Lei and San Cai were out on a date and like Xiao You, they were eating spaghetti.
San Cai: “Mmm, this is good.”
Lei smiled at her cute reaction and continued eating his food.
“So, are you going to be in Japan again?” San Cai asked
Lei: “Actually, my dad decided to let me stay in Tai Wan for my share of the work and he is doing his in Japan.”
San Cai sheirked happily: “Really?!”
Lei winced: “Ei, you are going to attract a lot of attention with that voice of yours.”
“I’m so happy for you.” She said again
Lei grinned: “It’d be too dangerous to leave my gorgeous girlfriend alone in Tai Wan.”
San Cai narrowed her eyes: “Ei, is that suppose to be a compliment or what?”
They laughed at each other and went back to eating.
“I remember my date with Ahi Si last time, it so was funny.” San Cai laughed out of the blue
Lei continued eating not making any comment at all.
“His mom canceled all his credit cards as he was trying to pay, the waiter had to try about at least four different cards…” she continued not seeing Lei getting jealous.
“I don’t care what you did on your date with him.” Lei said quietly
San Cai stopped realizing that Lei wasint happy about it: “Sorry.”
Lei didn’t say anything but finished off his food: “Are you ready to go yet?”
San Cai: “Yea, let’s go.”
Lei paid and they walked in silent to his car.
San Cai’s POV: Damn, I shouldn’t have brought up the topic of DMS, I didn’t know he was so sensitive. But I don’t want to ruin our relationship, and I already apologized.
“Lei,” San Cai began
“Don’t worry, I wont get mad over things like that.” He said
“So, do you want to go home now?” Lei asked
San Cai: “Yea.”
“I like it how he always asks for my opinions, filling my needs, DMS is different, he decides everything, there is so much pressure when I’m with him. But how come I always think of him?
San Cai: “Wait, this is for you.”
She handed Lei a sliver object.
Lei took it and looked at it with a happy smile. It was a watch, the shape of a pig’s head, the hands of the watch had small black “Z” signs, to represent someone sleeping. The back of the watch was engraved: “For a special someone who loves to sleep.”
“This is the best present I ever got.” Lei murmured seriously
San Cai rolled her eyes: “Isint that what all guys say when they receive a present from a girl?”
But she was really happy that he loved it.
Lei looked at her: “You’re right, this is the second best present I’ve ever received.”
San Cai felt herself get jealous but struggled not to show it: “What is the first best?”
Lei had an amused smile playing on his lips when he saw her jealous: “You really want to know?”
“Of course just tell me already!” she snapped.
Lei reached out and kissed her: “You.”
“Lei…” San Cai mumbled but was silenced by his demanding but gentle kiss. They kissed for a while then pulled back for air.
San Cai gave Lei a teasing smile: “Somehow I knew you’d say that.”
Lei smiled back: “When I was young, I didn’t know whaat love was, Jing was the only girl I was close to. That was until I met you, I didn’t know my real feelings towards you because my mind was ocupied with Jing but after Ah Si got you…I guess I then realized my mistake. Do you know how much I regretted it?”
San Cai didn’t say anything as she played with her hair, his words has moved her but when he mentioned DMS…
Lei looked at San Cai but seeing she wouldn’t say anything, he stared at his present again.
San Cai’s POV: Damn it, why am I thinking about DMS when I’m with Lei?! I feel so guilty. But somehow, my feelings are mixed up again, I so confused…I need someone to help me. But it cant be Lei this time because he is part of the problem. What am I going to do?!
“Lei.” San Cai said suddenly
Lei turned around to her but instead, he felt a pair of moist lips. He smiled sadly through the kiss and kissed her back.
Lei’s POV: San Cai, I know you are thinking of Ah Si again. I used to see right through you, but how come now I cant tell if you love Ah Si or me. I guess loves does a different thing to us. Until you make you’re decision, I’ll stay by your side…but I want you to know that I love you.
“I love you.” Lei whispered huskily San Cai was about to say something but Lei hushed her, covering his mouth over hers. He didn’t want her to answer, he knew she was unsure right now of her answer and he didn’t want her to lie.
