“What are you doing here? Didn’t you leave?! Why are you back?!” Xi Men asked angrily
“Listen…” Xiao Gen started
Xi Men: “No! There are no excuses, gone for five years! Five years, Xiao Gen!”
“My brother had heart cancer.” She replied softly
Xi Men’s face softened: “Oh. But you could have left soething, told me, I was your boyfriend.”
Xiao Gen: “Was? Arent you still my boyfriend? You don’t want me anymore?”
Xi Men: “I…I have a girlfriend now.”
“One week right? After one week you’ll dump her and come back to me right? Xi Men?” Xiao Gen begged, her brown eyes glistening with tears
“No…I think I love her.” Xi Men confided
“NO! Tell me you’re lying! That cant be true, you’re my Xi Men, mine! You cant love another girl, you only love me!” Xiao Gen cried
“We…we are the past.” Xi Men mumbled
“Is it my fault? I had to help my brother, he is my only family member, my parents are dead, and….and…he is gone too.” Xiao Gen murmured, tears falling from her eyes
Xi Men’s heart gave away, he felt sorry for her. She had nothing left now…except for him. Should he love her again? Does he still love her? Never forgot her?
Xi Men: “Xiao Gen, I’m sorry.”
He pulled her into his chest and hugged her. Xiao Gen buried her head in his chest and cried: “I don’t want you to be sorry, I want you to love me again…learn to love me again, Xi Men. Please…because I love you.”
“Xiao Gen, I…” Xi Men started
“Shh, just love me Xi Men, is it that difficult to love me?” Xiao Gen asked, she pulled Xi Men’s head towards hers and kissed him softly on the lips. Xi Men felt a warm sensation in his heart, he longed to kiss these lips in his dreams. He waited so long…Xi Men wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her deeply, part drunk and part desired.
“No…no, Xi Men, I hate you!” Xiao You murmured as she sat in a corner watching everything that went on, how Xi Men pulled her to his chest, how he deepened their kiss…how he broke her heart silently inside.
