tummy, a pair of goggles on his head, rubbers on each hand and flippers in his feet.
At the sight of him Christine giggled and Ryo said, “What the hell Massu? It’s not like we are going to search for the lost city of Atlantis!”
Yamapi chuckled while Massu pouted, then a smile appeared on his lips. “Well…I guess I want to be able to see better underwater if you know what I mean…” he whispered while arching his eyebrows up and down.
Ryo gasped and grabbed onto his rubber ring, nearly sending Massu off balance. “Oh no you don’t!” he said.
Christine swam towards the side where the boys were and said, “There is nothing to see baka…I’m wearing a shirt…see?”
Surely enough on top of her bathing suit she was wearing a red shirt. Ryo looked at her and then let go of Massu, who stumbled forwards and tried to regain his balance by carrying out an impressive ballet move.
Just then Tegoshi and Shige appeared into the garden, each wearing swimming trunks. Tegoshi was carrying a huge blown up whale and was finding it difficult to walk properly without tripping. Shige had on a bright smile as he surveyed the scene in front of him. He licked his index finger and put it up in the air. “Perfect…” he said as he felt a hot breeze swishing by.
Shige took a couple of steps back and then broke out into a run towards the water. He took a deep breath and yelled, “BANZAI!” he jumped up over Christine’s head and landed a few centimetres behind her, sending off a huge splash of water, which soaked, the already wet girl and also a very not impressed Ryo.
Shige came up for air and gasped, with a grin on his face said, “That felt good!”
Tegoshi threw the whale in the water and jumped in after it. While Massu flip flopped carefully towards the stairs and was making his way painstakingly slow to the pool. According to Ryo it was way too slow so he ‘helped’ him to meet the water sooner.
Massu let out a squeal of alarm as he felt himself behind hurled towards the water.
Christine started laughing and said, “You are so mean Ryo…come on jump in!”
Ryo grinned and looked at his already wet clothes. He shrugged and said, “What the hell…I’m already wet anyways.” He backed away a little and jumped inside the pool fully clothed.
Christine looked away while giggling just as Ryo splashed water all over her. She was laughing and then she looked up at Yamapi, who was watching everything from the sidelines. She grinned and said, “Ne why don’t you join us?” When he didn’t answer her Christine smiled and said, “Ne it’s ok if you don’t know how to swim...the water isn’t deep over here...”
Yamapi frowned deeper and said, “I don't feel like swimming...”
“Uh fine...” Christine said while shrugging and turned around and swam next to Massu.
Massu started splashing water all over the place while laughing out loud. “Stop it!” Christine yelled while closing her eyes tightly and splashing water around blindly with a grin on her face. Koyama ran out towards the pool and threw himself in. Yamapi frowned as he felt like the odd one out while watching his band mates laughing and splashing around.
“Neee Pi! Come in! Join us!” Tegoshi called with a grin as he motioned for his beloved leader to go and swim with them.
Massu was blowing water out of his pipe, Koyama was wrestling Shige, Christine and Ryo were going underwater making funny faces at each other.
Yamapi pouted slightly and said, “Uh...well ok...if you are asking me so badly...” He walked over to the pool and took his shirt off, jumping in with his jeans on.
Tegoshi laughed after seeing his leader jumping in and joining them. Yamapi laughed as well as he started to splash water at the younger boy. Suddenly Christine came out from underneath the water with a loud gasp.
“What happened?” Massu asked.
“OH NO! MY HAIR!” she said while putting her hands on her wet head.
“Huh?” Shige uttered, after pushing Koyama underneath the water.
“I shouldn’t have wet my hair...” she mumbled while pouting and touching her index fingers together.
“It’s ok...” Ryo said while patting her head and a smile on his face.
“Yeah it won’t fall off...” Yamapi added with a grin.
Christine narrowed her eyes at him and was about to defend herself when she stopped and said, “So that’s why the water suddenly turned ice cold...it’s because of you...”
“Idiot...” Yamapi said while pouting.
“Why were you so worried about getting your hair wet anyways?” Tegoshi asked while paddling towards Christine.
Christine sighed and said, “Nothing...it’s just that...let’s just say that it’s gonna look slightly different when it’s dry...”
“Oh...” Tegoshi said while keeping his mouth in the form of an ‘O’.
Shige got up and walked slowly over the end of the pool. He looked up and grinned a mischievous grin.
