Jessica: “This is the big plan now, you better not mess it up.”
Lei groaned: “Do we have to do this?”
Jessica: “Yes. Now listen…” she whispered the plan to him and explained everything.
Lei grinned: “Is this your excuse just to kiss me?”
Jessica: “Whatever you say Lei.”
~SAN CAI WALKS IN~
San Cai knocks on the door and no one answered her. “Am I suppose to come to Lei’s office? Jessica didn’t tell me where to meet her.” She thought
The door was unlocked so San Cai decided to walk in…San Cai’s face paled and her heart shattered as she witnessed the scene before her.
Jessica was sitting ontop of Lei’s lap, her hands were on his chest. Lei’s shirt was unbuttoned all the way, his hands rested on Jessica’s waist. They were lip to lip, Jessica initiating everything. From San Cai’s view, which was Jessica’s back faced her, from her view, they were both kissing passionately.
San Cai felt tears flood in her eyes threatening any moment to spill: “I…I’m sorry to disturb you two.”
With that, she fled. She ran out of there as fast as she can. She didn’t care about the commercial anymore, or how many people were staring at her. She just ran wherever her legs took her.
San Cai’s POV: I chose DMS. I rejected Lei. But why does my heart hurt so much when I saw another woman in his arms? I know sooner or later that they were going to get married, but I didn’t want to see them…doing that. It was just like when I disturbed Jing and Lei last time. Why do I always have to walk in when Lei is kissing someone?! Because I feel so painful, my heart is broken, I think I love him…I think I love Lei. But I realized it too late.
San Cai was crying in a garden in Japan, she had no idea how she got there, but she sat down and cried softly.
“San Cai, what’s the matter?” a soft voice asked
San Cai lifted a tear stained but still beautiful face: “Lei?”
Lei was standing and he looked down at her, his heart broke to see her crying like this. But he didn’t know if he was glad that he made her jealous, but he didn’t want her to break down crying like that.
Lei sat down next to her and looked concerned: “Why are you crying?”
“None of your buisness.” San Cai whispered coldly
Lei sat besides her staring into the sky and didn’t say anything for a while. But then he finally turned to her: “Are you jealous?”
San Cai: “Why should I be jealous? Of what?”
Lei knew that she was dead jealous seeing her like this and hearing the tone of her voice: “You saw me and Jessica….”
San Cai: “Yea, it was an accident…”
Lei: “We broke off our engagment, you know.”
San Cai: “Huh? Why? But just before you two were…”
Lei: “I cant bring myself to love her…because my love for one woman has never changed.”
San Cai’s POV: Who is she? Is she me? No it cant be. I am only a friend. Is it Jing?
San Cai wiped her tears away and looked into Lei’s handsome eyes: “Lei, I’ve decided…and I don’t want you to be my guardian angel anymore…”
Lei’s heart shattered when he heard what she said, that was the closest thing he could be to her. Pain and anger crossed his face, he held San Cai’s eye contact, but his eyes were mad and sad.
“Why? What is that suppose to mean?!” He yelled
San Cai: “Lei…”
“Do you know how much I love you?! Why’d you turn away? What does Ah Si have that I don’t?! I gave up everything for you! I love you San Cai, I love you…why cant you accept me?” Lei shouted angrily with tears falling down his face, he doesn’t cry in front of people, but now he was, he was crying in front of the woman who broke his heart…
San Cai reached a hand out and brushed a few strands of loose hair away from Lei’s face and gently wiped his tears away, but Lei brushed her hand away roughly.
“Don’t touch me.” He replied coldly
San Cai: “Lei, you didn’t let me finish, I don’t want you to be my guardian angel, I want you to be something more…I love you, Lei.”
Lei couldn’t believe what he just heard. This was real, he was not dreaming!
Lei’s POV: I love you…those words…I’ve waited to hear them forever from her. She finally said it...
Lei pulled San Cai into a deep hug: “Really? Do you mean it?”
San Cai smiled as she hugged him back tightly: “Yea, I mean it. I’ve wanted to say this for a long time.”
Lei closed his eyes and whispered: “Can you repeated it? Please? I want to hear it again…to make sure I’m not dreaming.”
“I love you…I love you Hua Ze Lei.” San Cai murmured with tears through her eyes
“I…I love you too.” Lei said softly he pulled away from the hug as he lifted her face up to his, they leaned closer and closer for and as their lips touched, they felt a warm sweet sensation through them. With their desires and emotions released, they moved closer to each other, Lei stroked San Cai’s hair and San Cai wrapped her hands around his neck, they shared a passionate kiss with lips tightly pressed against each others.
San Cai’s POV: Lei’s lips are so sweet, I think I am going to faint of happiness right in his arms….in his arms…where I belong…now.
Lei’s POV: This is it….the most perfect moment of my life. I have San Cai in my arms, nothing more I can ask for. This is the moment I’ve waited for forever. If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up, I want it to last forever.
Jessica watched them from behind a tree with tears in her eyes. "So this is what love is all about..."she whispered then turned to leave...away from them...away from Lei's life
