~LEI AND SAN CAI~
When San Cai came home, Lei was still not home yet. She was worried if anything happened to him and was pacing back and forth in her room. Suddenly, she heard the door to Lei’s room slam…he was home.
~LEI’S ROOM~
San Cai walked in without knocking and saw Lei playing his violin, he was really an expert.
San Cai smiled and sat down on his bed listening to his music.
Lei then stopped: “Do you know that you are disturbing me?”
San Cai was taken aback: “What?”
“You are disturbing me.” He said coldly
“Lei…” she whispered
Lei: “Please go away.”
San Cai’s eyes blurred with tears: “Ok.”
She ran out of the room and flung herself onto her bed and cried.
San Cai’s POV: Lei knows about it! He did see me kiss DMS! Oh no, what will I do…Lei I don’t want to hurt you again, but I guess I already did…I’m so sorry…
~LEI’S PARTY~
The next day, Lei left early trying to avoid San Cai to pick up his cousin from the airport.
San Cai: “Where is Lei?”
Servant: “Shao ye left to the airport already.”
San Cai: “Oh. When is the party starting?”
Servant: “Six at night.”
San Cai: “Thanks, I’m going out first.”
Servant: “Do I need to leave shao ye a message?”
San Cai: “No, it’s ok.”
~XIAO YOU’S~
Xiao You groaned as she heard the door bell ring, who could be looking for her so early in the morning?
San Cai: “Xiao You!”
Xiao You forced a smile: “Hi, what brings you here so early?”
San Cai laughed: “Early? Oh pulease, it’s twelve in the afternoon already.”
Xiao You: “Really?! I slept so long!”
San Cai: “Yea, is Nick still sleeping?”
Xiao You: “Yup, he was really tired from getting home so late last night.”
San Cai: “You stayed at the party really late?”
Xiao You: “No, afterwards we went to…” she shut her mouth just in time
San Cai smiled slyly: “Where’d you go?”
Xiao You blushed remembering what happened last night with her and Xi Men.
Xiao You: “Nothing.”
San Cai: “Fine, I’ll just ask Nick…”
“No!” Xiao almost screamed
San Cai laughed: “Calm down, something must have ahppened right? Why cant you tell me?”
Xiao You: “Alright fine, we went over to Xi Men’s.”
San Cai’s eyes widened: “Xi Men’s?!
Xiao You nodded: “Yea, Nick likes him so much and is like turing into a mini him.”
San Cai: “Whoa, that’s scary.”
Xiao You nodded but she saw San Cai peering suspiciously at her: “Are you sure you’re telling me everything? Details?”
Xiao You turned red: “There is nothing that happened.”
San Cai: “Ok, ok, I wont bother you anymore.”
Xiao You: “Don’t you have to go to work?”
San Cai: “Yea in another hour.”
“Lucky you, get to work so late.” Xiao You commented
San Cai: “Yea, my boss is like trying to make me comfortable with my work.”
Xiao You: “So what brings you here?”
San Cai took a deep breath: “It’s a long story.”
Xiao You saw the sadness in her friend’s eyes and felt pity for her: “Go on, I’m listening, you can tell me anything.”
San Cai smiled gratefully and spilled the whole story.
“San Cai! I cant believe you did that to Lei!” Xiao You said in disbelief
San Cai was crying by now: “I know, and I hate myself for it too. But I’m confused about my love and my feelings. I mean DMS is suddenly just back in my life again…”
Xiao You: “But even so, you should talk it over with Lei, he’ll understand.”
San Cai: “Talk? He is so freakin cold towards me and is always ignoring me.”
“Well I wouldn’t be surprised because if I was him I’d break up with you already.” Xiao You admitted
San Cai: “Ei, are you even trying to help me at all?”
“Auntie San Cai, why are you crying?” Little Nick asked as he rubbed his sleepy eyes
Xiao You: “Nick…you’re up already!”
San Cai: “Nick!”
She quickly dried her tears: “Xiao You, I’m gonna go first.”
“San Cai, feel better ok? Just try talking to Lei.” Xiao You advised
San Cai smiled and nodded: “Thanks, bye Nick.”
Little Nick: “Bye.”
~PARTY~
When San Cai came home, Lei’s cousin and her daughter was already there. Lei and San Cai’s eyes met for a brief moment but then they both looked away.
