San Cai’s eye lids fluttered open to find herself in Lei’s arms…once again: “Merry Christmas.” She mumbled and kissed him on the cheek.
She tried to pry his arms away so she could get up: “Stay.” He whispered huskily
She giggled: “Get up, lazy pig, we didn’t even explore Canada yet or do our Christmas shopping! We are so behind!”
Lei mumbled something like: “I don’t want to.”
San Cai hit Lei’s head playfully with a pillow but he didn’t budge: “Get up this instant!”
With a heavy sigh, San Cai went to get dressed and brush her teeth. She pulled on an offsleeve tee and a pair of tight black jeans. By the time she came out of the bathroom, she was surprised to find Lei all dressed up already.
She smiled and gave him a kiss on the lips: “You always surprise me.”
Lei: “Yea, you’ll have the biggest surprise tonight.”
San Cai’s eyebrows rose: “Surprise?”
Lei walked past her to use the bathroom: “You’ll see.”
~MALL~
San Cai was shopping with loads of bags in Lei’s hands already but she wasint done.
“Man, are we going to get these in time for our friends?” She asked worriedly
Lei looked at her sarcastically: “No, it’ll take a few weeks to have it delivered.”
San Cai didn’t catch the sarcasm: “Oh you’re right! What am I going to do?!” she moaned
Lei tousled her hair affectionately: “You are so gullible, we can have it sent in one hour.”
San Cai rolled her eyes: “Oh right! I forgot that I was dating a filthy rich guy.”
Lei laughed: “You forgot to mention handsome.”
San Cai: “Are you alright carrying all those bags?”
Lei: “Nope.”
San Cai shurgged her shoulders: “Oh well.”
They both laughed and Lei dropped the bags onto the floor, he called someone to pick them up and deliver them to their cabin.
“Rich, rich, rich.” San Cai teased
“Sexy, sexy sexy.” Lei teased back and gave her a long kiss on the lips not caring that there were so many people around.
San Cai blushed when he pulled back: “You may not be embaressed but I am.”
Lei smiled naughtily: “But you enjoyed it right?”
San Cai was about to say something back but the person Lei called to pick up their bags arrived.
Lei: “Uh, just deliver them to my current place.”
“Yes, Hua Ze Lei shao ye.” The man said

San Cai and Lei picked out a tree and had it delivered to their place too.
San Cai sighed suddenly.
Lei: “What’s wrong?”
San Cai: “I’ll have to wrap so many gifts.”
Lei held up his cell: “Just one call away…”
San Cai laughed and hit him gently: “That’s the whole fun of it, wrapping gifts, decorating the tree, and making cookies!”
Lei groaned: “Cooking?!”
“Yup.” She dragged him into a supermarket for some food.
~HOURS LATER~
San Cai and Lei were in a jewlery store and she purchased some jewlery for XQ and Xiao You back at home. She also bought herself a few refusing to let Lei pay for them.
San Cai was staring at the rings when Lei appeared besides her: “Want one?”
San Cai felt herself flush: “No, it’s no right.”
Lei: “Why not?”
He saw her staring at a simple ring with three heart studded diamonds pressed onto the band.
“Oh, I get it, these are engagment rings.” He teased
San Cai blushed even more and walked away: “Shut up.”
Lei laughed silently and behind her back, he ordered the saleslady to wrap it up for him.
Saleslady: “Merry Christmas, your girlfriend will be delighted.”
Lei nodded: “I hope so.”
Lei caught up with San Cai outside: “Ei, what’s the rush?”
San Cai: “I thought you wouldn’t be uh, interested in jewleries.”
Lei rolled his eyes: “Oh right, you didn’t ask me that when you dragged me to shop for lingerie.”
“I thought you’d like that.” She teased with a smile
“Like it? My pride went down the drain!” he exclaimed
“Aww, I’m sorry, do you really care about your pide?” she asked
Lei hugged her: “Just kidding, as long as I have you, I don’t need anything.”
San Cai: “Stop being so mushy in the public.”
“I was just trying to show you I didn’t care about my pride.” He joked
~NIGHT~
Lei and San Cai arrived in their dark cabin tired from all the shopping. As San Cai flicked on the lights, she shrieked in delight.
“Oh my god! Lei! Did you do all this?!” she squealed
Lei smiled coyly: “I was with you the whole day.”
She threw her arms around him and hugged him: “Thank you, this is the best surprise!”
The whole cabin was filled with lights and the tree was shinging brightly in a corner, loaded with present on the bottom. Christmas cookies were laid out on a table and a candlelight dinner was waiting for them.
Lei pulled her over to the tree: “Open your presents.”
San Cai’s eyes widend: “All of these for me?!”
“If you want.” He shrugged
A small purple box sat alone on a chair caught San Cai’s attention, she walked over to it.
“From your guardian angel.” She read, she turned to Lei who just gave her an innocent smile and shrug
She carefully opened it and found a soft black velet box. She opened it with trembling fingers and found a ring.
A ring.
The ring she saw earlier.
With tears brimming her eyes, she turned around to Lei who pulled her in his arms and whispered: “Will you marry me?”
“Lei…” She cried, tears streaked down her face as she buried her face in Lei’s chest
“Yes I will.” She murmured and lei smiled happily hugging her tighter.
Pulling away, Lei slipped the ring onto her finger and they stared lovingly at each other, at once, their lips touched and she dropped the empty box onto the floor, slipping her hands around his neck.
With traces of happy tears, they continued to kiss passionately, the whole room steaming up with hot passionate love.
When they pulled away for air, Lei looked at her and hugged her again, trying to make himself believe that she said yes.
“I love you.” He whispered
“I love you too.” She smiled and hugged him back

“At first I thought you wouldn’t like this surprise because you said something about wanting to wrap your own gifts and decorate your own tree.” Lei admitted
“Oh yea, you’re still to blame for that.” She pouted cutely
“Doesn’t matter though, we have many more Christmases together.” She said softly
Lei didn’t say anything but smiled at her.
San Cai looked out the window: “Too bad it’s not snowing.”
“Oh wells, no one has a perfect Christmas.” She replied
Lei pulled a string above him and white confetti fell: “Who says.”
San Cai gasped but then laughed, she moved closer to him: “I forgot, with a boyfriend like you, anything can happen…”she mumbled and kissed him passionately on the lips
