Chapter 7

First Day

The next day I woke up to the sound of the apartment door being slammed shut.

Doesn’t anyone in this place know the meaning of silence?.

I rolled my eyes sitting up in bed.

Suddenly I realized.

There was only two people who would be leaving this early in the morning.

Linzi and Junsu!.

But I hadn't even made Linzi's lunch yet and she couldn't go to school without and proper lunch because she needs food for energy and without energy she'll suffer in class and if she suffers in class the teacher will get in contact with Changmin and if the teacher gets in contact with Changmin he'll blame me!.

I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen accidently slipping on the tiled floor and landing face flat on the floor.

"Dude, what are you doing?" Junsu asked sitting at the table with Linzi sat next to him.

I sat up and looked at them both.

"Didn't you two leave?" I asked as Linzi shook her head cluelessly.

"B-But I heard the door slam shut" I stuttered.

"Oh did that wake you, I told Junsu to be quiet but he didn't listen like usual. Junsu just went out to get the mail from the mail box" Linzi explained as I nodded slowly.
Well this is the first time I've ever made a fool of myself this early in the morning.

"So, are we ready to go?" Junsu asked standing up from the table.

"Uh…Jaejoong. Do you wanna come along?" Linzi asked looking down at me as I still sat there on the floor.

"I have to make you your lunch" I said as Linzi smiled and nodded.

"Ok, we'll wait but you might want to get changed first" Linzi smiled as I looked down to see I was only in my boxers.

I quickly shot up and ran out of the kitchen to put some clothes on.

I didn't need a mirror to know I was blushing.

Why did she have that effect on me and yet she seemed so calm about it.

Once I was fully clothed and finally finished making Linzi lunch for school Linzi, Junsu and I began to walk to the local school Changmin had enrolled Linzi in.

Of course myself and Junsu were wearing our usual disguises.

Beanie hats, sun glasses and the occasional scarf.

Linzi however just wore her school uniform.

As we walked to school I noticed she was a bit quieter than usual.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked nudging her in the side.

She looked up at me and smiled showing her brace-less teeth.

"Yeah, just a bit nervous" Linzi nodded as I smiled.

"Hey, if anyone gives you a hard time or something just tell them that you're living with us or something. They'll probably instantly stop if they know we know you" Junsu adviced when Linzi shook her head.

"I don't like doing that" She said as Junsu and even I looked at her questioningly.

"Even at my old school I never told them who my brother was. I didn't want people to like me just because who I know and who I'm related to. I want them to like me for me" Linzi explained as I nodded slowly.

It kinda made sence.

Linzi wanted friends who were true to her and not fake friends who used her to try get close to us.

"Then just be yourself and I'm sure you'll meet some good friends" I smiled patting her on the sholder as she smiled and nodded in agreement.

When we finally reached the gates of the school I looked down at Linzi to see her let out a long low sigh.

"It's big" She commented looking up at the building infront of us.

"Yeah, bigger than I thought it would be" Junsu said also looking a bit amazed by the size of the school.

"So, are you ready?" I asked as Linzi smiled and nodded.

"I guess it's now or never" She said standing still.

After a few seconds of her not moving from the spot she was stood in I let out an intentional cough.

"You know, you actually have to walk to get in the school" I adviced as Linzi nodded.

"I just need a little push in the right direction" Linzi sighed as Junsu suddenly pushed her.

The next thing I knew Linzi was spread eagled on the floor infront of me and Junsu.

"Not that hard idiot" I hissed as some teenagers wearing the same uniform as Linzi looked and sniggered.

I helped her up as Linzi blushed in embarrasment.

"Junsu" She hissed.

"Sorry, my bad" He said in a guilty tone.

"Here" I said handing Linzi her lunch.

"Thanks" She said suddenly giving me a hug.

I froze.

It was no secret that Linzi gives a lot of people hugs and she had hugged me before but she still managed to take my breath away when she did it.

"I'll see you guys later, wish me luck" Linzi smiled hugging Junsu and then walking through the big metal gates of the school.

"Do you think she'll be ok?" Junsu asked once Linzi entered the school.

"Yeah, she's a nice person so she'll have no problem making friends".

"Then let's go, we've got an interview recording today and we can't miss it or Yunho will throw a fit" Junsu rolled his eyes turning away.

I looked at the gates once more that Linzi had just walked through then followed Junsu walking back to the apartment.

The rest of the day I was on cloud 9.

Linzi had hugged me.

I just couldn't get it out of my mind all day and I couldn't help but replay it in my head over and over again.

Even during the interview I kept fazing out because of my day dreaming.

Luckily I was sat next to Yunho who seemed to notice everytime I went into my own world and thankfully give me a hard nudge to snap me out of it.

Once the interview was finally over we went back to the appartment.

I hated interviews because if we didn't say something right we had to do the same thing over and over again until we got it right and Junsu tends to make a lot of mistakes.

Changmin however didn't go back with us.

He went straight to the school to pick Linzi up having forgot about the whole uniform thing.

I for one was not willing to remind him of it.

While I was making dinner after we arrived back at the appartment Linzi and Changmin got back half an hour later.

Of course I didn't know until Linzi came stomping through the kitchen to get a glass of orange juice.

"Why won't you tell me?!" Changmin shouted storming into the kitchen after her as Linzi suddenly let out a grunt of annoyance.

"Because I don't want to, I'm just saying I'm not going back there and you can’t make me!" She shouted at Changmin.

Wow.

Usually when she and Changmin were arguing she just tended to snap at him but it was rare for her to actually shout at him like that.

Something must have really pissed her off.

I turned around to see Changmin glaring at Linzi as she gulped down the glass of juice.

"I can't fix it unless you tell me what happened!" Changmin snapped once Linzi was finished drinking.

"Don't you get it. It isn't fixable. I know you're the great Shim Changmin but you can't fix this. I'm just not going back there so why don't you just leave it!" She snapped back.

"You are going back weither you like it or not" Changmin pointed his index finger at Linzi as she shook her head.

"I'm not and you can't make me. I want to go home!" Linzi shouted and stormed out of the kitchen.

A few seconds later we both heard one of the bedroom doors slam shut.

"That girl is going to drive me into an early grave"Changmin hissed to no one imperticular.

"Maybe I should go talk to her, it seems like she doesn’t want to talk to you so maybe I can find out what's wrong with her" I suggested as Changmin looked at me and nodded.

"Thanks Jae" Changmin said as I nodded.

"Just keep an eye on the food and try not eat it" I rolled my eyes taking off my apron and walking out of the kitchen towards Linzi's bedroom.