Lei’s cousin was named Mary and her daughter is named Chloe.
Mary stood up and offered a hand: “Hi I’m Mary, Lei’s cousin.”
San Cai smiled brightly: “Hi, my name is San Cai.”
Mary: “This is my daughter Chloe.”
San caiwaved at the little girl: “Hi Chloe.”
Chloe was not shy at all: “Mommy, I want to grow up to be like her, she is so beautiful.”
San Cai blushed at her comment: “Thanks Chloe.”
Mary smiled: “Chloe is right, you are very beautiful, you must be Lei’s girlfriend.”
Lei and San Cai didn’t say anything but good thing Chloe butted in.
Chloe: “Are you a model?”
San Cai laughed: “I used to be, now I work for cosmetics.”
Chloe: “What are cosmetics?”
San Cai: “Make up.”
Chloe: “Oooh, so you are a make up model? Cool.”
Lei: “Uh, Mary do you want to rest from your jet lag or go to the spa room?”
Mary: “I’ll go to the spa but what about Chloe?”
San Cai: “If you don’t mind, I’ll take her shopping.”
Chloe clapped her hands: “I love shopping!”
San Cai laughed: “Me too, let’s shop for a pretty dress for your party tonight.”
Chloe: “Yes! Can I please go mommy?!”
Mary: “Ok, behave yourself.”
Mary left first for the spa room and left the three of them standing there.
Chloe took her hand in San Cai’s: “Let’s go San Cai jie jie.”
San Cai: “Um, I have to change first.”
Chloe pouted: “You already look so pretty.”
San Cai was wearing a halter dress that flowed down to her mid thighs. It was attractive indded but shopping in that will mean getting attacked by other guys.
Lei: “Just go, it’s not like you havent flirted with other guys before.”
San Cai’s eyes widened with pain: “What is that suppose to mean?”
Chloe: “What does flirting mean?”
San Cai: “Nothing, let’s go Chloe.”
Lei was left to stare at her retreating back as he felt really bad for snapping that comment on her. But then his heart hurt even more when he thought of the scene the other night. How he gave his whole heart to her and she broke it again in the end.
~MALL~
Chloe and San Cai walked into a store for small kids, they were expensive and branded too for rich little kids.
San Cai: “Chloe, what kind of dress do you like?”
Chloe: “I want a very cute dress like the one you are wearing.”
San Cai: “Halter dress?”
Chloe shrugged: “I don’t know what halter means but yea I guess.”
San Cai was a really pretty red halter dress that had white flowers embroidered on it. Chloe’d look awsome in that. San Cai went over and pulled the dress off the rack.
“Chloe, this is your dress.” San Cai exclaimed
Chloe covered her mouth and breathed in disbelief: “Oh my god! It’s beautiful!!”
San Cai winced and covered her ears: “Go try it on.”
Chloe hugged San Cai: “Oh thank you so much!”
San Cai: “No problem.”
Chloe went inside the dressing room and came out wearisng the dress which looked like it was made for her.
San Cai: “Twirl around in the mirror.”
Chloe did and they both grinned at each other happily knowing that it was the perfect dress.
After San Cai purchased it, Chloe and her went into the ice cream polar and rested.
Chloe: “Are you going to look for a dress?”
San Cai shook her head: “I already brought one the other day.”
Chleo then sighed.
San Cai: “What’s the matter?”
Chloe: “I don’t have a boyfriend for the party.”
San Cai burst into laughter at Chloe’s seriously depressed face: “Silly, you don’t need a date for your party.”
Chloe: “Do you have one?”
San Cai paused: “Actually, I don’t.”
Chloe smiled: “Isint uncle Lei your boyfriend?”
San Cai hesitated: “Um…”
Chloe: “You and uncle Lei are perfect for each other like Cinderella and prince charming.”
San Cai laughed: “Thanks.”
“If you call Lei, uncle then shouldn’t you call me auntie?” San cai asked
Chloe knitted her eyebrows: “I don’t know, but I like calling you jie jie, is that ok?”
San Cai: “Of course.”
Chloe: “Do we go home now?”
San Cai: “Do you want to?”
Chloe smiled sheepishly: “No.”
San Cai grinned: “Then let’s shop for your shoes!”
Chloe: “Yay!”
