Xi Men’s POV: Man, what should I say? Sorry? That’ll never work. All this time I was trying to get her back, win her back, but maybe it’s just me who wants to get back. Does she still want me? I cant believe I’m worrying if a girl wants me or not. I’m Xi Men for god’s sake! Girls are the one who should be worried if I like them, not the other way around.
~XIAO YOU’S HOUSE~
Xi Men pressed the doorbell to Xiao You’s house, he heard her yell “I’m coming!” and her footsteps.
“Hey…why are you here?” she asked angrily
Xi Men: “Xiao You listen to me.”
Xiao You closed the door but Xi Men blocked it with his hand: “Please, listen first.”
Xiao You: “Did you come here to insult me again?”
“Does it look like it?” Xi Men whispered softly
Xiao You sighed and let him come in, closing the door after her. Xi Men handed her a bouquet of roses: “This is part of my apology.”
Xiao You took the roses and threw them right into the garbage can: “You can give flowers to your other mei meis, not me.”
Xi Men stayed cooled even though she just threw away his present: “Ok, I’ll remember next time.”
Xiao You: “There is no next time, let’s talk out our problems right here right now.”
Xi Men shrugged: “Ok.”
“I know what you are trying to do, Xi Men. I mean all the flirting, your smooth talk, the kisses….” Xiao You spilled out
Xi Men gave her a sexy smile hoping she’d melt: “Ok, so you know, that’s easier for me.”
Xiao You shook her head: “No it’s not! That is what you want, have you ever considered what I wanted? Ever asked for my opinion?!”
Xi Men stumbled back few steps: “What…”
“Let me go, Xi Men. There are plenty of girls out there wanting and waiting to receive your love…I’m just not one of them.” Xiao You whispered as tears filled her eyes
Xi Men: “Why?”
“Don’t you understand? I’ve spent enough time trying to win your heart, to make you love me, and I’m glad for awhile you did…but you’ve hurt me over and over. I don’t know if I want to go through that again…I cant accept the fact that you cheat on me after all the hard work I’ve done to get you.” Xiao You cried
Xi Men walked over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders: “Just one more chance, I’m begging you…just one.” A tear fell from his eye and onto the ground
Xiao You looked up at him: “I’m sorry.”
Xi Men hugged her: “Don’t say that. Say yes, I want you to say that you love me!”
Xiao You struggled in his grasp feeling herself weakening already: “Don’t do this…”
Xi Men released her but bent down to kiss her. He forced a kiss on her, pressing her lips hard against his and trying to go into her mouth but her lips were clamped shut. Frustrated, Xi Men pushed her away.
Xiao You regained her calmness and began to tell Xi Men something: “I know this sounds silly but I secretly gave you three strikes. I told myself that if you reached all three, you are not the right one for me. And I guess it’s only fair for me to tell you since we are over already. The first strike was the diary you wrote so unforgiving stuff about me in there, then you kissed Xiao You plus lied to me, and the third, you slept with her. Don’t you think you’ve done enough, Xi Men?!”
“It’s not what you think?!” He shouted
Suddenly, Nick walked out of his room rubbing his eyes: “Are you two fighting?”
Xiao You: “Nick please go back into your room.”
Nick giggled not knowing how serious this situation was: “Are you two going to do nasty thing again?”
Xiao You rolled her eyes: “No, that is never going to happen again in this life time, now go back into your room!”
Nick shrugged: “Ok.”
Xi Men stared sadly at Xiao You, what did she mean by “that wont ever happen again?”
“You know what? Your three strikes are stupid. That is not the way to run your love life, you’re suppose to listen to your heart.” Xi Men said loudly
Xiao You laughed: “Really? Well my heart tells me you don’t deserve me! Please go, Xi Men…or else we might not even be able to be friends.”
Xi Men angrily walked out of her house slamming the door behind him.
“I love you. Do you realize how much I love you?! Why are we over just like that? Is there no second chances? Xiao You, you just crushed my hopes, just like that. I changed, there is a reason…and the reason is you.” Xi Men said in his head.
His heart was crushed, broken, wounded. I’d do anything to make you love me again. Anything.
Xi Men drove to VS and got himself drunk, non stopping, drinking bottle after bottle. Drinking was suppose to make you forget your pain, but he still saw her. Her face everywhere, her voice echoing…Xiao You was everywhere.
Xi Men stumbled out of the pub still holding a bottle of beer, he carelessly walked dizzily in the streets. And then a bright light hit him. So bright, it hurt his eyes…and then Xi Men fell to the ground.
