“Hey hows the new girl?.. Name was Ella right? .. Wow. She so.. so—“ Calvin said as he was eating his sushi with Chun in the cafeteria.
“Beautiful? Right” Chun said cutting off Calvin.
Man I’ve heard this soooo many times. He thought getting annoyed at her.
Chun was eating some delicious Udon when someone stood right over him which caused Calvin to stop talking which was odd.
As Calvin was always talking or joking.
Even if it was about nothing.
However when Chun looked up he realised why.
It was Ella standing over him carrying a sandwich and a juice pop.
Chun was in shock until she spoke.
“Uh.. Can I sit here. I don’t know anyone .. – and and.. –“ Ella started looking shyly at her sandwich.
‘slurrrrrrrrrrrrrrp..’ Went Chun’s Udon which slithered quickly into his mouth which sprayed the soup all over his shirt but he ignored it.
Calvin then straighten up and moved over quickly and patted down a seat for her immediately.
“OH YES.. Here here here SIT HERE!” Calvin spoke loudly while looking around him at his school mates, winking and showing off that he was sitting with the girl who was now the most popular girl.
All the girls turned around to their table and groaned as they wanted her to join their cliques.
“CHUN.. I didn’t know you know her…” Calvin spoke quickly and nudge and winked him playfully.
Oh godd.. he’s going to try and hit on her… Chun thought quickly.
“He babysits my little brother.. He was over last night.” She said joyfully except it caused Chun to slap his hand over his eyes waiting for Calvin’s outburst and lame jokes.
“BABYSITS?? BUT YOU’RE A GUY!! ..?? WAIT WAIT.. YOU WERE OVER HER HOUSE.. HER HOUSE????WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME? MAN .. and I thought we were best friends…” Calvin screamed nearly falling out of his seat.
Chun wanted to bury his face in his Udon and never come out.
It wasn’t like he was going to starve anyways.
Why did she have to say it. .omg whyy.. Chun screamed in his head.
“Hehe..So? .. your Calvin aren’t you.. ?” Ella asked him with a smile that nearly made Chun melt, but he averted his eyes as he realised her smile made him lose concentration not to mention dizziness.
“Oh . Babysit.. hahaa what ? Yes.. I am.. Best friend to this Babysitting loser and everyone!” Calvin said proudly, happy to know she knew him.
“How did you know.. Why you interested? ..hehe” Calvin spoke quickly with a smirk and a wink.
“Hahahaha. Your not bad .. but um…. Um.” Ella said and didn’t really want to hurt Calvin.
“Basically she means No Calvin .. hahaha” Chun laughed at Calvin’s face as his face fell but smiled happily again.
“Don’t worry.. I’ll work on it.. By the end. I’ll have you here with me in these big guns !” Calvin said with a pound of his chest and a flex of his arm.
Ella and Chun both looked at each other and laughed hysterically at Calvin’s expression.
“Hey I’m being serious.. aye. .aye..” Calvin said amidst that laughter Although he soon realised he was too late.
Calvin had many girlfriends before, whether it is a one night stand or steady girlfriend.
He recognised that look that Ella had in her eyes as she looked at Chun.
After that day, Ella had finally joined their group.
Happily laughing and joking with Calvin and sharing knowledge with the genius Chun.
But Ella and Chun’s friendship went beyond their school work as Chun babysitter her little brother.
Which they had more time to spend with each other.

“You suck.. Who are you going out with now Calvin??” Ella asked cheerfully, expecting to get 2 or 3 answers.
“bleh.. no-one. Its so sad. Ever since you came.. Everyone kind of downgraded in hotness in my radar you could say. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME HERE FOR????” Calvin yelled shaking Ella’s shoulder in a mischievous way and rested his head on her shoulder.
“HAHHAHAHA .. Its okay.. Relax.. you’ll find someone..” Ella said with a smile laughing and patting his back.
“Hey how about that pretty girl that’s coming towards us??? ..” Ella said pointing to a small skinny girl with long hair and a cute face.
Calvin and Chun looked up to see who she was pointing at.
“OoOoo Hi miss..” Calvin walked up slowly punching his fist together and a flick of his fringe.
With the lick of his soft lips he tried to seduce the young girl.
However their eyes never met. And she swished straight past Calvin.
His mouth turned into an O as she walked right past him and he turned around with his arms up in the air.
His massive ego now fallen like a tone of bricks.
Frustrated. But even more frustrated as he watched her slowly walking up to his best friend, Chun Wu.
Chun with his eyes wide open, was sitting on the bench with his textbook out doing some last minute homework as the stranger sat down next to him.
“Hi I’m Angela.. I was um.. er.. Wondering . Do you want to go out sometime…I have these tickets to the Science Fair. Do you wanna come?” Angela spoke slowly looking deep into Chun’s eyes.
He looked down at her shiny lipgloss, hypnotised as her lips moved up and down.
Ella looked away, not believing her ears or her eyes. Last of all her heart.
Whhat?? did I hear right?? .. She’s asking me out what? ..
Shes actually quite pretty.. Just the kind that Calvin likes.. I’m not Calvin though.. So why me? I have no experience...He thought as he gulped hard not sure what to say.
He pushed his dark glasses back up upon his nose as his forehead started sweating.
Angela looked at him waiting patiently for his answer while Chun looked from Ella to Calvin and Calvin to Ella for help.
Calvin just stared attentively at Ella admiring her smooth legs and body with misty eyes, while Ella was looking away in the distance, obviously annoyed.
What am I going to say what am I doing?? ..Shes cute..Come on.. Just try it Chun? Its not like you can really say who you really like anyway… come on Chun, this will be your first girlfriend.. Its not like she notices you..Shes too hot for you. She deserves better than you. Its just not realistic.
Chun thought, running things over his head as he stuttered his answer.
“oh-oh -ohkay.” Chun nodded.
This caused Angela to jump up happily, smiling madly at him.
“Okay. Here's my number call me!!” Angela whipped out a piece of paper with some numbers on it and skipped away like a little girl.
“UH.. What was that about??” Ella asked quickly as she stood in front of Chun with her hands at her hips.
“Ooo My man.. Chunnniee, you had an admirer and now a date OoooOo.. Aww my little man is all grown up!!!” Calvin spoke gleefully while punching his arms.
Calvin thought now that if Chun was taken maybe Ella would look at him the same way she looks at him.
Chun just sat there baffled at just what happened.
IT just happened so fast.
He tore off his glasses, rubbing his eyes, hoping to rub away that fake dream…
Then he looked up at Ella eager to see her response.
But she had walked away.