“Oh shit!” Ryo shouted as he swam hurriedly over to the opposite end of the pool, followed by all the other members. “Retreat!”
“What’s going on?” Christine asked as she looked at Shige, who had taken a step back, and then at the five members swimming frantically at the opposite end of the pool.
“Get back Chri-chan! Shige is going to jump!!” Tegoshi shouted a little frightened.
Let us explain a bit why the boys are behaving this way...Shige loved to jump into the pool...he loved to jump so much that whenever he jumped he tended to land on one of the members, resulting in a series of injuries...including black eyes, pulled muscles, bruises and cuts...
Christine looked back at Shige as he ran towards the pool and jumped. It all happened in slow motion. She saw him running slowly towards the edge of the pool, bend his legs and lift himself up in the air in a sitting position...he had jumped so high that he was slowly advancing towards her in mid air.
“Oh shi-” she uttered but her sentence was cut short when she felt herself being pulled and slightly going underwater. Shige landed with a big splash, causing miniature waves inside the pool.
Christine gasped and looked back at her saviour. Koyama was grinning at her and nodding his head. “That was close.” He said while letting go of her hand.
Christine gulped and wiped away the chlorine water from her eyes and stared at Koyama. She threw her hands around his neck and shouted, “My saviour!” And then she turned to look at Shige who was laughing madly. She narrowed her eyes and said, “You...are so going to pay...”
“Oh yeah what you going to do?” Shige asked while grinning and swimming closer to her.
Christine put her hand up in the air and said, “I shall take revenge on you oh little one!”
Shige chuckled and threw his head back. “Try...” he said while raising an eyebrow. Nobody splashed as much water as him.
“I don’t like where this is going...” Massu whispered.
“Yeah...what the hell are you going to do?” Yamapi asked when he saw Christine go up out of the pool and start walking towards the spot Shige was sitting at before.
Christine stopped and grabbed the hem of her red shirt, which clung to her body. She flipped it away so that it wouldn’t stick to her wet skin and said, “I’m going to jump...”
“I would like to swim after you jump please...I don't want the pool to be empty.” Yamapi said while the corners of his lips tilted upwards.
She put her hands on her hips and said, “Hah! I don’t care! As long as I prove my point!”
“Do you think she will make it?” Ryo asked while looking at the other members.
“Hmmm...I think she will.” Tegoshi said in a serious voice.
“I think she will as well...” Massu added while nodding his head.
“I think she flops!” Yamapi said while crossing his hands and grinning, anticipating the moment.
Ryo snickered and said, “I think so too...”
“Minna! [Everyone!]” Christine called out...always wanting to put on a show. “You shall now witness a great jump orchestrated by the one and only...Christine-sama!!!” Christine said in an Mc voice. She put her hands up in the air as she narrowed her eyes and looked at Shige.
Ok Chri...you can do this...hahaha show this Japanese boy how much you swim back home...come on...just a little jump... she thought to herself as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath and started running. As she was about to jump from the edge her left foot slipped, causing her to belly flop straight onto the water. As her belly hit the water first there was a loud snap.
All the boys gasped when they heard that horrible sound indicating pain...
As soon as she hit the water she gasped and shouted while she was under water, releasing all her emotions... some of the words she said:
ITAI!!!!
OH GOD!!!
That was so embarrassing!!!
F*CK!
“Ouch...” Ryo said while closing one eye and turning his head away.
“Uh...guys...” Tegoshi said looking slightly worried.
“How long is she taking to come up?” Yamapi suddenly said.
“Oh shit!” Shige shouted as he started to swim towards her, since he was the closest.
Just then Christine’s head appeared out of the water. She frowned and in a soft voice said, “fine...you won...”
Shige stopped and started laughing at her...soon joined by the others.
“You looked so graceful falling like that!” Shige said while holding his stomach and trying not to end up underwater.
“That’s not funny...” she said through gritted teeth as she saw the others laughing as well. She was on the last step out of the pool when someone grabbed her arm. It was Shige.
“Ok fine you didn't look graceful but you are actually kind of sweet.” He said giving her the usual grin, which melted every girl’s heart...well almost.
Christine smiled sweetly back and turned to fully face him. He was standing on the step below her and she leaned forwards, causing the other boys to widen their eyes in surprise. “There is nothing sweet about me...” she whispered in his ear and then she looked back at him and pushed him back into the pool.
