Instead I paid Junsu to pack my things for me which I was still having second thoughts on while my ear was pressed against Linzi's bedroom door.
"What are you doing?"
I jumped and spun around to see Nona stood there with her arms folded.
I circled my foot on the floor.
"Nothing"
"Oh really, because from where I'm standing it looks like your eavesdropping on Linzi and Boa"
I frowned.
"Wouldn't you be doing the same thing in my position?" I asked.
I had been caught so what was the point in denying it?
"That's besides the point but you should know Linzi is stronger than she looks, She can take care of herself" Nona said as I rolled my eyes.
"Don't you think I know that? I'm eavesdropping just incase Linzi takes care of herself a little too well, I don't want my girlfriend getting life in prison for murder" I said as Nona smiled.
"Awww you really do care about her don't you" She laughed.
She might find this funny but I however did not.
Suddenly the bedroom door infront of me opened and Linzi and Boa were both looking at me questioningly.
"Uh Hi" I smiled backing away slightly as Nona began laughing.
I'd been caught twice in less than 2 minutes.
"Jaejoong, were you listening in on our conversation?" Linzi asked as I smiled at her.
"Of course not, How could you think such a thing?" I asked.
"Maybe because you were" Nona laughed as I frowned and looked to the floor in shame.
I heard Boa and Linzi laugh.
Together!
I looked up as Linzi walked forward and kissed my cheek.
"Linzi, you're gonna have your hands full with him as your boyfriend. I can tell you that now" Boa smiled as Linzi pulled away from me and turned to Boa.
"I know but I like a challenge" Linzi grinned up at me.
They were talking to each other and in a nice way.
What had I missed during the minutes I had been on the other side of the door.
And who's idea was it to get sound proof doors?!
Boa laughed and suddenly took me by surprise and hugged Linzi.
Linzi surprising me even more returned the hug.
And then they pulled away without either one of them being in a headlock!
What is the world coming to?!
"Well, I better get going. I'll see you sometime soon I hope" Boa smiled to Linzi as she nodded in approval.
"And Jae, I'll see you in a few weeks when I go to Japan" Boa grinned.
"Don’t forget our promise" Linzi said as Boa grinned.
"The chance to kick Jae's butt, I wouldn't dream of it. I'll see myself out. Bye" She smiled waving and leaving.
A minute later we heard the front door open and close signaling Boa had left the building.
"What promise?" I wasted no time asking as Linzi smiled.
"Secret"
"We're a couple. We're not supposed to keep secrets from each other" I pouted as Linzi laughed.
"Okay, Boa promised that when she gets to Japan and if she thinks you've been unfaithful during your time there then she'll kick your butt for me and remind you that you have me" She said as I rolled my eyes.
"Like I would ever be unfaithful. I'm too crazy about you" I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her neck.
"Dude, I'm still here" Nona compained as I smirked.
"Then turn around if you don't want to see anything"
Nona shook her head, turned on her heal and walked out of the hallway and back into the front room where everyone was still packing.
The next morning I was woken up by Yunho.
Since we had an early flight to catch he had gone into leader mode.
We had to be at the airport by 5am and be on the plane at 6am.
I rolled out of bed slowly.
Usually I felt like crap anyway getting woken up at this time of the morning but the fact that I would be seperated from Linzi playing on my mind made me feel even more crappy.
I pulled on some loose jeans and a black wife beater after doing my morning routine.
After fixing my hair and pulled a beanie over it and walked out into the living room where all our bags were left after packing last night.
I walked into the kitchen to find Linzi sat at the table by herself at the kitchen table in her night gown and fuzzy slippers.
I looked around and noticed nobody was in sight.
I slowly walked over to her and ruffled the top of her hair.
She flinched away and then noticed it was me.
"Jae" She said in accusing voice straightening out her hair not that it made a huge difference.
She still had bed hair.
"What's up?" I asked sitting across from her at the table.
"The ceiling?" She asked avoiding eye contact.
I bit my lower lip.
She was doing it.
She had been too happy in the past week for me not to notice.
She had been holding all her negative emotions in and now the day had come to be seperated she couldn't help but show how upset she really was.
I stood up and walked to her side.
She looked to the floor as I pulled her into a hug.
Her head rested against the upper part of my stomach.
I took a deep breath feelings the wetness of her tears soak through my shirt.
I ran my fingers down her hair when Changmin walked into the kitchen with Nona close behind who had slept once again.
They both froze in their tracks when they saw me and Linzi.
Changmin, instead of looking angry like I thought he would be, looking hurt.
Like seeing his sister like this hurt him more than anything else in the world.
He took a step forward and bit his lip, probably wondering what the hell he could do.
Nona shook her head.
"Don't leave a man to do a womans job" She muttered under her breath and stolled over to where I stood.
She pulled me away and crouched down to Linzi's sitting height.
"Linzi, it's gonna be okay" She said as Linzi looked up and for the first time I realized how much this was getting to her.
The tears that fell from her eyes made me want to cry myself.
"How can you say that?" She mumbled as Nona forced a soft smile on her face.
"Because Changmin is leaving me to but I know he's gonna come back for me and 'he' will come back for you too. We just gotta wish them the best and wait for them okay?" Nona asked not really clarifying who that certain 'he' was?
Was it me or Changmin?
Linzi wrapped her arms around Nona and hugged her tightly.
Nona let out a small laugh.
"Yah, we shouldn't cry or it'll make the guys feel bad and we don't want them to leave for Japan all upset because of us, right?"
Linzi nodded her head and pulled away, wiping the last of her tears away and put on a brave smile.
I smiled slightly.
"What time is your Manager coming to pick you guys up?" Linzi asked when the doorbell rang.
"That'll be him now" Changmin said through gritted teeth.
"Well then, let him in. We don't have all day" Linzi said as Changmin nodded and walked out of the kitchen to answer the door.
