Jessica: “Lei, I know you don’t love me. There is no point of being with me.”
“Sorry.” Lei admmits softly
Jessica: “It’s her isint it? It has been San Cai all along, right?”
Lei’s sorroful eyes gave away as he answered in a small nod.
Jessica: “Then what are you still waiting for?”
Lei: “She rejected my love.”
Jessica’s eyes widened: “Really? I thought no one can resist Hua Ze Lei.”
Lei smiled slightly at her comment: “I’ll wait forever though.”
Jessica: “I guess I just had a crush on you. Thanks for telling me your true feelings.”
“I wish I can help you somehow…” she replied sincerely
Jessica stuck a hand out: “Friends?”
Lei smiled and shook it: “Friends.”
~BACK AT THE PARTY~
Lei and Jessica had canceled their engagment and are still good friends. They walked happily back to the party, Lei spotted San Cai again.
Lei: “I’m sorry for leaving you like that before.”
San Cai looked up to see who the voice belonged to: “It’s ok.” She lied
Lei: “May I have a dance with you?”
San Cai shook her head: “I…I am uh too tired.”
Lei’s heart broke to hear her regect him…again. Even if this was just a dance. San Cai avoided Lei’s sorrowful eyes because she didn’t want to give in. She felt so bad for regecting his offer, but he was the one who left her in the first place.
~JAPAN~
The next day, Lei and Jessica flew back to Japan. Lei has gone back to working in his company, when Jessica came in for a visit.
Jessica: “Lei, I have a plan to help you get San Cai back.”
Lei shook his head: “She was never mine to start with.”
Jessica: “Lei! You still owe me a favor for agreeing to cancel our engagment. So please go along with my plan.”
Lei: “I told you I hated stupid tricks and plans stuff.”
“Arent you willing to do whatever to get her back?” Jessica asked
Lei: “I want her, but I also want her to be happy.”
Jessica: “How do you know she cant be happy with you?”
Lei: “Being happy is only found from your true love.”
Jessica: “How do you know you are not her true love?”
Lei: “She said so herself.”
Jessica: “How do you know her heart hasint changed since then?”
Lei: “You are getting really annoying with all these questions.”
Jessica: “But I’m only trying to help. If you don’t want me to, then let’s go back on the engagment, I still like you a lot you know.”
Lei looked at her: “Jessica…”
Jessica quickly recovered: “I uh was just um kidding.”
Lei sighed: “Fine, since you have your heart set on helping me.”
Jessica: “Yay! Ok, here’s what to do…”

Jessica had booked a flight ticket to Japan for San Cai. But San Cai knew nothing of it. Her boss Nick (who had got beaten up badly by Xi Men) was paid by Jessica to send her to Japan for a week. Nick wasint the knid of people who wanted money and is greedy. San Cai was like his sister, he wanted her to be happy too.
~TAI WAN~
Nick: “San Cai, you are going to Japan tomorrow. I’ve already booked your flight.”
San Cai groaned: “Why Japan? Why do I always have to trvel so much?”
Nick: “Please…you are my most trusted and beautiful model.”
San Cai rolled her eyes: “Oh please, compliments don’t work on me.”
Nick: “You have to do this for me.”
San Cai: “Fine, I will. Why am I so nice to my boss?”
Nick raised a teasing eyebrow: “You’re nice to me?”
“Uh…maybe sometimes.” San Cai chuckled
San Cai: “So, what am I doing in Japan?”
Nick: “One company wants you to help them in a commercial.”
San Cai: “This is new…a commercial?”
Nick: “Yup.”
San Cai’s POV: Lei…he is in Japan. What will I do if I meet him? No, I wont. I cant think that, I cant meet him, I don’t want to…do I?
~JAPAN~
San Cai arrived in Japan the following day she still doesn’t know which company wanted her. They stayed unknown. She recived a call that a car was going to pick her up at five.
San Cai went downstairs of her hotel and sure enough there was a car waiting for her. The car drove her to a huge company and she got out. Not sure of what to do, she went inside and told the secretary that she was here for a commercial.
Secretary: “Oh, that, I’ll show you to the room.”
San Cai bowed her head gratefully and followed her, they stopped in front of a room, the secretary opened the door for her and left.
San Cai peered cautiously into the room: “Hello, is anyone here?”
San Cai saw two figures, a girl and a boy. Hua Ze Le and Jessica.
“Hua Ze Lei?” she asked
Lei: “Welcome, San Cai.”
“Welcome? This is your company?” San Cai asked
Jessica: “Yup, and I was the one who hired you for the commercial.”
San Cai: “Jessica?”
Jessica: “Surprised to see me here? I’m Lei’s personal assisant.”
San Cai felt a lump form on her throat: “Um…ok.” Jealousy got the best of her as she thought of what they both did in here besides office work.
Lei had an amused smile on to see her reaction. So she was jealous…Jessica was right after all…but he didn’t know if she really loved him.
San Cai: “So, when do I start working on the commercial?”
Jessica: “Tomorrow, today I just want to give you a tour of Lei’s company and then I’ll give you a tour of Japan.”
San Cai: “No it’s ok, I don’t want to bother you two. Lei already gave me a tour of Japan the last time I came here.” San Cai left quickly not wanting Lei to see her jealousy and her pained heart.
~AFTER SAN CAI LEFT~
Jessica turned to Lei: “Told ya she was jealous.”
Lei shrugged: “So, doesn’t mean she loves me.”
Jessica: “Give it a little more time, soon Lei, soon.”
Lei: “Why are you doing all of this?”
Jessica: “Remember when you said that if you truly love someone, you just want them to be happy? Well I want you to be happy.”
Lei: “You’ll find someone that deserves you one day Jess…you will.”
Lei's POV: I'm really sorry Jessica. I really am, but I cant love you...San Cai is the only one for me. I've never loved someone so deep before. Not even Jing. Was I happy when I saw her jealous? Was San Cai really jealous of us? What does that prove? She already said she loved Ah Si. Her love her him is like my love for hers. But I am willing to wait. God, you dont know how much I regret letting her go, giving her up. I wish...I wish she saved her heart for me...even if it's just a little bit.
